  1. A little further down in the video list is a great video of the week 2 game from a fin fan perspective. It's freakin hilarious!
  2. But, wins and losses are so much more dependent on the team as a whole. Now, I completely agree its important. But, if a QB is in a position like JP was on Sunday and continually throws ints. Then he's to blame. However, if we punt and the defense doesn't get us the ball back; can you really chalk that up to poor QB play. Yes, wins and losses are the most important stat. However, you can't really use them to judge a single player.
  3. Excellent points and welcome. Of course, I say that because I mostly agree. I do, however, think we can still improve the line this offseason. I'm not sure we can do it so much with starters. I really don't know the FAs that will be out there. I do think that a good draft is needed that will add depth and a solid future for the line. JP, unforyunately for a few, does appear to have the makings of a good QB and I feel he's here for at least another season or two - borrowing some colossal collapse. If you've been reading for a while, you know how wrong we are in these statements. Again, welcome to the posting side. I too watched for quite a while before I began posting. And I still try to keep my posting down to a minimum.
  4. I won't bring up the sun either. I really don't think it was a problem by then. Rather, I think the biggest problem was the line (I know, I know). But, as I saw it, there were alot of guys between JP and the defender, so he probably didn't see the guy. JP should have side-stepped a little to make sure he had a good lane to make the throw. I believe the announcer even commented as such. The line did their job and held up the protection, but JP couldn't see enough of the field to tell if a defender was baiting him in. Hopefully, he'll learn that with those type of passes, he has to side step (if needed), or be absolutely sure a defender isn't there to make that play.
  5. I'm afraid the only thing that will slow LT down is 2 feet of snow. Our defense makes average backs look great. LT will likely break records on us. To beat them would be nothing short of a huge upset. No win for this team is gonna be easy. And I certainly wouldn't just write the Titans off. They've been playing tough all year. And Travis will want to have a big day; and again have we stopped a back all season? I'm hopeful, but not expectant.
  6. I'd agree with this. No one is right 100% of the time. Personally, I agreed with the call in NE, loved it. I wasn't happy with the punt, yesterday. It did work out and, therefore, I must have been wrong. At the time, I thought there was no way in hell our defense would stop them with enough time to do anything. Again, I was wrong. However, what do we make of the decision at the end of the 2nd quarter? We had about a minute or so on the clock and ran the time off - content with a 3 point lead. A similar decision was made last week against the Colts. In the end, I guess we didn't make a mistake and stayed in the games, but could we have scored in both (or either) of those situations and perhaps changed the game? So far, the trend I would say we're seeing is a highly conservative one. I must say though; I am difinitely liking the personnel decisions of this coaching staff. I'm still a little un in the air over their game time adjustment ability.
  7. I truly hope so. Its been a long time coming.
  8. That pretty much sums up how I watch most Bills games these days. On the second Evans TD, I sat in disbelief until they were kicking the point after. I was like.... no way, no way that just happened. Even after the final TD, I was thinking wait we still have 9 seconds. Man it's nice to have this win.
  9. Nicely stated! And I agree, I was convinced we were on our way to losing that game. Especially when we punted with 3 minutes left. But, JP proved me wrong and clearly showed he's got some skills. Now he and the rest of the team need to build off this and keep moving forward. This was absolutely the best way to win this game.
  10. Absolutely should include loss of down.
  11. JP's best game.... yet. He'll have many more over the next 10 years.
  12. Yeah right. He'll still find some crap to spew.
  13. Anyone that can say JP hasn't shown a glimpse of greatness, is insane. Great game in every respect! However, I really want to say I'm really starting to love Holcomb. The number of times he's talking to JP, seemingly helping him understand things and encouraging him. He's really becoming a favorite of mine.
  14. I think he's just ULTRA conservative and figures why risk anything. We have the lead and get the ball back to start the 3rd. So, why not just run out the clock. On one hand, I can see the logic. On the other, I think it shows a definitive lack of balls.
  15. On the fumble at the end of the secong quarter, he was "helping" tackle the guy with the ball. That's about the only time I can really say that I've seen his jersey.
  16. Exactly. Looks like some of those people that wanted an exciting high scoring loss are getting their wish. If the defense can't step up, this as all the makings of a colossal loss.
  17. There was 26 seconds after the 2nd down run. 3rd down play.... left 20 seconds on the clock. Then we punt. Friggin pathetic!
  18. 2 weeks in a row and nothin not even an attempt to get points before the half!!! Jauron is really starting to piss me off.
  19. Houston must really suck! Seriously, now why haven't we opened it up like this more often?
  20. More importantly... did you notice him roll out to his right on the 2nd down play.
  21. How bad is this... when he made the interception, I thought of you.
  22. I spent the week on the road and talked to many friends who were Steeler, Eagle, and Bear fans. And believe me they love to give me crap about the Bills. However, they all thought the Bills played a good game and probably should have beaten the Colts. It was quite refreshing given my feelings after the game and reading all the comments here. So, maybe we're not as bad as many here think? Just throwing it out there.
  23. The difference is this.... with the QB under center, he has to drop back 5 steps takes say 2 seconds. Then look for receiver 1, receiver 2 ..... bam. He's getting hit or has someone right in his face. So he's throwing rushed or getting sacked after 3 - 3.5 seconds. In a shotgun, the ball is snapped; he's already back and looks at reciever 1 - who's running a slant and ....bam. He's throwing the ball in 2-2.5 seconds. Maybe its not always complete, but its not nearly as bad. Then mix in a few rollouts, a few bombs down field, and a RB draw from that shotgun position. And what do you know, suddenly we're not that predictable. And maybe we finally getto see if JP can be a QB.
  24. This fact is sooo true and oh sooo sad at the same time. What other team in the league boasts about their punter?
