I hope this comment was half joking. Because its demeaning to talk to women that way. As for the original apology, it shows character. There is mis/disinformation posted on here daily. Might be the first time Ive seen someone offer a genuine apology.

I Like Doug, but did he pay attention during English class?

Are you serious? -
This most definately is not the same old bills

Oh, no way I was happy about Gailey either. But I wouldnt have been happy with another retread this year either. Did not want Lovie at all. Marrones path is similar to Harbaughs turning a program around and the type of leader who has charisma. Im hoping that translates to the nfl. But cant disagree with your point about remnants of the failed organization in the past sticking around. I just wonder how much Ralph did or did not influence Brandon before this year. If Brandon was Ralphs "yes" man and brandon wanted to run things differently, it appears he has started to this year. There is always reasonable logic to be skeptical about this organization based on the last decade plus. But my offseason optimism is almost like a highly developed coping strategy. Although, Im pretty sure denial is the lowest form of coping. -

How does this team still look the same? Their are 3 changes that can happen in the NFL that would be considered the biggest changes you can make :GM, Coach, QB. All have been changed. We've also added a legit NFL defensive coordinator, seriously solidified the lack of talent at WR, oh, and Ralph stepped down and Russ is now in charge carte blanch. I dont think I have ever seen an optimistic post under your name. Time to get positive and get with the program. Be disappointed if this doesnt work out, but for now, enjoy it. -
Interesting insight. As much as I hated Dan Marino (because the rivalry was so strong back then) I have to admire the guy. He had an amazing arm and the quickest release. So many times I can remember that I thought we had him for a sack and hed release the ball with a quickness I dont think Ive ever seen again. His deep balls were fun to watch. He didnt lob a bomb. He threw lazers The lack of championships is the only thing holding him back in my opinion. There was nothing great about Joe Montanas game in my opinion except for the fact that the guy was a winner. Plain and simple, Montana was a winner. And I would take a winner any day over a guy who possibly the most accurate arm in the history of the nfl As SJB pointed out, sounds like there is more to the Marino story then what meets the eye.

The guy clearly thinks very highly of himself and what he should be making from statements he has made in the past. As much as I would love to have his talent on the team, I wouldnt want a guy who didnt want to be in Buffalo. He didnt really seem like the type that would embrace his role here. He probably could have gotten a 3-4 year contract here. Instead he signed a 1 year contract in AZ. He doesnt care. At this point hes a mercenary in it for the biggest paycheck.

I understand why the Bills dont get much national press. We've sucked for 13 years, and every time the Bills start to look good, they suck again. But with that said, the NFL network did a piece on rookie qbs and they skipped over EJ right to Geno, then to Barkley, then changed directions and started talking about Andrew Luck. Not for nothing, but you'd think they would include the first qb picked in the draft in the segment. The media hates the Bills. They make fun of the Bills constantly on the NFL network. Only way to shake that is for the Bills to go out and earn some respect.

I highly doubt the guy can be any worse than Sheppard. Keith Ellison is the #1, 2, and 3 worst all time starting linebacker for the Bills but Shepp could be 4. -
Everybody seems to be saying its not a big deal that he wants to be here, because other qbs have wanted to be here in the past and look how that turned out. But look at the flip side of the coin. If EJ did not want to be here, and had a bad attitude about Buffalo, his chances of success would be slim to none. Attitude has a huge impact on everything in life. I am so happy we didnt draft Geno Smith. That guys has some serious emotional baggage. He seems like a very sensitive, and defensive guy. On top of the fact that there is alot of speculation out there that the reason he dropped so far is because when coaches interviewed him he acted like a know it all and gave the impression that he feels like he is so good he had nothing to learn. That is going to be a mess in New Jersey. I think the stars are aligning in Buffalo. The fact that Bruce is EJ's godfather and he is happy to be here makes me feel good. We finally have some NFL caliber talent at WR and we have a defensive coordinator who actually knows how to create a modern scheme. Something feels different about this year. I dont see this team going to the Superbowl or the playoffs this year, but I think they will develop and identity and be fun to watch. Lots of young talent that have all the tools to be great players if the coaches can reach them and teach them. Big things baby. Big things coming.

Yeah, I feel like it would make the game almost clinical in a sense.

It was a nice chunk of change and worth the embarrassment. But its a funny story I break out now and then. Not too proud to make fun of myself when I deserve it. -
I agree.. Good post.

I can see the Bills cutting Easely if he doesnt perform in camp. As far as trading receivers, I think the Bills drafted all of these guys on purpose. Marrone plans on running more plays per game, and with all of the speedsters on our team now we can rotate in fresh legs while running deep patterns, and tire out the CBs on the opposition. These nfl corners are in peak physical performance but try keeping up with tj graham at top speed 40-50 yards down the field 2 plays in a row, then goodwin comes in fresh and runs top speed 2 plays in a row 40-50 yards down field. At that high speed, I dont care who you are, sprinting as fast as you can 40-50 yards down the field 4 plays in a row will cause some fatigue. If we get the matchup against the same corner each time, they guy will be sucking wind and will not be able to keep up. Thats just one scenario. But keeping fresh legs in throughout the game will have an advantage in itself.

I was a sales rep in Boston for the top sales division for a fortune 100 company based out of Rochester. You can probably guess what company it was. I have a 4 year degree. I was probably 27 at the time - this was a 4 years ago.. I had a meeting to sell HR software to a top law firm in Boston. I literally said, "for all intensive purposes" and the group I was presenting to started laughing. One of the ladies asked me to repeat the statement. I said, "for all intensive purposes". They obviously got a huge laugh out of it, I was completely embarrassed but somehow I still closed the deal. I immediately called a friend to make fun of myself for being an idiot. -
