  1. I agree. And, for me, that was perhaps the most surprising cut of the year. I could understand dealing away Peters. Agree with or not, he seemed to have crossed a line with the team. Walker, however, seemed to have a decent attitude. OK, so he may not have been enthusiastic about the move to LT, but at least he was out there every day playing the good soldier. So, when they realize he's not their guy, presumably because he was too slow for the No Huddle. But why not just bench him and have a nice safety valve just in case, oh I don't know, you're starting RT goes on IR in week 1 or 2. Sure, maybe you have to slow the offense down so the fat guy can keep up. But, he didn't seem to be a complete train wreck out there last season. I guess it just didn't go the way they would have liked. But, oh well, life sucks.
  2. Alas, its only in the land of make believe that I can invision the Bills being successful.
  3. I thought he was already injured. Hmmm. See I guess I did learn something new out of the PC.
  4. According to the OP, someone you don't know dies. So, it would have to be your future wife, that you haven't met yet, dies in a car crash. I imagine that's the plot twist, they push the button and someone that is seemingly irrelavant is slated to die. But then they realize this person was going to save the would or lead the Bills to the Super Bowl or some other such achievement.
  5. Am I the only one that hears, "It didn't go the way we wanted, but oh well life sucks."?
  6. Says it all. No way you risk giving Manning the ball back with a short field like that. No way.
  7. Damn. Peyton just reaffirmed how great football can be. WOW!
  8. Holy crap! What was Belicheck thinking!!! Talk about some balls. Man I hope Manning makes him pay.
  9. I don't get it. What are they doing out there?
  10. Yeah, I half expected they'd score a touch down. But, if you know anything about football, you make them do that. You just have to take that penalty. A head coach in the NFL has to know that. The single worst thing the they could do on that drive is score and our coach gave them the oppurtunity.
  11. Visit the thread.
  12. According to Yahoo, he's 8-13 at 50+ yards in his career. He's 40-51 at 40-49 yards out. So, he's a pretty good long kicker. I'd put him at better than 50% for a 51 yarder. Again, I agree, the Titans may very well have gotten the 10 yards back. Hell, they may have scored a TD on a Johnson screen. But, the point is you MAKE them. You don't just concede that your defense can't stop them. Jauron told his team, with his decision, that he has no faith in them to play. And based on the final score, the players responded accordingly.
  13. Whether they get the yards back or not is not the point. The point is you MAKE them get the yardss back. I agree a 51 yarder is no gimmie, but with their kicker its certainly in his range. The problem is Jauron just conceded the FG try, rather than giving his defense a chance to stop them - or God forbid get a turnover. Afterall, we have a guy in the secondary that leads the league in interceptions. Similar to earlier in the year when he took is offense off the field, late in the game when we needed 2 scores; today he took his defense off the field when we needed them to stop the Titans without a score. I'm sorry, but there's not a coach in the league that would not have backed them out of FG range. Jauron wuit on the team. What's so bad is its not the first time and much like the previous time, the team let him know how they felt by completely falling apart after that. If it's not apparent that he's lost this team by now then it never will be.
  14. Are you suggesting that because the Titans converted a 3rd and long earlier in the game, you don't push them out of FG range and force them to convert a 3rd and long again? You do realize that a 10point lead with 3and half minutes left, and this offense, is a near insurmountable lead.
  15. He is literally the lone bright spot on this team. When he made that pick, I just shook my head in disbelief. The guy is tremendous.
  16. I'm fairly certain his contract status is no longer an issue. Surely, they could show tape of this last game and find Jauron in breach of contract because there's no way you can say this team is being coached.
  17. And with 2 weeks to prepare, he gives them all multiple days off from practice and they come out with a mistake-filled, double digit penalty performance. Way to keep them sharp.
  18. Every player on the team should have just walked off the field. How do you not accept a penalty that pushes a team out of FG range and at least force them to get it back? Unbelievable was Gannon's call and he's absolutely right. Unbelievable.
  19. Can we just in fire him already and put us all out of our misery?
  20. What's worse... a player dropping passes and not caring? Or a player dopping passes and the coach still thinks he doesn't need to practice with his starting QB?
  21. To be fair, they reached that point about 2 years ago. It's only your optimism as a fan that allowed you to be entertained until recently. Don't feel bad, though. We're in the same boat together. There really isn't much to say anymore. The Bills are a bad team - period. They playing boring, uninspired football. They have boring, uninspired coaches. They have boring, uninspired players. Maybe they scratch out a win, maybe they don't; it really doesn't matter. There's absolutely no way this team can be considered relevant. We all know it, even the players know it. Everyone is just going through the motions - the players because they're paid to, us fans because its more habitual at this point. Maybe it changes this off season, maybe it doesn't. "8 weeks left and we all know the season is already over"... pretty much sums it all up.
  22. Could you provide a link to the quoted article? I'm most interested in the date. Because, people change. Their opinions change. Their decisions change. So, unless that article was written in the last 2 months, there's more than a possibility that the situation has changed. By the way, I agree with Ralph, talk of selling the team when the owner has clearly stated that he has no intention of selling the team and as long as he's alive he'll be the owner aand keep the team in Buffalo, is distasteful. And if Kelly does have the notion to buy the team, he needs to respect Ralph's wishes and just shut up about it. Now, has Ralph run the team badly during the last decade? Yes and No. He and the FO have made some poor decisions, but I wouldn't say its from lack of trying. But, it's not as black and white as many suggest. There have been some good moves over the years, just not enough to negate the bad. And, yes, someone like Reese could be great.. but weren't a lot of people sayign the same thing about Donahoe? My point being, just because you or any one is convinced that's what this franchise needs, there's no guarantee that it's going to work.
  23. Well thanks for wasting 20 minutes of my life. I tried that and got a lotta natta, well unless you count the several TSW references. Oh well, my fault for being bored and trying to avoid doing what I really should be doing today. So where is this recent text of Ralph's Will that says he cares nothing about Buffalo and will put the team up for auction? Also, can you please provide some proof that the league will actually allow the team to be sold to the highest bidder? While you're at it, provide some evidence that I or anyone else has said that "Ralph Wilson has made arrangements after his death to keep the team in western NY out of the generosity of his spirit". Myself, and a few others, have suggested that there are far better ways to estate plan than to die and sell off all your assets in an auction. Perhaps that is Ralph's plan. However, I'm of the opinion that Ralph has a little more intelligence than that. I'm not suggesting that he has solid plans to keep the team in Buffalo, mind you. I'm simply suggesting that it's logical to assume he's made provisions for the teaam after his passing and he's decided not to tell the world of those plans. But, what you fail to realize is that the absolute only way for the Bills to absolutely stay in Buffalo is for Ralph Wilson to stay alive and continue to own the team. Once the team changes hands, regardless of who buys them... all bets are off. Unless, of course, the new owner promises to keep the team here and is as true to his word as Ralph has been regardless of the financial situation. But keep in mind, any new owner will suddenly be 100's of millions of dollars in debt and that can change a lot of priorities real fast.
  24. Agreed. The single best move this country could make, and perhaps the only way to actually change anyting, would be to have term limits on Congress peoples. Lobbyists and other Special Interest groups spend an incredible amount of time and money buying these legislators for a reason. The President is largely irrelevant in the discussion of the real problems in this country. Who's had more influence on this Health Care Bill, Obama or Pelosi?
