Maybe they were thinking the players would want to make sure their families were all ok during the storm? -
What are your thoughts on John Murphy as our radio announcer?

Good lord is there ANY THING about this team we’re not criticizing this week!? I do wonder if some posters here actually like anything in the world. -
Anyone ever consider that blue over blue is the owner’s favorite combo, and she’s recovering from health issues. So the team is wearing that combo in support of her. ?? Just a speculation.

Considering that since the season opener we’ve had multiple starters miss each game, along multiple starters playing with fairly serious injuries; I’d say the depth on this team had been tremendously good. We’re 6-3. Yeah, should be better, but with all the injuries each week this is the type of season you see alot of teams 4-5 at this point.

The safest and surest decision to secure a win is to get the FG at that time in the game. You now would force them to score 2 touchdowns and make both extra points (they missed one). If the other team does that you only need a FG to still win the game. So, at that point, with limited possessions, you’re forcing them to score 2 touchdowns and keep you from getting 1 FG. In the first quarter, maybe 2nd, sure go for the TD. But late in the game extend your lead any way you can and force them to drive the whole field with each possession.

Quoted so its not buried. You nailed it. #2 and 3, in particular seem outrageous. Singletary, in my mind, is starting to feel like the Fred Jackson situation. We ha have a pretty good RB, he always picks up positive yards, rarely tackled for a loss; yet they are constantly looking for a replacement and/or abandon running with him all together. It makes no sense. Josh’s QB sweep used to be deadly for yards, including touch downs inside the 15. But we’ve removed that play entirely from the playbook. Did Daboll have it patented and we can’t use it anymore? I agree, don’t call QB keepers regularly, but there is a time and place. But the coaches seem to have zero situational awareness for what is goin on in the game.

Precisely the right call, IMO.

NFL Week 10 - Vikings at Bills post game thread

Exactly. But then they follow those plays up with complete fails... fumble for a td... 4th and 23. And on and on the woes go -

Agreed... the last couple games it just fees like the other teams are making all the tough, contested plays. While the Bills seems to be just out hustled more often than not. They make some plays... but at THE most critical time... they fall short. -

“Just knock it down!” .. needs to be on a plaque over the Bills tunnel... every defensive player should slap it and say... knock it down.. every time they run onto the field. -

At the very least he ..and Frazier.. need to do some serious self evaluation and figure out what they’re doing wrong. The defense let the game get away every bit as much as then offense. -

I absolutely was thinking take the FG. Wish they would have. The end of the 4th... don’t QB sneak. The entire defense expected it... roll Allen out for an easy couple yards or he tosses it out of bounds if they cover him. Do that 3 times.. then take the safety. OT. When you have the ball of the 20.. plenty of time. They should have run it. You don’t need to throw to the endzone 3 times. Some very questionable play calls to say the least. -

Kinda how i feel after the last few weeks and the way the season ended the last couple years -
Yep. You would think now is finally the time to hand the ball off and keep the passes to screens and other such “easy” throws. edit... And can Terry talk to the league about doing something when a QB does a QB sneak and the defender grabs one of his lower legs and pulls him backwards with it nearly 5yds!

Coaching Staff has to take a huge blame for yesterday
Dan replied to BillyBilliams's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m gonna disagree a little... first let me say Josh did not play a great game, made bad throws and reads. He clearly owns some of the blame for the loss. But the Bills punted and the Jets took over in a tie game, 7mins left at their 4 yard line. The defense absolutely has to get a stop. They gave up several long, methodical drives for a score. And that one was the worst. Our defense more often than not seems to give up that final score when they just shouldn’t. Despite all that, Gabe Davis has a few drops on the day. And the worst was the final offensive play of the game for the Bills. Josh hit him perfectly in his chest 60ish yards down the field. And the ball literally fell untouched through his arms. At the very least we should have had a shot at a long, end of regulation FG attempt. Davis just has to catch that ball. I think to place all the blame squarely on Josh is just overlooking all the plays that it seemed the entire team didn’t make at one point or another. -

If we can’t beat teams like the Jets and Dolphins that are “playing like it’s their Super Bowl”... what chance would we have if we played someone that actually was in the Super Bowl? -
The Bills lost yesterday because.... (karma reasons only)
Dan replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Only 2 things I can think of.... made queso and chips at halftime. First time I did that this season. felt supremely confident with 7mins left and a punt downed at the 4 that we’d be kicking the game winning FG. -

Pine Barrens Mafia started the pregame thread yesterday and Chandler81 didn’t start a new one. -
I think you forgot how bad the D line stinks.

Very good points.

I would suggest Mckenzie is not a suitable replacement for Beasley. We lost Crowder too for what that’s worth.

For all of Josh’s bad olay, he still hit Davis in the breadbasket on the final play only to have the ball pass directly through his hands. Yes Josh is struggling for the last 6 quarters but no one other than Diggs is helping him out much.
