The first holding was definitely a make up call for missing the facemask on Ramsey that led to the touchdown. 2nd DPI was legit. IMO

Spotrac has Levi Wallace valued @ $9M/yr. Thoughts?
Dan replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think Levi is nearly as bad as many people here think he is. If he walks, he will be missed. I also don’t think much matters unless the Bills stop playing so tentative on defense. They all hesitate at the point of contact in an effort to not give up the big play I guess, but always allowing a few extra yards. Some call it soft, I call it tentative/ cautious defensive play. -
My sincere condolences to you and your family. For what it’s worth... I recall him here and and for a time he was one of the posters I always looked to for wisdom amongst the misery.

Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game
Dan replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have to completely agree. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt during the season (and honestly what choice did we have). But now... after exiting the playoffs again, largely due to the defense. They have to rethink the defensive strategy, including players and coaching. What they’ve built is good... but it’s not good enough. -
Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game
Dan replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
All but 2 or 3 losses in the last 2 seasons can be attributed to the defense in one way or another. We have to find a way with Dabs leaving to maintain the offensive stability we’ve seen the last 2 years. But more importantly we have to do get better on defense. Be more aggressive? Tackle better? Cover a tight end? I don’t have the answer... but, I also don’t have confidence that the guy running the defense the last 2 years has the answer either. This is the off season, IMO, when good teams take some serious looks in the mirror and make the necessary, and often painful, tweaks to the roster and coaching staff to finally get over the hump and become great teams. -
I was fortunate enough to get last minute feee tickets, bought a plane ticket and was there with my sister. It was absolutely worth every penny spent and every ounce of heartache endured. Outside the stadium, the tailgate lots were packed! I’ve never seen a game in Buffalo, my sister has. But I imagine the Bills tailgate scene being similar. Everyone we saw was friendly and good natured. We talked to quite a few chiefs fans... and Bills fans . It was fun. People willingly shared brats and hamburgers with us, I think I bought 1 beer the entire day, everyone I met offered a beer. inside the stadium it was off the chain!! I honestly don’t know how the players can hear anything. I couldn’t! We didn’t sit for a single minute... other than for Nelly. Pregame we walked down by the field and watched Diggs play catch with the kids... one kid he threw the ball to about 4 times till he caught it. It was so nice. Talked to his dad after... he said Diggs gave his kid a once in a lifetime memory that made the long drive worth it. All the KC fans around us loved seeing it and wished they had a player like that. During the game, we had good natured back and forth with the ups and downs of the game. It was fun. The crowd was absolutely crazy loud and into it. Again more free beer. The final couple minutes are honestly a blur for me. I was literally in shock after the 2pt conversion. I just couldn’t believe Josh did that. All the KC fans were congratulating me with fist bumps. Thanking me for one of the best games they’ve seen. Telling me Bills will win the Super Bowl. Then ...we lost. I retuned the fist bumps and congratulations. But I was still in shock to be honest. I saw Josh do something I didn’t think a Bills QB could do.. then I saw the defense just choke it away. Maybe they were in shock too? At any rate, walking out of the stadium was the first time I heard a few “Bills Suck” shouted by some random drunk ass. But that was easily the few. Most everyone saw my Bills gear and said something nice along the lines of... this is going to be a fun rivalry for years..Josh Allen is a stud. It was an amazing experience. One that I’d do again and recommend anyone do. Arrowhead and the KC fans treated us well. I’m just sick and damn tired of adding the ...but we lost at then end. It still hurts.

Like I said this morning... I just sick of of these great amazing games that everyone talks about and loves... but the Bills lose. So now for 20 years we get to hear about the 13 second Kansas City shuffle or whatever catchy thing they’re gonna call it. And NFL network will show replays forever. And all I wanna do is forget about it because it’s further evidence that our franchise is cursed.

It was reminiscent of the TB game. Fight all 2nd half, playing lights out. Get to OT... fold.
-
This is why I think a new defensive coordinator is in order. One year ago our season ended because they couldn’t stop Kelce and Hill from beating them.
-
I was thinking that during the game. We really missed Tre last night. Badly. couldn’t agree more I don’t know what exactly. But they need to make some changes to the defensive players and/or coaching staff. Our last two seasons have ended in the exact same place. They need to figure out how to get over the KC hump. And it’s gonna take more than just hoping some other team can beat them for us.

It was one hell of a game. I’m glad I got the last minute ticket and my sister and I could go. Around us ...all the Chiefs fans were good natured anf fun and congratulated me for winning... when we had 13 seconds left. Then.. Well ***** fell apart. I’m just tired of being the good guy in the stands that the other teams fan congratulate and tell me how good our players are, how much respect they have for our QB, how good it all was... and yet walk away with the loss. Once again the Bills were in one of the greatest games played... and lost. ***** we’re all so long over due to finally just be the ones that win this game. It sucks. It hurts. At what point do the crushing losses just overwhelm the joy of a couple wins? This is close to it.

Got Covid and too sick. So just thought give them to another big fan... and they’re chiefs fans of course. Pretty solid deed!

Divisional Round SATURDAY: Bengals at Titans, 4:30 on CBS
Dan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
In all seriousness... what was the purpose of going for 2pts? Makes absolutely zero sense. And in the end, they could have been running the clock out and not been passing -
Holy crap! I just scored 2 free tickets to the game tomorrow. A friend in KC can’t go, so giving them to me and my sister. I just booked a last minute flight for tomorrow morning! We gonna be in section 108. Too unreal!!

Love that! You know the team is motivated for this game... it feels like the entire season from training camp to today has been preparing to play the Chiefs in Arrowhead in the playoffs. I really hope they can pull it out. Its a bit ridiculous looking at all the offensive stats..just how close these 2 teams are. Which is why, in my mind, the game comes down to which defense can force the most stops or turnovers. Go Bills!

I think the season long rankings are a little skewed, because the Chiefs started so slow. So as I see it, we’re mirror images on offense. Both teams have a dynamic, game changing QB that can make plays in every way. And both teams have the offensive play makers to scare any team. I do think the Bills have the slight edge on defense. Our guys are more disciplined and just all around solid. But it’s certainly not enough to shut the Chiefs completely down. So in the end, I think this game is going to come down to the coaching staffs and the in-game adjustments. Add to it which team just wants it more. And I think that will determine the winner. Let’s just hope the Refs call an even game because I’d hate that to be the headline on here next Monday.
-
Completely agree. But anyone thinking the Bengals are a better team than KC ..in KC.. are delusional. The Chiefs have all the experience and talent to win out. Let’s not kid ourselves... Chiefs are easily the 2nd best team in the AFC right now.

1/15/22 WC PLAYOFFS Bills vs Pats* Postgame Thread
Dan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I, of course, wore various Bills shirts all week. And got a lotta “Go Bills” every where I went (grocery store, Lowe’s, liquor store, normal places down in NE Florida). But what surprised me was the number of people that said... “Buffalo has a big game this weekend. I don’t really watch football, but I’m pulling for them. I really hope they win.” The NFL media loves the Pats... but the rest of the world is completely sick of them. -

1/9/22 Gameday AFCE Champs vs Jets Postgame Thread.

I see it differently. I think for 2 weeks in a row he took chances because he felt he could. And when needed.. he pulled it back in and easily won the game. -

Go Bills!!! Back to back division champs is a hell of an accomplishment. Am I the only one that things they took the last 2 game a a little loose/light. Got a lead and just started playing loose. The game got close... then they buckled down. For the 2 score lead and cruised again. I think they’re feelin supremely confident going into the playoffs.
