Colt McCoy To Be Released Soon
Leelee Phoenix replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because he's not an NFL QB. This would be the equivalent of bringing up Thigpen to waste a backup slot. -
I think Losman was dumped at the right time. They needed to give him a fair shot. Starting Trent in 2010 was foolishness, but that's to be expected when you hire Chan Gailey with his history of QB decisions. And you can probably blame Gailey for thinking Thigpen was worthy of anything beyond Arena League 2. The Fitz contract was a mistake. Extending him was understandable, but the timing was simply a bad move.

It's time to get THEIR guy, no matter what
Leelee Phoenix replied to SBUffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, this article is just saying: "The Bills should do what they want." Thanks. I hope you get paid for such filler. -
Chris Brown is not always smart
Leelee Phoenix replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree that Brown seems to be less connected with the Bills, but he's still a PR guy for them. They deserve more. It's really sad comparing WGR to other sports stations. -

That's the best plan. -
My theory on the draft and 2013 season
Leelee Phoenix replied to Harryhood280's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Except last year. Bridgewater is a stud. He has everything. We all know about Johnny Football, and if he'll translate to the NFL well. I'll bet he does. I'd like Murray too, even though he's kinda limited as a pocket passer without a great arm. -
Spare me. Yes, they know more than us because they have access to a lot more info, because of their job. The concept that many people have about sports professionals being these genius experts is so off-base that you have no idea. The main reason these guys get jobs is by making tons of connections, and hoping you kiss the right butt along the way.

Buffalo Bills. The Cinderella Story
Leelee Phoenix replied to brenty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was a load of meaningless fluff. I expect better from NFL.com. Really? Odds are quite high they won't be better. -
Not only has Nix been a failure as a GM, he's become a joke around the league. He did come into a bad situation, but he's unquestionably made too many mistakes. I hate to parrot Jerry Sullivan, but how in the heck do these Buffalo GMs still have their jobs this year after coaches being fired. It makes no sense.

My theory on the draft and 2013 season
Leelee Phoenix replied to Harryhood280's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I generally agree with the OP. Common people don't fully understand how bad this QB class is. The only reason mocks have QBs so high is because of previous drafts, and Dear Leader Goodell turning the league into pitch and catch. But, there's no sure thing at any position at 8 this year. There's many promising talents, but no "blue chippers". Buddy Nix locked the Bills into needing to draft a QB this draft. HIs handling of the QB situation warrants immediate dismissal. Even desperate Bills homers who only go to games as an excuse to get drunk during early hours will be hard to buy into Tarvaris Jackson, Aaron Corp and some backup FA. -
Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
Leelee Phoenix replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Teams don't listen to the hype, whatsoever. They laugh at these pundits. These comparisons are silly. And it's Bucky Brooks, who knows as much as your common message board poster. -
He's not an NFL player. I dread when Kelly's jerk nephew is eligible for the league in a few years.
-
Nix came into a rough position in 2010. The awful coach hired forced a 3-4 defense on him that was completely unwarranted, and he had a horrible draft because of it. But, the QB woes fall on Nix, and he has to go. He forced himself into the awful position where the Bills must take a QB in this draft that is weak at the position. No foresight. The team is worse off than when he started.

Fred Davis FA TE has dinner with Bills brass
Leelee Phoenix replied to Scott_36's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, never question anyone on an NFL team? Got it. -
Buffalo Bills huge competitive advantage is ....
Leelee Phoenix replied to Trader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is this a competitive advantage? And it doesn't exist anyway because UDFA's get to choose where they want to play. Nobody's 1st choice is the Bills. -
Could we play Balitmore Thursday night season opener?
Leelee Phoenix replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NBC paid lots of money to the NFL to show quality football that gets ratings. The Bills are the antithesis of that. Please stop. -
Stevie wants DHB (Update - goes to Colts)
Leelee Phoenix replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
DHB would be buried on the depth chart with NO. He's a hard worker with great athletic ability, but he just can't catch. He is better than Meachem, which is saying absolutely nothing. You don't want DHB, Bills homers. He will infuriate you. -
Fred Davis FA TE has dinner with Bills brass
Leelee Phoenix replied to Scott_36's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF Davis is healthy, he'd be a much needed great receivers. But, torn Achilles' are horrible injuries to recover from. Had one myself. You're never the same afterward. -
Just some speculations, rumors and predictions.....

Good luck finding any team that wants to trade up. -
Need vs best player available?
Leelee Phoenix replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Need, first. If you don't have a great QB, you do everything possible to get one. I hope the Bills spend two picks on QBs this draft. Then, BPA. -
Urlacher would be a downgrade, especially in a 3-4. Who would Harrison and Urlacher "mentor"? Guys like Sheppard and Bradham that you just benched for washed up old guys? This isn't Madden.
-
Unless the Bills strike gold with the QB they draft, you can't realistically this team is better or even the same level as last year's. And they sucked last year. At least with Marrone there's hope because he's a complete unknown at this level. Better than when I hated Gailey from day 1, and knew he'd fail. So, there's something.

Could we play Balitmore Thursday night season opener?
Leelee Phoenix replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Geno Smith won't change anything. The opponent will very likely be Denver, possibly Pittsburgh.
