  1. Absolutely! How can anyone say winning the division, a home playoff game, and a playoff win is anything but? That’s represents an improvement in every aspect for the team and achieves success we Bills fans haven’t seen in a millennium.
  2. Agreed beating Pittsburgh, Miami, and the Patsies is far better for our seeding and winning the division. So a loss against the 49rs isn’t the end of the world. However, PIT and MIA may be the two toughest games we have to play. So it would be really nice to continue to build a cushion with a weaker SF team. So a loss in a week or two wouldn’t hurt as bad. So in some sense this week is a must win! LOL .... I don’t think we can call it a statement game. But surely if we don’t dominate them, then it must mean something. But back on point, this week we could lose and still be ok. But, a win would be setting us up really well to maintain the division lead.
  3. Good to know... I wasn’t sure about the bad snap. But figured the missed protection was perhaps on Barkley for not calling the right blitz pickup or something. Interesting to see Morse take the blame for 2 key missteps.
  4. Can we talk about that for a minute? How horrible is that, Barkley comes in for one play it’s the one time they don’t even attempt to block Bosa and give him a clean hit on Barkley. Does the right guard just not like him? lol
  5. I think “newer” fans have all grown up I no the fantasy football era. And as such, they look at point totals, stats, and such as an indicator of being good. 300 yd passer..is good. 150yd passer is bad. Doesn’t matter that the team wins or loses. So yeah they won, but where’s all the amazing stats to show they dominated? Because you can’t just win you have to dominate and every other hyperbole you can think of. I think the league has some doing in all the come backs and so many of the close games. I don’t want to get too conspiratorial, but it seems we always get rash of ..really.. bad calls to tighten the game up and make it a lot closer on the score board than it really was. Yesterday was no exception. It’s almost as if the Refs decided they needed to get it to a one score game and made sure the Bills didn’t run away with it. The notion that you have to beat the Refs and the other team is as true now as it has ever been. 8-3 is feeling pretty sweet!
  6. I’ll respectfully disagree. Yes, the level of competition is a lot tougher this season, but the glaring problem on this team, other than injuries, has been the line play. Even if we say the level of play is a wash, they’ve lost leadership and perhaps even some chemistry that it’s taking time to regain. Back to the OP’s question, I wouldn’t make that same mistake again.
  7. I would bring him back without hesitation. Perhaps the biggest problem with the team this season is the miscalculations they’ve made on both the lines. They let Phillips and Shaq walk and the replacements haven’t performed even close to their level. Similarly the on the offensive line, they’ve let Spain walk and then benched Morse and the run game has tanked. Both our lines have taken a step backwards. No way I would let a consistent player like Hughes leave. He’s not the best DE in the league but he’s good.
  8. I would have that video playing on a loop in the locker room. Sure the Bills may lose Sunday. But, those takes are completely horrendous and disrespectful to a team that is 7-2 and beaten the teams they have, the way they have. I don’t think the Bills ..have.. to win the game this weekend. But imagine if they do, and all these guys heads exploding. Just imagine going into the bye at 8-2 having beaten the Patsies, the Seahawks and the Cards in the 3 previous weeks. Man I can’t wait for Sunday!!
  9. What I think I like most about Allen... is no down and distance seem too far. 3rd and 5 used to make me say just bring out the punter already. With Allen, 3rd and 5 can become 3rd and 10 after a false start; then 3rd and 20 after a hold. No problem.. he can convert this; I say to myself. That is a truly good feeling.
  10. I felt good after we got the onside kick. Didn’t really relax till we got the first down and I saw the victory formation. BTW... hugely underrated play by Josh and seemingly overlooked due to all the other crazy good plays. ..3rd and 6 and almost certainly giving the ball back became an easy 3rd and 1 after a good hard count and jump Offside. Run the ball, 1st down, game over.
  11. If anyone is under the radar... it’s the Steelers. I see more talk about KC and TN ..and the Steelers are still undefeated. But maybe I don’t know.. I’ve stopped watching all the pregame shows.
  12. Living in Rhode Island. Had just gotten married that spring and starting my doctoral program at URI. In those pre-internet days, I followed the Bills with my Shout! subscription and long distance calls to my family on Sunday. So much has changed since then..now I group text with the family on Sundays.
  13. I started the day thinkin no way the Bills win. I just figured our defense couldn’t keep up with their offense. I was.. soooo wrong! And Josh Allen. Oh my. If anyone has any doubts, they’re just idiots. I definitely have BBFS though. LOL I can’t sit easily until they have at least a 3 score lead even though they dominated the game all afternoon. What a great game! And a Great Win!!
  14. Interesting notion. BBFS is definitely a strange phenomenon.
  15. So wait... you’d feel better about the team and this season ..today.. if the Bills had LOST to the Patsies 38-35? The 24-21 win means gives you less confidence in this team!?
  16. This is a trick question... Its a well known fact that any team the Bills beat is garbage. Because, well, how could the Bills beat a good team? So, you can't get a signature win if you only beat bad teams.
  17. Exactly. It wasn’t a dominating blow out. So what... people need to get over it. Yes, this team has lots to work on to be elite. But, they beat the Patriots for the first time in the McDermot era. They’re 6-2. Multi game lead in the division. If you can’t enjoy this weekend, why are you watching Bills’ football?
  18. I must admit... I spent half the game thinking the defense looks soft and wondering how the offensive and defensive lines went from team strengths to weaknesses in one off season. We beat that ***** team! I love it! But you do have to wonder how we’re going to fair over the last half of the season when they seem so soft up the middle on both sides of the line. We all keep waiting for them to figure it out. But at this point, I think Beane rolled the dice on letting some guys walk and it hasn’t worked out. But for now.. Just enjoy this win! We don’t beat that ***** team often!
  19. I couldn’t remember his name to save my life! Ooooh how I harken back to the days when the value of your posts was determined by the car you drive and not just how much crap you could make up.
  20. I must admit... I’m getting tired of watching this defense get pushed all over the field. They play small. They lack leadership and a desire to actually play hard. Maybe Spain’s good run blocking and bad pass blocking is better than what we got now. I don’t know, but the Oline can’t run block for crap.
  21. Exactly. First time in a while the Bills ..as a team.. came out flat. They looked ill-prepared and unmotivated. That was the aspect of the loss that sticks with me the most. It happens. Teams have bad weeks. Hopefully it doesn’t happen too many more times.
  22. This is perhaps the most epic pregame thread ever. And they just added 2 more pregame days for which we can gnash and gnarle away. Go Bills!
  23. Yeah the Bills don’t win by enough. We suck. It really gets old these kind if hot takes. The Bills won. The led the entire game. We’re 4-0. Enjoy the ride!
  24. Ok... If you have an Apple device... ask Siri who the best team in the NFL is? It seems obvious who is gonna win this game.
  25. Was just about to say that. But yeah..similar distance to go... Penalties no longer seem unsurmountable.
