  1. What's your point? We have a good starting RB, so let's draft another one? Your point is exactly why so many of us are upset. We have Freddie who's a very capable RB. We have Lynch who's a very capable RB. We don't need another RB. We need a LT, a DT, a QB. So, why pick someone at one of the few positions we actually have a little depth? Then you see the Bills say they like him in this Bush/gadget roll? Come on man.
  2. Too late. I've tried to be patient in my disgust for the "direction" this team has taken this offseason. But, now I'm cetain, Nix et al., have no clue what this team needs to contend. They've underwhelmed with every decision they've made this offseason. And no matter, how much potential this kid may have, how can he ever realize it playing on a team that refuses to fix their problems? Maybe they'll pull some rabbits out of their hats with the later rounds. But, absolutely nothing has been shown to prove that they might.
  3. So on a team with plenty of holes, you think it's ok to draft a guy that's playing behind established starters and running behind a line that still can't open any holes?
  4. That's what I've been thinking. Tonight is the night we find out what this new regime is made of. They made the underwhelming selection for a coaching staff. They've made underwhelming FA acquisitions. So, now my question is do they have a plan for getting this team better or are they just going to take random "good" players in hopes to generate some buzz. If they take a RB or WR at #9, then we'll know everything we need to know.
  5. Let's assume, he does know who is going to pick him. Would he really choose to stay at home and shoot hoops if he knew for certaain he was going to be a 1st round pick?
  6. No idea what he meant. That's kinda how I took it, though... a team that was kinda quietly trying to trade up that people wouldn't expect. Given everyone seems to be talking about the potential for the Bills to trade up and given NGU's info; I'm thinking it's not the Bills. But, maybe the Pats* as was suggested by drg2021?
  7. True. And the Pats* have 10 picks this year to manuever with. Should be interesting, to say the least.
  8. Mayock just said there's a "ghost" team that really wants Tebow. Don't be surprised to see him go before Clausen, if Clausen falls out of the top 10. All this speculation, kinda goes against NGU's insight, however. Should be interesting.
  9. That's exactly wat they're suggesting... the Bills have done alot of homework, review and scouting on Tebow, don't be surprised if they move back up o take him. Not sure I like it at all. But, there's alot of Buffalo talk right now on NFLN about them moving up to get a QB.
  10. Just stated on NFL Network: (talking about Clausen slipping) From a very reliable source in Buffalo, Buffalo will not leave tonight without a QB. And they will not take one at #9. The discussion was how far will Clausen fall if he's not picked in the top 10. Casserly said he see's a late 1st round run. Lombardi then agreed and and gave the above tidbit, and suggested that the late 1st round run would probably be 2nd rounders trading up.
  11. I think they lost because they have a 5 pass rule. Why don't they go down and shoot the darn puck at the net?
  12. I would suggest that if they're intolerant or waging war, then they're not followers. But, rather, bitter people that are good at manipulating others and using Islam and Christianity as tools to control others.
  13. Get a proven QB like Big Ben and there's a chance, albeit slim chance, that we could win at least 8 games next season. With our current group of QBs or a draft pick, there's an infinitesimal chance that we have a winning season. So, I'm not saying I'd be excited; but I'd at least think there's was a chance of having an average year. Of course, with our coaching staff, I see no reason to believe that we'll have a winning season anytime soon regardless of who they bring in. So, the only way I'll be excited is when Chan actually proves he can simultaneously be a HC and OC (something not many HC's have been able to do) and be worthy of his hire when no one for 10yrs has thought him competent.
  14. I'll be sending good thoughts and prayers in your direction. News like this is never good. But, I'll pray you get through this difficult time as well as possible.
  15. If that draft class was the key to the Superbowl run... it took 5 years to pan out. Do we have that kind of patience? Now a days a guy is considered a bust if he's not tearing it up in training camp.
  16. You're neglecting rule #1: Interpret reports/news in any way you want such that it fits your preconceived ideas/agenda. Case in point: Nix says he expects Lynch to be here. But, I don't like Lynch because he's a thug; therefore, Nix obviously wants to trade him and is just creating a predraft smoke screen. Case in point: Schobel says he's considering retirement, but there's no word from him or the Bills. But, I don't like Schobel because I'm an unknowledgable fan; therefore, Schobel is holding the team hostage (ala Favre) and now I have more reason to not like him.
  17. Well I did make a post on the PPP board earlier today, so I'm clearly toying with suicidal thoughts.
  18. Took a stick to the knee.
  19. OK, I have a delimma. I like hockey and the Sabres, but rarely get to see regular season games. So, I hear all year how good the Sabres are looking. Then the playoffs come and I finally get to see them play. Then they lay eggs like they did today. So, clearly, I know I'm a jinx. OK. So, I'll stop watching. They'll win. But, what good is it wanting the Sabres to win, if I can never watch them win?
  20. Excellent point. If the team knows his intentions, either way, why would they want to announce it? Keep everyone in the dark going into the draft. Now, not that I think it matters. I'd be even more depressed about this team if it came out that their draft strategy depended upon whether or not Schobel was returning.
  21. Just have to ask... if there's such a big liberal media bias, why is there so much contention between the White House and the media? I don't get it.
  22. I think a more accurate statement would be... "The Internet is making pundits/commentators on any level obsolete". The internet is putting print news out of business, IMO, because people can get all the same information in Newspapers for free. Hence, subscriptions drop, papers lose money, they go out of business. We all get information from a variety of sources - national, local, blog, message board rumor, etc. and quickly draw our own conclusions. So, when a national or local paper writes a commentary, most readers are already 2 steps ahead. But, quite honestly, what happens if all the local and national print media go out of business? Where do we all get this "information" that we spout so readily on boards like this?
  23. That's much more inline with what I was hoping/thinking the iPad would look like. However, unless I'm mistaken, that's still a concept device. Hence there's no telling what the actual production version will look like/be capable of. . If the iPad had that functionality, I would have bought one.
  24. Biggest thing I would have liked to see was really good handwriting recognition software. If you could use it, essentially like a legal pad, then have it convert the text/notes and automatically sync to your laptop/desktop or email/text the notes; it could revolutionize meetings. IMO, using a keyboard (virtual or real) is a real clunky way to take notes. Especially when you look at the size, it seems fairly uncomfortable to hold and type. (although maybe there's an app that can so this?) So, while I think there's tons of potential, I'd say this first version is well short of what it wold take for me to add another piece of hardware to my arsenal.
  25. I would agree completely (hence my earlier post here). If it's a fairly innocuous "malware" type thing that just slows your computer down with popups and the like; that's one thing. I always try the malwarebytes type programs. Afterall what's the harm if you don't really get rid of it all? But, if it's a virus that's corrupting and taking over .exe applications, then you're half a step away from your entire system being fried and losing your files. And, these types of virii are far better at hiding in your system - often I've found them hidden in the system restore files. So, I'm less inclined to take a chance with a simple virus sweep. Use Firefox with WOT addon (thanks Dean) and install a good, free antivirus protection... and watch the torrent/limewire downloads.
