I've said the same thing for years. Why would it be so hard to have a ref sitting upstairs in the booth looking at multiple monitors? He looks at the play and calls it down to the Ref on the field. Simple. No walking around. No talking to each other to find out what each saw. No waiting for the replay to que up. It's absurd what they do.

No, I'm pretty sure Erik is right. If a loose ball simple touches a player that's out of bounds, then the ball is considered out of bounds at that moment.

It's almost like the networks don't want us to be able to look at the play objectively. You may be right, it could have touched him. And had it been reviewed, I could live with that assessment. But to not even be able to look at it is just dumb. For the life of me, I'll never understand why the NFL makes the use of replay review so cumbersome and difficult.

No way it touched the Eagle guy - at least from the replay I saw. In the least, they shouldl be able to review the play. Good point. But, when they showed the reverse angle (granted they only showed it once) it didn't look to hit the Eagle player. At least, I should say, I couldn't see the ball change direction in any way. Either way, I guess it all evened out - which is the excuse the league always uses to keep making bad calls. The Eagles punted and the Cards get a last second field goal. So, in the grand scheme of the game it'll probably mean little.

But the ball never touched an Eagle player. More importantly, it never went out of bounds.

Watched it too. Very good show. I remember hearing this in school (yes I'm old enough to have been taught History in HS) and it really brought it home again, but perhaps Washington's greatest accomplishment was what he didn't do. He didn't let the power go to his head. He had just won the war and was Commander in Chief of the army and just walked away. He was President and had all the goodwill and could have remained President for several more terms, and he just walked away. IMO, he established the precedent for the greatest part of our democracy... the change in power from one leader to the next.

If we can't have a little fun, there's no sense in playing. I would hope even the people that drive nice cars on this board can appreciate that.

So you're saying you make more in one week than all those people make in a year. That's a good start. But, without your car of choice, there's still not enough data to compute an accurate assessment of your inside source.

In a thread of really bad posts.. too many to really mention; this post is pretty well dead on accurate. There was a time when players would leave Buffalo and you heard little about them, i.e. they really were bad to below average players. However, that time has come and gone. Look no further than this year's Championship games. There are several former Bills' players that you'll see contributing to their teams today. That should tell everyone exactly what the problem is. It's not our players nearly as much as it is the people responsible for preparing the players. As one poster so eloquently stated, it's hard for Poz to make an impact play when he runs away from the line of scrimmage as fast as he can at every snap of the ball.

I've worked in O'Hare and they are always very concerned with any animals around the runways. If peta only knew what they did. But, they said the small birds didn't worry them so much; they'd go right through the engines. But, larger birds like hawks and egrets and the like can be real problem.

Take away any QBs best pass catchers and its amazing how average they look. Imagine that. Did anyone watch that Eagles/Giants game? Manning hit several receivers right on the hands with long throws that were dropped. Plax makes those catches; average receivers don't. Giants lose. Simple as that. As suggested, if a Giant fan wants to be mad at anyone it should be Burris for being an idiot.
