  1. To be fair, they reached that point about 2 years ago. It's only your optimism as a fan that allowed you to be entertained until recently. Don't feel bad, though. We're in the same boat together. There really isn't much to say anymore. The Bills are a bad team - period. They playing boring, uninspired football. They have boring, uninspired coaches. They have boring, uninspired players. Maybe they scratch out a win, maybe they don't; it really doesn't matter. There's absolutely no way this team can be considered relevant. We all know it, even the players know it. Everyone is just going through the motions - the players because they're paid to, us fans because its more habitual at this point. Maybe it changes this off season, maybe it doesn't. "8 weeks left and we all know the season is already over"... pretty much sums it all up.
  2. Could you provide a link to the quoted article? I'm most interested in the date. Because, people change. Their opinions change. Their decisions change. So, unless that article was written in the last 2 months, there's more than a possibility that the situation has changed. By the way, I agree with Ralph, talk of selling the team when the owner has clearly stated that he has no intention of selling the team and as long as he's alive he'll be the owner aand keep the team in Buffalo, is distasteful. And if Kelly does have the notion to buy the team, he needs to respect Ralph's wishes and just shut up about it. Now, has Ralph run the team badly during the last decade? Yes and No. He and the FO have made some poor decisions, but I wouldn't say its from lack of trying. But, it's not as black and white as many suggest. There have been some good moves over the years, just not enough to negate the bad. And, yes, someone like Reese could be great.. but weren't a lot of people sayign the same thing about Donahoe? My point being, just because you or any one is convinced that's what this franchise needs, there's no guarantee that it's going to work.
  3. Well thanks for wasting 20 minutes of my life. I tried that and got a lotta natta, well unless you count the several TSW references. Oh well, my fault for being bored and trying to avoid doing what I really should be doing today. So where is this recent text of Ralph's Will that says he cares nothing about Buffalo and will put the team up for auction? Also, can you please provide some proof that the league will actually allow the team to be sold to the highest bidder? While you're at it, provide some evidence that I or anyone else has said that "Ralph Wilson has made arrangements after his death to keep the team in western NY out of the generosity of his spirit". Myself, and a few others, have suggested that there are far better ways to estate plan than to die and sell off all your assets in an auction. Perhaps that is Ralph's plan. However, I'm of the opinion that Ralph has a little more intelligence than that. I'm not suggesting that he has solid plans to keep the team in Buffalo, mind you. I'm simply suggesting that it's logical to assume he's made provisions for the teaam after his passing and he's decided not to tell the world of those plans. But, what you fail to realize is that the absolute only way for the Bills to absolutely stay in Buffalo is for Ralph Wilson to stay alive and continue to own the team. Once the team changes hands, regardless of who buys them... all bets are off. Unless, of course, the new owner promises to keep the team here and is as true to his word as Ralph has been regardless of the financial situation. But keep in mind, any new owner will suddenly be 100's of millions of dollars in debt and that can change a lot of priorities real fast.
  4. Agreed. The single best move this country could make, and perhaps the only way to actually change anyting, would be to have term limits on Congress peoples. Lobbyists and other Special Interest groups spend an incredible amount of time and money buying these legislators for a reason. The President is largely irrelevant in the discussion of the real problems in this country. Who's had more influence on this Health Care Bill, Obama or Pelosi?
  5. Somehow, I don't believe you. I'm not sure why? Maybe its the fact that every post you make disparages the man. There's one thing you're forgetting. You assume Ralph made a Will however long ago and that's it.. now he's waiting to die. Don't you think he could have changed his Will several times over? Do you really think someone that has made as much money as Ralph has is just going to let the chips fall where they may after his passing? Selling your assets to the highest bidder is a lousy plan.. lousy. I would be absolutely shocked if that actually happens upon Ralph's passing. But, by all means, continue with your diatribe. It never gets old.
