You gotta feel bad for a guy that puts so much of himself on the field just to have the coaches show zero confidence in him in the critical moments. He put all the pressure on his shoulders this week, saying the lack of run game was all on him. Then he came out and busted his ass to answer any would-be critics just to have the the ball taken out of his hands when he probably wanted it most.

And the "winning formula" for the game on NBC.... put the ball all in the hands of JP Losman because that Jets were outplayed today. Great. Interestingly, they said Preston pancaking the ref is totally legal. He's in the field of play and therefore has to get out of the way. So don't expect any fines.

Yes, in part. But, on that critical play, Peters doesn't even touch the blitzing DB. So, how can you not put at least some of the blame on Peters for not doing something? By no means do I admonish JP of all blame, but by no means should Peters escape all blame either in that situation.

Yes, for the most part. However, on at least 2 plays Peters guy ran right by him leading to sacks. One other time it happened (I think, but that onw was much more on JP taking to long). The final sack, fumble, TD was Peters' guy and he was in no way slowed down. BTW, love me some Johnson. We should have been playing him all season.

Agreed. Why not mention Peters' lack of blocking that led to 2 sacks that I can recall? And Preston did get some decent blocks in the middle. By no means was he stellar, but going against a guy that owned him a month or so agp; I thought he did fairly well. And I'd offer Lynch's 127 yards rushing as evidence.

That was the play. And it definitely should have been a 15yarder on the Jets. JP had thrown the ball, play is over. Then the Jet defender had his jersey and purposely slammed him to the turf. I've seen far, far less than that called. The announcers never said a word about it. But it was on JP, not Favre, so you let the players play. Part of the double standard in today's subjective refereeing. Kinda like the holding on Johnson in the endzone - not called. Or the phantom hold on McKelvin's TD (by all my replays it was a clean block, the defenders helmet moved, because #57 had his face in his knocking his helmet down). Favre in the playoff chase is good for business.

Not entirely. Sure if JP completes the pass it's a mute point. But, what if he's simply sacked. Now it's 3 and 10ish and you have to almost certainly throw. Bottom line: that call in that situation has more potential bad than good that can happen. A run up the middle has more potential good than bad that can happen. It's kinda like last year's 3rd and 5 play late in the game that JP launches to Evans. Why? You just don't need that play in that situation of the game. In the middle of the 3rd quarter, maybe its not so bad. But, with 2 minutes left in the game protecting a lead, you play it safe and dive into the line with your beast of a RB.

This is another fundamental flaw in our offense. For whatever the reason, we've completely gotten away from it. Early season they were hitting 1-2 plays per game with Evans, but have rarely tried since the slide. And then you wonder why screens and dumpoffs don't work? It has nothing to do with JP. Trent stopped throwing down field as well. I'm not sure if its the coaches, the WRs or the QBs; but it's bad. But the Bills allow the defense to play within 20 yards of the LOS for nearly the entire game.

My biggest problem with Jauron has been and continues to be his lack of situational awareness. There are times when a roll out is good, times when it's bad. Times when throwing from the shotgun are good, times when its bad. Time's when you should run from the I, times when you should PA from the I. Jauron seems to have no clue as to when those situations are. Now, maybe that's all on the OC. But, the offense for the better part of 3 years under Jauron has absolutely no identity. They have big bruising linemen than they try and stunt with. They have a bruising back that they take out of the game inside the 10yard line. They have zero idea how to run an effective WR screen. It's just horrendously pathetic watching this offense fall all over itself with no direction. Honestly, when was the last time our offense looked in sync for more than 1 or 2 drives in a game? Its a level of ineptitude that's almost beyond comprehension.

Perhaps the greatest problem on the team, right there. I agree with you completely. We finally just line up and blow guys off the line and have a good run game. So, they abandon that the first chance they get. Not a singly pass attempt more than 15 yards past the LOS. Horrible.

A Parent gives a 10yer old a loaded hand gun. The kids shoots himself in the foot. Do you blame the kid for being too dumb to not know any better thant to shoot himself? Or do you blame the parent for giving the kid the gun? It's the parent's job to know what's best for the kid. Just like it's the HCs job to know what gives his players the best chance to win.

Johnson is definitely looking good. I think he caught more slants today than any Bills' WR in the last year totaled.

But you don't want a big pass play there. In fact, that's the last thing you need. You just need to run time off the clock and get a first down. Running and only getting 3 yards would have been great there. 3rd and 2 is a great down to have with 2 minutes left. One more short run and that game is all but over.

For the record, I was never down on McKlovin.

Lynch is averaging 4+ yards per carry. It's 2nd and 5. There's 2 minutes left in the game. We're deep on our side of the field with a narrow lead. The play call is a no brainer. Run the ball 2 more times. Best case we get the first down; worst case we punt with under 1:20 on the clock. This is football 101, especially considering how well Lynch was running the ball.

He's one of the few guys capable of actually making a play. I wish we had more players that were hurteded by this play.
