I love it. They obviously wanted Rivers and had to settle for the #2 LB. -

Who does Mayock have us drafting? So far, he's 5 for 5. -

Given the number of good RBs on the Raiders, how can they pick another one? Glad I'm not a Raider fan. -

That's why NFL Network is better, no commercials yet. -
I was thinking (dangerous I know), but there's been discussion that this is a deep draft - perhaps it is perhaps it's not. But another question, is there a big drop off in talent from the top 6 (possibly7 or 8) guys? It seems that there's a larger number of trade talks being considered in the top 5-6 picks. More than usual. Am I just paying attention this year, or is there any possible reality in which this may be true.

Chiefs POSSIBLY taking Glenn Dorsey
Dan replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. How does going to Friday night make it less likely that teams work out deals and it all gets reported hours before the draft? It doesn't. -
Agreed. On one hand if he was a Bill, I'd be thinking.. F him. If he doesn't want to be here, then screw him. However, on the other hand, I'd think... F him. If he doesn't want to play then let him sit on the bench till 2011 and ruin his career. When you let players run the franchise, it's never good.

Not all streets are "mapped" or photographed. I think you can only drag him to certain streets. If you click on the "Street View" button, the streets that you can mover around on are outlined in blue.

Agreed. If all these reports pan out, then I think it'll be safe to say this is the first and last year we have an afternoon start (or should be the last year, at least).

All Huuuge Bills fans know that Hamdan Rocks! (and so do many of the smaaall ones)
-
Oh ye of little chroise. The QB of the future is already on our roster. One chroisen one is worth 2 mortals any day. QB position is so far away from being a concern that I can't even spell QB let alone worry about it. Shall I remind all that Hamdan does indeed Rock!

ESPN: FA cornerbacks overpaid and overated

I thought that was considered tampering to talk to a player before FA starts? -

Huge assumption here. The only way you get a low first rounder is if a team with a low first round pick signs him. Seeing as how SanFran was the team interested in him, they would have had to give up a high first rounder. Maybe that would be something they wouldn't want to do. So maybe they don't sign Clements. So maybe he stays on the team last year, sucks it up and plays remarkably average because he's pissed, tells other FAs don't sign with Buffalo because we have no Applebees, walks this year, and here we are today talking about how the front office failed because they didn't sign a long-term contract with a player that made it pretty clear that he wanted out of Buffalo. Furthermore, plenty of teams franchise big name players only to have those players stay. How often does a franchised player actually switch teams. Sure it happens, but (without looking it up), I'm willing to bet that the majority of the time a player is franchised, he plays for that team. To sign a franchised player, you have to pay lots of money and draft picks. It seems like a high price. Hence, Moss is still in NE, Briggs stayed in Chicago, Haynesworth is a Titan, and so on. I find all this talk of CBs interesting. Exactly what big hole did losing Clements create? Greer stepped in and did well enough. CB play was far from the weakest link on defense. So, until we use the #11 pick on a CB, can we all step back, take a breath and talk about the real needs on the team. -
I'm with you 100%. I hate phones period, but couldn't work without one. But, no way do I want to be expected to answer email from anywhere. I have the cheapest Nokia the store had (and its still got more than I need - a camera whatever). It gets great reception. It's small, fits in the pocket well. No flip top to break. Coupled with Cellular South service, its by far better for talking without dropped calls from anywhere in the country than anyone's phone that I've been with who have fancy flip phones and some "national" service provider like Verizon or Cingular.
-
Absolutely! History has clearly shown us that flip flopping Qbs just doesn't work. I would be really worried if Hamdan ever takes the field. And its largely why I hesitate to even think it. Could you imagine him taking the field, melting the snow beneath his chroisen feet, breaking every conceivable passing and team scoring record ever set by such a margin that they decided to suspend the football season because its so clear that the true pinnacle of the sport had been reached. The game would never be the same. We would forever see a dulled game in the wake of such greatness. Of course, we would have world peace as the the world comes together each Sunday to watch his play. But, that's another story.
-
This is what worries me. Edwards will most likely struggle. He's a second year QB with less than a full season of starts under his belt. Add in the fact that we're still a young team, and you've got the classic recipe for an up and down performance from the QB. The question will be, does Jauron stand by his man or does he waffle? My guess... he waffles. The best scenario for the upcoming season would have been for JP to look good last season so that he could be progressing with the rest of the team in 08. That didn't happen. So, now we have a rather glaring question mark sitting right in the middle of our offense that most assume will be great or at the least not be a hindrance. However, the reality is we really just don't know. He's shown flashes of being good. But, so does JP; so do alot of QBs.

I WAS WITH SCHOBEL AND HE SAID THE TEAM WAS TRADING HAMDAN TO MIAMI FOR THEIR ENTIRE 2009 DRAFT, PLUS A FREE VACATIONS HOME IN THE KEYS. MAYBE THE DOLPHINS ARE PLAYING WITH US? -