  6. Just watched the end of the game on NFL Network. Shoeless Rob completed a 2nd down pass to Price, who goes out of bounds with 20 seconds left (hell of a play all the way around!). Then we kick the FG. My first thought was exactly what you said... what coach kicks that with 20 seconds still on the clock? Now the thing they never showed was whether or not Price got the first down. It looked to me like he did (but then again that lateral looked forward to me too), but it was hard to tell with everyone on the sideline and they never displayed the down and distance on the FG try. So, if it was 3rd and short, I can see going for the FG because if you do a QB sneak and don't get the first down, you have no time to get the FG off on 4th down. However, if it was a first down, then Wade blew it horribly. I'd say either way he blew it, because if it was 3rd down, he should have asked for a measurement because it had to be close. That would have bought some time to at least think about things. I understand all that. And its all well and good. However, there's a reason that was the first and only time that a season long starter, whom was healthy, was benched the week before a playoff game. Regardless of how we got to 10-5, we got there. And if it ain't broke, you don't fix it. As it turns out, Rob played well enough to win that game. However, I still say you don't disrupt the team chemistry that got you there. Could Flutie have scored more than 16 pts? Who really knows? I guess it's fun to speculate and debate (for some). However, I didn't like the move then and I don't like it to this day. Not because of Rob or Flutie's play, but because of what it meant for our team.
  7. Maybe Marv did tell him that. However, Marv was blowing smoke like everyone does before the draft or he was overruled in the draft room?
  8. I kinda like crayonzes's questions.
  9. Agreed. I said it before and after that game.. . the winner of that game goes to the Super Bowl. The Titans and Bills were the two toughest AFC teams that year. We both had better defenses than the other AFC playoff teams. About the game, well it's like I've said since then... being a Bills fan ain't for the faint of heart.
  10. I kinda like it. They should have audio problems more often.
  11. Are they having technical problems? Or did they just realize no one wanted to hear Matt Millen blow air?
  12. Can someone just explain how we got a player injured on the Bye week? I'm fairly certain this is a new low in Bills' futility.
  13. I thought we'd have 2 injuries over the bye week. So, I look at it as surviving the bye week pretty healthy if only one player got injured while sleeping on his couch.
  14. Yep. I agree. I heard they only last about 7 or 8 years too. They're kind of expensive to replace though... about $170.
  15. We lurk in the shadows, waiting for the day when our sanity shall rise again!
  16. The problem with threads like this (player A is better, we should have drafted him over our guy) is you're neglecting the primary factor influencing the player's success. Maybin plays for the Bills. Orakpo plays for someone else. There should be absolutely no reason to think that if Orakpo was drafted by the Bills that he'd have 5.5 sacks right now. The Bills have been putting players in positions to fail for nearly a decade. Does anyone really think TO forgot how to run a route this year? Or is it more likely that his production has completely fallen off the cliff because he's playing in Buffalo's offense? Gandy was one of the worst LTs ever, until he went to Arizona and became good enough to start in a Super Bowl. And so on... So, until we get a coaching staff that actually knows how to coach and prepare players to compete in this league, all of these comparisons are grossly flawed.
  17. I can easily see that and think it's the most realistic scenario. However, if Jauron is responsible for drafting all the DBs, that may indicate the HC has considerable input in which players come and go. If so, it's reasonable to assume that new HC may have the same input. So, my question is, if a new HC comes in and he shifts the focus to building the lines (as opposed to the secondary) would that be enough?
  18. Never said he was good or bad... just said he's better than Trent.
  19. I assure you, a Bills Message Board is the only place that anyone might even consider Trent better than Cutler.
  20. Well played, sir.
  21. Yep. It's gotta be the hormones. Because no way chicks looked that good when I was 13-16. No way!
  22. Perhaps you're asking the wrong question. Because the Chroisen One can not fail. I ask you... who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew. Cover it with chocolate and a miracle or two. The Chroisen One can. Who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream; separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream. The Chroisen One. The Chroisen One can.
  23. Loved that article. So, basically, I can't eat anything: Canned tomatoes Beef Microwave Popcorn Potatoes Farm raised fish Milk Apples They could have shortened the whole thing and just said the Aamerican food industry is ed. Unless you live on a farm and grow/raise all your own food; you're gonna get cancer and die.
  24. Otherwise known as the "bend and pray" defense.
