I agree with the top part. I’m simply suggesting that it isn’t a guarantee that the playoff defense improves. I’m hopeful and believe that change was needed. I don’t think that they draft defense. There has been too much focus on the neglect on offense. Kelvin Benjamin is the only offensive player drafted in round 1 that Allen has played with 😂😂. That changes this year. It will either be an OL or WR imo. TE is a sleeper.

I think his point is that “it can certainly be worse.” I don’t think that anyone is saying that Frazier’s defense is perfect. You’d have to be insane though to think that whoever takes over will definitely be an improvement. The Bills defense has been near the top of the league since he got here. It certainly struggled at times but it can ABSOLUTELY be worse with someone else calling the shots. I go back and forth with this. The grass may be greener. It may not.

I honestly believe that Frazier made the decision to take the year off (although I doubt he ever returns). If it were up to the Bills they would have let him go when they could have chased people like Fangio. Additioinally, the Bills would have done it early so that he would have had a chance to get a DC job elsewhere. There is plenty of respect there. It doesn’t make ANY sense for the Bills to make this decision now. I wish Frazier would have done it sooner. Dorsey and McDermott are both in the crosshairs. In terms of players, I could see Hyde taking some heat if the pass d struggles with no Poyer. Everyone will be claiming that Poyer elevated him. The same goes for Milano if there is no Edmunds. Oliver is now getting paid which automatically makes all Bills fans like him less 😂. Anyone on the OL, Cook and WRs not named Diggs are all candidates to have our collective fingers pointed at them.

If that’s the case we are failing in the draft. If you’re using prime draft assets on Boogie Basham, AJ Epenesa, Cody Ford, etc… that’s a problem. You need your prime assets to get difference makers not rotational players.

It HAS to be offense imo. Kelvin Benjamin is the only 1st round selection that Josh Allen has played with. That’s ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. I don’t really care if they go WR or OL. I lean WR because it is more impactful but both are desperate areas. They need to draft a minimum of 3 players from those 2 position groups. I think that I’m okay with Bijan Robinson if there are no OL or WRs left that grade out in that range. He is one of the top few players in this draft and would represent an upgrade to the offense. Robinson and Cooks would be one of the best tandems in the league day 1. I don’t love the idea but love the player. If the WRs & OL are gone I’d rather Robinson than defense.

Obviously, at some point these teams will win titles. It may not be soon but math basically says that it is inevitable. I think that it is still the Bills but the Sabres will be contending within the next 3-5 years. I think a more interesting question would be Bills or Bengals first? I would have said Bills as off the start of 2022 but I don’t know now. I’d probably say that the Bengals are a little more likely.

Why get butthurt about a player wanting to get paid and be in nice weather? I’ve moved for more money and better weather before. No one criticized me. In fact, many complimented my decision to do what was best for my career. Poyer’s only obligation is to his family. His family lives in South Florida. If he has a chance to play for the Dolphins and get paid, it makes a lot of sense.

Lol, you don’t just dump top 10(ish) players in the NFL because you’re perception is that they aren’t happy!!! That’s RIDICULOUS. Yes, he signed a contract as have all players. I understand that teams can dump players whenever they want and I’m as “player-friendly” as pretty much any fan. The Bills obligation is to do what’s in the best interest of the team. There isn’t a scenario that the Bills benefit by getting rid of Diggs. If he comes to them and demands out, they can trade him for multiple picks (1&2 probably). There other option is to keep him. Ultimately it is up to the Bills and they aren’t in position to jettison there top players. I can’t believe that ANYONE thinks, “if Diggs doesn’t want to be here get rid of him.” That was a WEIRD conclusion to jump to. Passionate, team captain, has sideline outburst because he wants his team to win so badly. They should get rid of that guy…

Lol, at this WEIRD insecurity. This is a note to all of my fellow Bills fans. If you ever “want” to get rid of a player because you think that they want to be somewhere else, you’re sad. If Josh Allen said he wants to play in SF, my take is, “too bad.” Some people are like, “good, if he doesn’t want to be here we don’t want him.” 😂😂 That is THE lamest, most insecure, take in sports. Unfortunately, it is WAY more prevalent in Buffalo than in other markets. Our fan base is SO insecure. It’s kind of pathetic.

Feel free to close. I searched when I raised the thought of Payton because the reactions, at the time, were different than now. It was raised to see how much opinions change in 2 months. Bottom line, is this team underachieved and change is needed. The window is closing (not closed but closing). We missed our best chance at a Super Bowl because we were poorly coached.

Nerves are out of control!! Jam the Bengals receivers and run under everything. The back(s) and te(s) will need to help in pass pro. They’ll just become check down options. Attack and they won’t have time to make big plays. If that happens the Bills win the game. This is a big Ed Oliver game.

Lol, if you don’t think a city would hand the Bills multiple billions of dollars you don’t understand the world of the NFL (or sports in general). I don’t like to shout people down on here but what you just wrote isn’t true. With all of that being said, the Bills aren’t going anywhere. They never were. They were going to have a public-private partnership which is pretty standard. That’s the way the world works.

I really don’t know how to feel about this game. I’m kind of numb. My nerves and anxiety are out of control already. This has been a weird year for me. I honestly believe that this Bills team could have been one of the greatest teams ever. 17-0 was on the table imo. They haven’t played anywhere near their capability. There have been good 1/2’s and moments but we haven’t seen them play a whole game at the level that they’re capable of. I hope that we see that over the next 4 weeks. If we do, they’re not getting beat.

I don’t think so. If I asked you the 6 best AFC QBs (with an asterisk for Watson), you’d probably answer the 6 QBs in the playoffs. The same holds true (to a lesser extent) in the NFC. You’re just going to have to be right. If you extend a Derek Carr, Kyler Murray, Kirk Cousins or Dak Prescott, you need to get the best version of them. You’re much better off though, paying Kirk Cousins, than saving the money and trying to find someone comparable. Geno is the exception to this and he’s about to get paid.
