  1. Agreed. The single best move this country could make, and perhaps the only way to actually change anyting, would be to have term limits on Congress peoples. Lobbyists and other Special Interest groups spend an incredible amount of time and money buying these legislators for a reason. The President is largely irrelevant in the discussion of the real problems in this country. Who's had more influence on this Health Care Bill, Obama or Pelosi?
  2. Somehow, I don't believe you. I'm not sure why? Maybe its the fact that every post you make disparages the man. There's one thing you're forgetting. You assume Ralph made a Will however long ago and that's it.. now he's waiting to die. Don't you think he could have changed his Will several times over? Do you really think someone that has made as much money as Ralph has is just going to let the chips fall where they may after his passing? Selling your assets to the highest bidder is a lousy plan.. lousy. I would be absolutely shocked if that actually happens upon Ralph's passing. But, by all means, continue with your diatribe. It never gets old.
  3. Just watched the end of the game on NFL Network. Shoeless Rob completed a 2nd down pass to Price, who goes out of bounds with 20 seconds left (hell of a play all the way around!). Then we kick the FG. My first thought was exactly what you said... what coach kicks that with 20 seconds still on the clock? Now the thing they never showed was whether or not Price got the first down. It looked to me like he did (but then again that lateral looked forward to me too), but it was hard to tell with everyone on the sideline and they never displayed the down and distance on the FG try. So, if it was 3rd and short, I can see going for the FG because if you do a QB sneak and don't get the first down, you have no time to get the FG off on 4th down. However, if it was a first down, then Wade blew it horribly. I'd say either way he blew it, because if it was 3rd down, he should have asked for a measurement because it had to be close. That would have bought some time to at least think about things. I understand all that. And its all well and good. However, there's a reason that was the first and only time that a season long starter, whom was healthy, was benched the week before a playoff game. Regardless of how we got to 10-5, we got there. And if it ain't broke, you don't fix it. As it turns out, Rob played well enough to win that game. However, I still say you don't disrupt the team chemistry that got you there. Could Flutie have scored more than 16 pts? Who really knows? I guess it's fun to speculate and debate (for some). However, I didn't like the move then and I don't like it to this day. Not because of Rob or Flutie's play, but because of what it meant for our team.
  4. Maybe Marv did tell him that. However, Marv was blowing smoke like everyone does before the draft or he was overruled in the draft room?
  5. I kinda like crayonzes's questions.
  6. Agreed. I said it before and after that game.. . the winner of that game goes to the Super Bowl. The Titans and Bills were the two toughest AFC teams that year. We both had better defenses than the other AFC playoff teams. About the game, well it's like I've said since then... being a Bills fan ain't for the faint of heart.
  7. I kinda like it. They should have audio problems more often.
  8. Are they having technical problems? Or did they just realize no one wanted to hear Matt Millen blow air?
  9. Can someone just explain how we got a player injured on the Bye week? I'm fairly certain this is a new low in Bills' futility.
  10. I thought we'd have 2 injuries over the bye week. So, I look at it as surviving the bye week pretty healthy if only one player got injured while sleeping on his couch.
  11. Yep. I agree. I heard they only last about 7 or 8 years too. They're kind of expensive to replace though... about $170.
  12. We lurk in the shadows, waiting for the day when our sanity shall rise again!
  13. The problem with threads like this (player A is better, we should have drafted him over our guy) is you're neglecting the primary factor influencing the player's success. Maybin plays for the Bills. Orakpo plays for someone else. There should be absolutely no reason to think that if Orakpo was drafted by the Bills that he'd have 5.5 sacks right now. The Bills have been putting players in positions to fail for nearly a decade. Does anyone really think TO forgot how to run a route this year? Or is it more likely that his production has completely fallen off the cliff because he's playing in Buffalo's offense? Gandy was one of the worst LTs ever, until he went to Arizona and became good enough to start in a Super Bowl. And so on... So, until we get a coaching staff that actually knows how to coach and prepare players to compete in this league, all of these comparisons are grossly flawed.
  14. I can easily see that and think it's the most realistic scenario. However, if Jauron is responsible for drafting all the DBs, that may indicate the HC has considerable input in which players come and go. If so, it's reasonable to assume that new HC may have the same input. So, my question is, if a new HC comes in and he shifts the focus to building the lines (as opposed to the secondary) would that be enough?
  15. Never said he was good or bad... just said he's better than Trent.
  16. I assure you, a Bills Message Board is the only place that anyone might even consider Trent better than Cutler.
  17. Well played, sir.
  18. Yep. It's gotta be the hormones. Because no way chicks looked that good when I was 13-16. No way!
  19. Perhaps you're asking the wrong question. Because the Chroisen One can not fail. I ask you... who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew. Cover it with chocolate and a miracle or two. The Chroisen One can. Who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream; separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream. The Chroisen One. The Chroisen One can.
  20. Loved that article. So, basically, I can't eat anything: Canned tomatoes Beef Microwave Popcorn Potatoes Farm raised fish Milk Apples They could have shortened the whole thing and just said the Aamerican food industry is ed. Unless you live on a farm and grow/raise all your own food; you're gonna get cancer and die.
  21. Otherwise known as the "bend and pray" defense.
  22. Poz's problem is the same as most players on this team. He is much better at taking on the RB at the point of attack and blitzing. So what do our coaches do? They have him run away from the LOS as fast as he can at the snap. Stand there, then run up to make a tackle. He's not a coverage LB, but they're trying to make him one. Simple as that. Anyone see him blitz right up the middle and flatten Shaub a half second after he threw the ball on Sunday? See him play up and hit Slaton for the fumble? Those are the things he does well. So, why is he more often dropping back into a "zone", just so we can say we have a guy standing in the middle of the field? Change the defensive scheme and I believe he becomes a very good LB.
  23. And this thread shows why we're fans and not working for an NFL team. Me, personally, I'd keep them all with the possible exception of Lindell. Momma say what....you say. Yes, the problem with team is not the players - its the way they're being coached. Change the coaches and you'll see a much better team. Granted, I would like to see several of our cuurent starters moved to backup roles. The biggest problem we've had is depth. So, improve the conditioning and keep Kelsay (for ex) as a backup goes a long way to sovling that. Get a good QB and solidify the Oline with some tackles and we'd be a much improved team. Now add a coching staff that knows how to game plan properly, utilize the players properly, and can motivate properly and we come a real team. So, in short, I don't think a cleaning house of players is required at all.
  24. Watching this game is just pissin me off. The disparity between these teams and the Bills is beyond laughable. Matt Ryan just completes a skinny post pass 19 yards down field in 2.1 seconds. Brees actually practices with his WRs to get their timing down. Our guys get the day off and do conference calls.
