  1. That's what I was thinking. This goes down in the "NFL wants Dallas to win today so they Refs look anywhere but at Dallas and makes blatantly bad call after another" category.
  2. I agree! And going against that soft Arizona defense he should have put up 40 points easily.
  3. If only JP could have played half as good as Romo is, we would have won.
  4. Exactly. Knocks Denver down a game, plus gives us a tougher strength of schedule.
  5. Only high-motored white guys get tired out. Plus I'm pretty sure JP is an energy vortex.
  6. How they saw that as anything but a fumble is unbelievable. I mean completely unbelievable.
  7. Cards get screwed ala Den/SD game. Clearly get Romo and he fumbles; ref says forward progress (?) and blows play dead.
  8. Sounds like JP is finally getting his act together.
  9. And Houston not knowing that they can go for 2 point conversions. ???
  10. I'd agree. But, the fins and Jets aren't looking any where near as bad as I keep hoping they will. Granted they're playing bad teams the last couple of weeks. We could be in a really tight division if all 3 win today.
  11. I can't believe JP keeps getting beat by that wildcat! Trade him for a loaf of bread now! But, yeah, in my mind... if the Jets, Fins, and Pats* all lose today, the Bills gain a win on all 3 without having to do anything. They all have 2 loses, we have 1. It'd be great to for them to all have 3 going into next week. So, if they all lose - we win. Houston just ran a punt back; 14-13 now.
  12. It would be great to see the Dolphins, Jets, and Pats* lose today. Perhaps alot to ask for. But as of now, the Jets and Fins are taking care of easy teams.
  13. Very interesting. I honestly didn't know that. I readily admit there are some things in life I have little or no knowledge of: tax code is one of them. Not that I worry alot about taxes - I just pay whatever the tax man tells me to pay. That does change the math quite a bit though.
  14. I think it's not a bad idea at all. He is a good player. Plus wee have guys like Whitner that could straighten him out. Not to mention, there's nothing outside of the occasional Applebee's for him to hang out at anyway. How much trouble can you get into at Applebees? If Cincy is looking to trade TJ, maybe they'd be willing to talk about trading Chris Henry as well. That would be a great pick up too.
  15. I would say it's the process. To be elected, it seems candidates try to make all of the people happy all of the time. The only way they can do that is to lie through their teeth and support ideas that they fundamentally don't agree with. If they don't they'll never win, because you can bet the other guy (or gal) will promise everything to everyone. So he'll sway voters his way with false promises. In many ways, I would say this is why the 3rd party candidates will never do well. They're too honest and don't try and make everyone happy. So what happens? They become marginalized. Perhaps it's a necessary evil. Perhaps its the problem with this country. But, like it or not, no one is getting elected unless they pander, adopt both more moderate and extremist views, and lie.
  16. I agree. It could lead to more competition, plus that $12,000 figure is an average cost. So, I'm sure there are cheaper options. Not sure if they're better or even adequate options, but I'm sure they're there. From reading that article, it seems they assume your employer will drop your coverage. But then they'll pay you the extra $12,000 that they were using to pay for your health coverage.
  17. Thanks for the read. Sounds reasonable in my admittedly limited knowledge of taxes and health benefits. The 2 immediate concerns are (1) do I get bumped into a higher tax bracket when you add the health care money in and (2) what happens if/when insurance premiums go up each year.
  18. I'm not sure I understand all the details, hence, I'm asking here (god I hope that's not a mistake). But, McCain has suggested giving every family a $5,000 refund check for health care that they can use anywhere they want. I assume that's taxed, but not really sure and, more importantly for my question, not really sure it really matters. According to the National Coalition on Health Care, "The annual premium for an employer health plan covering a family of four averaged nearly $12,100. The annual premium for single coverage averaged over $4,400." OK, so how does giving me $5,000 (or $2,500 for a single person) actually allow me and my family to be covered? What am I missing?
  19. More fuel for the fire... for those that don't get it, at least.
  20. ok that was funny
  21. Exactly. I really hope they beat the Pats*. I'd hate for them to come to town, completely desperate. It seems our last 4 games have been against desperate teams.
  22. Very much agree with that. It is funny how the loss changed that idea for me, though. Going into the Card game, I was thinking that if we won, we'd be 5-0 and on a serious roll. It sucks we have a bye. But, now with the loss, with Trent's injury, with Schobel's foot, with Roscoe, with KO; it's good to get the break. Get healthy and re focus is what this team needs right now. Plus having the extra week to prepare for what will be the toughest game up to this point is good.
  23. No worries. I was just trying to make fun. I completely agree it your original post! It's amazing how 2 weeks ago the Pats* lost and people jumped all over them. They win their next game and all is right on ESPN again. The Cowboys lost a week ago and TO should be cut. They win their next game and all is right on ESPN again. Bottom line... if the Bills win their next game, all is right in Buffalo again. So, I agree. Let's enjoy that we're 4-1, leading our division, and in a great position to practically secure a playoff spot of the next 4 weeks.
  24. Does a thread complaining about complaining constitute complaining. That's my conundrum.
  25. Only if JT is the resurrected Joe Montana.
