  1. Wow. Now that just about takes the cake. If there was any doubt, it has all been erased... JP can do nothing right in some people's eye. Now, he's accused of thinking to hard. Others accuse him of not thinking enough. He's called out for high fives on the sideline. He's accused of looking to calm on the sideline. And the list could go on. I guess I just don't understand all the dislike for a guy that has never said a negative word about the City or the team and has always done all he could to help the team win. I just don't get it. He's not the right guy for this team. No one is arguing that anymore. But why hate on everything and anything he does? Pretty sad, in many ways.
  2. My guess, and its just a guess, but you're gonna be unhappy with his play for a few more years. Because there's no way he's being traded in the off season.
  3. Sitting on the bench while the defense was letting the Cards run a walk through practice on them. I still don't see how offensive players are responsible for stopping a slant on 3rd down.
  4. Quite seriously... if JP had been in the shotgun, I think the defensive guy may have intercepted the snap. He was in the backfield that quick.
  5. Why settle for Garcia? If we're just going to magically sign a player that was unavailable, why not sign Drew Brees or Jay Cutler?
  6. What I want to know is where were all the blitzes? Several time during the Rams game, Poz was turned lose and got to the QB. Greer's interception was largely due to Poz being in Green's face. Ashton and Whitner have both effectively got to the QB coming off the corner. But, where was all that yesterday? They just sat back and watched Warner and his receivers run passing drills all day. Just pathetic, no matter what defense you call it. I get the feeling, based on the way they played and on player comments, that the Bills expected the Cards to play a deep passing game. So they tried to keep everything in front of them. But, you would think at some point they would have adjusted to all the short stuff and at least tried to stop it. My concern: after 4 games does the league have enough film and now know exactly how to beat our offense and defense.
  7. No I presented the facts. You formed an opinion based on those facts. Your opinion was that the big difference was "about 8 minutes of TOP and about 70 yards of plays that didn't all come on 1 play. Thus sustaining drives and helping the defense out by keeping them off the field." My opinion based on those facts was "the defenses failure to stop the Rams on 3rd down, allowing them to drive down the field and score, lost us this game". Essentially you're saying that our defense is best when they're not on the field? After yesterday's game, I would be inclined to agree with you.
  8. That's one way to spin it. Yes.
  9. FWIW, those are total tackles (solos + assists). Schobel, however, is tied with 2 other linemen for the most number of solo tackles (18) in the league.
  10. Wow. Big miss on Hochuli's crew then.
  11. Any rules experts watching? Bush fumbles, but has his facemask pulled prior to the fumble. The facemask was not called. If it was, would the Saints still lose possession?
  12. I thought we were running a Cover 0?
  13. If I had not seen the game, I would watch it. What else would you rather watch than Bills right here and right now? Sure the Cards rolled right over us like we were a division III team, but it's still the Bills. You gotta watch.
  14. Just for fun: Week 4 against the lowly Rams, Trent was 15 of 25 for 197 yds with 1 TD, 1 INT, and 4 sacks. Rams had 380yds in total offense and 28minutes of possession time. Week 5 against the mediocre Cards, JP was 15 of 21 for 220 yds with 1 TD, 1 INT, and 5 sacks. Cards had 373yds in total offense and 36 minutes of possession time. Superficial, I know. But, what was the real difference between these 2 games? Rams game we had 2 forced fumbles, 1 int. And the Rams scored on 2 of 8 drives in the first half. Cards game we had 0 forced fumbles, 0 int. And the Cards scored on 4 of 4 drives in the first half. So what should this tell us? JP, although he looked erratic at times and made a some mistakes, did not lose this game. The defenses failure to stop the Rams on 3rd down, allowing them to drive down the field and score, lost us this game. Does this mean I want JP to start? No. Does this mean Trent should be our starter? No. Does this mean it's nonsensical talking about QB play when the defense refused to stop the slant pass? Yes.
  15. Lee sucks. Can we run him out of town too?
  16. I would say that single point is the single most important issue at hand. There will be bumps in the road, bad games and bad plays. It is how the team reacts to these bumps that will determine their success this year and in the future. As a great man once said, "we must endeavor to persevere".
  17. So what you sayin my little 30"er ain't big enough? Well, it's not the size of the screen, its the mixin of the pixel that counts. Regardless, I still say challenge it. Not so much about being right as much as it is about making an effort.
  18. But I thought once there was a false start the play was over and pretty much anything after that doesn't count. Granted a blatant personal foul would, but that "hit" didn't look blatant at all. It looked like he didn't hear the whistle and played until someone stopped him.
  19. Once again, we see eye to eye. I've said to numerous friends that I hope/expect the Bills to make the playoffs. But, they'll probably lose in the Wildcard round or divisional round if we're really lucky. But, then next year we should be true contenders and expected to make the playoffs and win. So, far I'd say we're very much on track. If we go 3-1 over the next 4 games I might even say ahead of the curve. Bottomline, how this team deals with the loss will be big. They need to learn from it and come out fired up for the next few games.
  20. You definitely have a different feed if you saw several replays. I DVR'd the game and watched that play last night (my take is earlier in this thread). In live action we got one angle - not a very good one (from the side and elevated). They showed one replay, from a straight on angle (probably from the far endzone) - so a pretty good look. But, that was it. They only showed the replay once; then they switched to Jauron on the sideline looking confused; then they switched to the Cards at the LOS; snap -too late. So if you had several perfect shots that were showed several times, you definitely had a different feed than I did.
  21. I have to agree with you, especially this last statement. I certainly don't know for certain, but Bryan seems to get burned every time he steps on the field. Honestly, I think we could leave him on the bench and just have 10 guys on the field an not be any worse. For two weeks in a row, teams have run right at him and he just stood there and watched the guy run right by before he started chasing, I can only assume shouting words of encouragement the whole time.
  22. *lifts head from floor* aaaAAHH!hhhh ahhh. ahh. *passes back out*
  23. I agree to a point. I completely agree that the next 4 games determine our season. Contenders or pretenders? That's the question right now. If we come out of that stretch 3-1 or better, then I think we can be contenders. Anything less and we're leaning towards pretenders. I don't think the season is lost if we end up 2-2 or 1-3 over the next four games - there's still alot of football left. However, I think it dramatically knocks the team's confidence and puts us back in the pack. So, I agree the next 4 games are very important.
