Character and class rise to the occasion in situations like this. Booger, Salters, SVP, and Ryan Clark were fantastic. They were empathetic and vulnerable. The other end of the spectrum were Mike Harrington and Skip Bayless.

He’s Diggs 2.0. He’s a ridiculous route runnner with outstanding hands. He just gets open. He may be a slot guy at the next level, especially early, but so what. That’s what Diggs was too. We just added our a slot guy out of retirement. If the Bills want to use him, like they did Beasley. Earlier in his career, so be it. That is a big need. JSN is more explosive than he gets credit for. The Bills need a WR that they can count on. They have some guys that can go crazy (like Davis and McKenzie). JSN would add some stability. He’d be a star for the Bills IMO.
-
Correct The conversation is about the reasons to draft a WR in the 1st. It isn’t about Davis.

The 5th year option is an interesting element that I hadn’t considered. With the rising cost of star receivers it is a good idea.

I think that OL & WR will be the 1st 2 picks in whichever order. I’d be REALLY surprised if they added another defensive player early. They have to invest around Allen at this point. Personally, I think that the medicals this year was just a way to protect himself. I know that the OSU fans have been annoyed but I don’t blame him. I believe that he can, and will, play in and out in the NFL (like Diggs). Without the injury there is no way that JSN would have fallen to 30 (or whatever). He’s going to be a great pro, day 1, imo.

What if they moved up last year for Garrett Wilson instead of taking Elam (who still may be good)? If they did that the Bills would have the 1 seed locked up and may be undefeated. It is about the PLAYER not the position. If the Bills selected Mike Evans instead of Watkins you wouldn’t feel that way.

Can we add JSN to the list? Last year, he was the best of the Buckeyes WRs and that includes Olave & Garrett Wilson. He actually reminds me a little of Diggs. He can win anywhere & would be the OROY in the Bills offense.

No one said that one was okay and one bad. Both of these situations warrant STRONG consideration from the player and his family. 6 concussions is a big number. If he steps away he greatly limits the risk of future concussions. It is absolutely something that he and his family will be thinking about this off season. That holds especially true if the Bills win the Super Bowl.
-
Maybe he won’t hang them up. This is such a “Bills-centric” lens to look through though. If he played for the Carolina Panthers, made $50M, and had 2 kids under 6 (or whatever) we would certainly think retirement was the bet option. He can do whatever he wants this off-season and NO ONE should fault or judge him for whatever he decides. 6 documented concussions means there are who knows how many others. I have a close friend that was a LB for 7 seasons (primarily for the Pats in the mid-2000’s-2010’s) and had maybe 2 documented. He’s POSITIVE that he had at least 14 others. He was primarily a ST guy/backup LB. He was like a Dodson or Matakevich type. He never wanted to vocalize them for fear of losing his job. This held especially true after he became a 7-figure vet. They easily could have drafted a cheaper, late round guy, to replace him.
-
He’s had 6 now I think. He has made $50M and has 2 little kids. Morse has had a fantastic year but you can’t fault him if he hangs them up.
-
Tua should call it a career. He seems like a really nice guy. He has his whole life ahead of him and it isn’t worth it. I feel the same way about Mitch Morse at this point.

3 way tie for conference lead possibility

Actually, the Bills would end up 3 in this scenario. They’d fall a game behind KC and a tiebreaker behind Cincy. -

I kind of look at this game as a playoff game. If the Bills lose this week they will likely have to play in Cincy and Arrowhead to get to the Super Bowl. I don’t like those odds. If they win here, a bye is likely and the road to Arizona goes through OP in January!! -
Treatment of opposing team fans(your experience)
Kirby Jackson replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have a decent, but incomplete, sample size (Buffalo, New England, Miami, Cleveland, Carolina, New Orleans, Atlanta, LA Rams, Detroit, Houston, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Dallas). We are (by far) the worst that I’ve ever seen. Cleveland is 2 for me. Miami can be pretty brutal, especially when they are good. Detroit was surprisingly prickly and I expect the same from the Bengals fans next week. The weird places to me are the places that the fans don’t really care about their team (Atlanta, Rams, Houston, Jags, Titans and kinda Carolina). That is hard for me to wrap my head around. They were so indifferent. When the Bills lose, I hurt for days. -
Josh Allen doesn’t like Domed stadium supports open air

I still wish that we were getting a dome. It’s a mistake IMO. I’m out there every week 4 hours before kickoff freezing my butt off. We have heaters at the tailgate and I sit under the heaters in 237. That’s about as insulated as you can be from the weather and it sucks. -
NFL Week #15 - Fish at Buffalo - Post Game Thread
Kirby Jackson replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol, sorry buddy. You’ve got the wrong guy. Fans ALWAYS make excuses. That happens for every team. I’ve never seen this percentage of fans making excuses. Usually I’d say that it is 75% excuses after a loss. Miami fans are over 90% from my unscientific estimation. -

Oh, we are BRUTAL. This is beyond us. Usually you see a mix of excuses and “the better team one.” The fins fans, universally, believe that they were robbed by the refs. -

I’ve NEVER seen a whinier fan base following a loss. The takeaway from them was “the refs.” -

That’s exactly right. I sit in 10 so I’m high enough up but 7 (and even 8) can occasionally get some precipitation if the wind is blowing. Generally you’re safe there though. The snow is obviously better than the rain.

7 is literally the row where you “should” be undercover. The heaters take the chill off but it isn’t warm. Last week I went to a hoodie and base layer.
