Thanks. No worries though. I spelled it like that as a joke to emphasize the RE in the diculous.

Eddie Royal is Rediculous!

Agreed. And look at Norv's teams. They consistently underperform. Jaws just said it, football is a game of emotion. You gotta have it. And the Bills play with as little emotion as I've ever seen.

No way the players look all lost and sad with him on the sideline that's for sure.

He may or may not be a great coach, but I relly love this guy on MNF. He's a lot like a young Madden - full of excitement and passion for the game. Best group they've had in the booth in decades, easily. I know this has been said before, but felt obligate to state it again. Should be a good game!

Tim, I noticed AVP on the sideline during the Jets' game. I believe prior to this weekend he has been up in the booth for each game. What do you know about this? Was he there to help Trent more during the games? Was it a Jauron idea? Can we assume he'll continue to be on the sideline in the future? Just curious. (I would have asked that JW fellow, but quite honestly, I don't think he asks the right questions at press conferences and I find it quite flabergasting. ) edit: Wow, you're good! I just watched the Monday Jauron press confernce (don't ask me why, I'm just a junkie). But, nice to see you bend the space/time continuum and foresee my asking you this question. Nice. (I'm assuming you asked the question because it makes my world a happy place.) Thanks.

Bills Beat reporters...Ya I'm calling you out

Well, I can only say that you would certainly be a fart-sniffer too, if you were sitting in the same room as me. So, sounds like we have some fart envy going on here. I can accept that. I was going to post a sneaky link to a certain peter pan look alike ferry in a vain attempt to support my spelling of flabergast (spelled incorrectly on purpose this time); however, I thought it best to take the higher ground. Because, I'm high like that.. plus I would have had to google that guy and he just creeps me out. Needless to say, my original point, whatever that was, remains. And I'm appaled bythe lack of recognition that point is receiving. (obligatory smiley.. feel better?) -

Yeah, but I bet Brady can throw the ball over that mountain over there. That guy's not human. -

I did. Hopefully, JW accepts my post with the smile in which I was writing it as well. And BTW, I'd eat my self out of business had I been selling fried twinkies. So, no, that wasn't me. -
IMO, that's the biggest issue with Parish (and a few other players on our roster). For whatever reason - lack of talent, lack of coaching - he's not producing. He's essentially an expensive punt returner and even those skills have seemed to diminish. So, does the team end up better cutting him? Regardless of what he does on another team, he's not doing anything as a WR here. So why not try to trade him? IMO, you can't talk about his potential any more. Those years have come and gone. He needs to be producing on the field. He's not. Time to move on. To debate his value to the team is similar to debating the value of that really nice suit in your closet that you wore to your Aunt's wedding 4 years ago. Does it really matter if you give it away? Doesn't matter how nice it looks on you or someone else, you're not wearing it. Might as well make room in the closet for something you know you'll be wearing.

Could have. I agree, the camera angle wasn't very good at all. I disagree. The ball stopped moving when it hit both his hands. He had control, took 2 steps, the ball doesn't bobble or move in any way while taking those 2 steps. Then while taking the 3rd step on his way out of bounds, he begins to bring the ball in and switch it solely into his left hand. That's when the ball moves; but not because he's losing control. He's repositioning the ball to better absorb the hit when he falls to the ground.

I don't care what anyone says... that was a catch. He caught the ball on his fingertips. How is he supposed to pull it into his body and take his right hand off the ball to brace for the hit? He has to move the ball. But, at no time did he bobble or lose control of the ball. It hit his fingertips and he pulled the ball into his chest with one hand. It's physically impossible to do that without moving the ball. The question was did he at any time lose control? No. His left hand remained on the ball the entire time as he was pulling it in. It was a great catch. I suspect when Rexie gave the refs a few bills earlier in the game to get the mysterious too many men on the field, when no flag was thrown penalty; he slipped a few extra in the ref's pocket for later in the game. Speaking of that crap penalty. OK, so maybe the Bills had too many men on the field. I don't know, they never showed a replay. But, no flag was thrown. So, why didn't Rex have to throw a challenge flag to get the refs to make the call? It looked like he called them over, slipped some cash in their pocket, and they made a call. Did anyone actually see a flag?

