Actually not. I'm merely pointing out the fact that Ralph and Russ are in the process of looking for a "real" GM (or DFO) to over haul the team. This is something that quite a few posters here have insisted (1) that's it's the most important thing the franchise needs to do, and (2) Ralph will never do it or doesn't want to do it or some other negative minded connotation. Well, we now have some evidence that a search for a GM will be (or is) underway. So, I think all the people claiming Ralph will never do what it takes to win, need to ratchet the rhetoric down a notch or two. At least until we see who is hired. Then, we can all complain about the selection and how cheap a move it was. But, for the time being, there's is hope in Bills' Land. The team has contacted every big name HC on the list; they're looking to hire a real GM; they're claiming a complete overhaul is coming. Who knows where it will all end up, but for now at least Ralph seems to be making good on his words to improve the team.

Chris Henry in serious condition after car accident* (updated)
Dan replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They just reported that he died on CNN. Damn. -
I'm sorry but I think your analogy is inaccurate. My low pay is one of the primary reasons my job sucks. So, a raise addresses some of my dissatisfaction. On a plan, however, the number one complaint of the majority of passengers is being cramped into tight, uncomfortable seats. So, yes, it's nice that they can improve the air circulation, but it does little to make my flight more comfortable. And, the "if you don't like it, don't fly" response doesn't work so well when you fly for business and have little choice. For me, personally, it could be decades before I ever see this plane. Most of my travels are within the US to small citites and I'm stuck on CRJs and 757's (the most uncomfortable plane of them all). I agree, it's nice to see improvements. I can appreciate that. My beef, however, is I don't see those improvements addressing the primary problem with air travel. Maybe the airlines will give up a row of seats to make them more comfortable; I'll hold my breath.

Tremors.

So all the concerns and worries that the Bills wouldn't hire a real GM can be set aside. They apparently will begin interviews after Christmas, according to linky. Apparently Ralph isn't as senile as many have insisted and really does intend to overhaul the team. Let the discussions begin has to who the new GM should be (assuming Shannahan doesn't come).

What good are all these improvements though, if you still cram too many people in too small a space, and give them some horribly uncomfortable seats to boot? It's kinda like developing Super HD TV, but making us all watch it on a 12inch tv. What's the point? So, until some of that fuel efficiency tanslates to cheaper tickets or the interior improvements translates to more comfortable seeting arrangements, it's all talk, IMO.

Why don't they just give you enough room to acutally breath and stretch out a little. It's not the air that's cutting the circulation in my legs that can't move an inch or the crink in my neck because the back seat is horrible uncomfortable, all while I'm packed into some seat and can't even move my arms pasts my shoulder width for 3-4 hours. Yeah probably too some friggin genious years to realize better air circulation is what we need on a plane.

Yes. What's more important.. .the Bills winning games? Or your fantasy players having nice stats, along with a few highlights on ESPN? I think you have your priorities all wrong if you want low scoring, ugly wins over better FF numbers.

Byrd's pics are great....but, I still have to find something to about because I can't allow one moment of pleasure into my life.

The guy's instincts are to catch the ball every time he's near it, and you want him to start knocking it down instead of catching it? Because he might fumble it after he catches it? It really is true... Jauron's ultra conservative football has completely infected this franchise, including the fan base.
-
Why? Just pick it up and carry it. Reminds me of some employees I had last summer, asked me how they lift manholes to check inside the basin. "Easy... you pick it up. What's the friggin problem?" He looked at me like I had 3 heads. Needless to say he didn't last long.
-
I fully expect 3 TDs this week. Why? Because I had Brady and Moss on my fantasy team. First week of the playoffs - and they both crap out. I lose by 9 points. Friggin b s! Moss gets me NEGATIVE 0.4 friggin points! So, yeah this week, now that I'm eliminated... the tards will put up 3 or 4 touchdowns and have their best friggin week ever. I hate fantasy football.

Like shooting fish in a barrel. Good job dog.

Nice overall writeup, as usual. To be fair, on the interception in the end zone, I think Lee Evans was the only receiver running a route. IMO, his mistake was throwing a weak pass. He needed to throw it high and to the back of the end zone, so that wither Lee can jump and get it or it goes over everyone's head. Or just throw it away, because the Chiefs definitely snuffed the play out. Also, I'd like to give Fitzy some credit for the best play he made all day - that I haven't seen mentioned yet. His block on the 47 yard Lynch run. Wow, Lynch was getting to the edge with one guy to beat, Fitzy comes out of nowhere and takes out the guys legs which gave Lynch the sideline. It was a great effort and great block! Moorman's 73 yard punt. Really not much more to say.

I feel an upset coming on Sunday vs Pats.

Someone needs to remind Poz that he owes the Pats* a couple of broken bones; set his hair on fire and let him go. -
Do people still think Desean Jackson is "too small"?
Dan replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This board is turning into a bunch of pissy old second guessers and naysayers. Do we really have to play the "what if" game everytime some player has a good game? -
Can we stop calling for Lynch to be traded now?
Dan replied to BillsfaninFl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Lynch needs a RBs coach in the worst way. He dances when he needs to just run. He's a damn good RB; he just needs to stop trying to outjuke everyone especially when they're still 5 yards away from him. -
Interesting report about resting starters for playoffs
Dan replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If any team should be aware of the dangers of taking a month off before the playoffs, it should be the Colts. It'll be a complete waste of a great season if they start slacking off now, just to lose their first playoff came because they look like they're still sleeping. IMO, keep the starters playing. The only way I sit them is if they walk into a buzzsaw of a game. -
Because you can very easily drop a square one in the manhole. Round lids are extremely difficult to accidentally drop into the hole. I would say impossible, but I know someone that did it last year. No idea how, but they sure enough did.

Seriously, I always try to lighten the mood with a little humor first, but then I'd immediately follow that with a more serious reply. Half the interview is just seeing if you like this person and want to work with them. The other half is can they actually do the job. I've interviewed some people that had the personality of rocks, and its hard to hire them if you don't think they'll fit in. As far as the real answers.. that's alot of math. I try not to do math. It's hard

My answer: Well, I like where you're going with my monthly salary range, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. What's your benefits package like?

Bills likely to end KC's 19-year sellout streak
Dan replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not as concerned with the first choice as I am the last choice. -
I'd tell them: I don't really care. I'll be working. (Could substitue "working" for something more specific to the job at hand.)

And I thought I was the only person in the country to NOT put their tree up the day after Thanksgiving. I'm going to get mine this afternoon and we'll decorate tomorrow. Lights will go up on the house tomorrow as well (if weatherr permits).

Anyone watching this mess? What happened to the Steelers? They look like the Bills out there - can't tackle, Big Ben has been sacked 5 times already, just poor football all around.
