I was uncertain when the season started, but hopeful. During the first month of the season, Trent and the coaches earned my confidence. Eventually, I found myself trusting that they'd find a way to win. Well, needless to say the last few games have shaken that confidence. But, still, going into tonight, I felt certain they could pull it out if given the chance.
Well, after this mess of a game, I must confess it's going to be a long hard road back to trusting this team. Trent made more than a rookie's share of mistakes tonight. It's obvious...painfully obvious that he's lost all confidence in himself and he's playing scared. The coaches have lost all confidence in him, as well. To still somehow be in a position to win this game is a tribute to the defense. To lose it like we did is a testament to Jauron and company giving up on Trent. It's going to take quite a bit to get out of this, IMO.
Sucks.