It was on the Trent sack/concussion. Bell was in the background milling around holding his left arm up and grasping his forearm. It looked like he definitely hurt it. I fully expected him to be done for the day. So, I watched for him, but he stayed on the field. Not sure at all what it was all about; but at the time he looked injured. Of course, it may have been one of those "oh crap my guy beat me like a drum, I better act injured so no one thinks I just suck" moments.

Bills Beat reporters...Ya I'm calling you out
Dan replied to NY Nole's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
See, you miss the entire point. How could you possibly follow the Bills in any shape or form, visit this forum regularly, and not realize that EVERY day is a good day to be critical of the Bills. I'm flabergasted! The Bills never do anything right, never achieve anything positive, and deserve nothing but ridicule and criticism. It seems half the people here are most upset about the game because we won and now they're afraid Jauron might get some good press out of it. God forbid, Jauron turn things around and we have a winning record and make the playoffs!!! That would mean he stays another year and we'll never make the palyoffs! (Of course that won't happen, but that's the concern.) So, please just bash the Bills and, of course, Ralph regardless of what happens on the field. I mean afterall it just makes you feel so good to always concentrate on the negative. Doesn't it? -
Why are so many people turning a blind eye to Trent?
Dan replied to Rayzer32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. He's needed the bench for a while. I was hoping he could work his way through it all. Afterall, he's still young in QB years. But, he's shown zero progress this season. If anything, he's regressed in every aspect. Will he get some of his poise back? I don't know. But, he's definitely gotten tunnel vision. He only sees what he's doing and not what other QBs are doing. You can see it in his play and hear it in his comments. How can an NFL QB say he's not had much experience with a 3-4 defense when every team in your division plays that? How can he say he's not a fan of the Bills, he's a player? How can he honestly sit there and tellus that he thinks every thing is fine when it so obviously isn't? He needs to step back and see what other guys in the league and on his team are doing. He needs to rethink his approach to the game. He needs a break. It'll either completely ruin his career or show him what he needs to do to improve. The choice is up to him. But, one thing's for sure, he's been steadily spiralling down the slope every week. Leaving him in to work out the problems was clearly not helping him. I truly hope the light comes back on and he gets back in there and starts to show that early promise he once did. But, I'm not holding my breath. We know Fitz isn't a long term solution. So, if not Trent, then after all these years we're back to square one with the most important position on the team. (unless they wise up and put Chroise in) -

Dan replied to Rayzer32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Getting knocked out for a week or 2 may be a blessing in disguise for Trent. The guy has lost all his confidence. His decision making has become slow as he's not seeing the whole field. He's looked completely afraid to throw the ball. He needs a few weeks to think about his game, to watch someone with a little more experience, to take a little of the pressure off him. The question will be... how does he respond? -
Is it that the Bills are so good at finding these UFA/Practice squad guys or is it that the Bills are so bad they actually have to play a large number of UFA/Practice squad guys?

Voted You can say what you want about the circumstances, but 6 interceptions is a fine day any way you slice it. We're not voting on the Bills' run defense, we're voting on their pass defense. And yesterday Sanchez looked beyond incompetent - in part because our guys were getting pressure and flying to the ball. -
A Few Questions and Statements about our Bills
Dan replied to StupidNation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The announcers said Whitner injured his ankle. So, I'm guessin his being "taken out" has more to do with him being injured than anything else. -
Hope Parrish is benched for the rest of the year
Dan replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Fouts for the most part. Kinda funny the way he put about 20 circles on the screen to show the Jets had too many defenders on the FG attempt. But, it was obvious he hasn't seen the Bills play much, if at all. -
I'll take a helping as well. I didn't boldly post we'd get beat like a red headed step child; but I gave the Bills zero chance to win this game. It was a big win for exactly why you stated. I still have no faith they'll even get to .500 this year, but at least they beat a divisional opponent. I'll give them credit for that.
-
And Vince Young will throw for a zillion yards in the only perfect game ever... because he'll be in Nashville playing while the Bills will be in Memphis still looking for the stadium.
-
Exactly!!! Holy was I screaming. And then he does it again in overtime after the horrible refjob. The guy just doesn't learn. It's beyond comprehension that he can set up for a long FG, into the wind. Needless to say, I voted no.
