With the 16th pick the Washington Commanders select Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon. We were surprised to still see him on the board. With Jones and Wright off the board this choice became easier. @Beastand the Pittsburgh Steelers are on the clock.

Wr Overload and what really needs to get done
Kirby Jackson replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just to be clear, we don’t need to go “this position” or “that position.” It is 100% dependent on the players available at “this position” or “that position.” If, for example, JSN is somehow on the board, WR is very appealing. If, for example, Darnell Wright is on the board, OT is very appealing. The position is irrelevant. The player is what determines that. -
100% agree with this. Bijan is more Tomlinson to me as a runner.

I’ll take anyone but the Panthers (already had them).

Will the Bills make a draft selection in the first round?
Kirby Jackson replied to WickedGame's topic in The Stadium Wall
The cap isn’t real. Lol, I’ve been preaching that here for a decade. They can absolutely afford him if they want to. It’s a matter of whether or not it makes sense. They’d probably extend him instantly. They’d have a window with he and Diggs. Davis would likely be in his last year on the team. -
Will the Bills make a draft selection in the first round?

This draft just doesn’t have the high end talent of others. I don’t think that the Bills pick at 27. Beane LOVES to go up to get his guy. There is a lot of talk about going down but I think it’s just as likely that they go up. Ideally, I’d like to see them do something like 27 & 2024 4th for Hopkins and 34. -
Yes I switched to YTTV just over a year ago and it was a great decision.

Tua seems like a really nice guy. It’s a tough situation that he is in. He’s trying to stay around long enough to get that massive 2nd contract. Hopefully the concussion issues subside and he has a long, healthy life.

Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour
Kirby Jackson replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in Off the Wall
If it is true, it’s potentially a big story for the Bills. Obviously he can find another woman. He’s a rich, famous QB. That goes without saying. Josh and Brittany have been together their entire lives (more or less). They were friends as children and began dating in high school. She came to Buffalo with him and has been a stable part of his life. I’ve been in a couple of longer relationships that didn’t work out (5 years and 10 years). As much as it was the right thing to move on, it messes with your head for a LONG time. It is safe to assume that his mind will be elsewhere for the foreseeable future if this story is true. On a weird side note, if anyone is really curious to hear about Josh and Brittany’s history she was on a podcast with Stafford’s wife around opening day telling their story. You could probably find it on the old internet. Hopefully, the gossip slows. That sucks for everyone involved. -
Draft longshot most likely to succeed

He was my other thought. The build isn’t there but he’s been so productive. -
Thanks @Virgilfpr putting it through. Also, thank you for putting this together. It is consistently one of the best threads on the board. The Panthers selected Ricks to play opposite Jaycee Horn. Ricks was an elite recruit with a strange college career filled with peaks and valleys. He is just a really good football player, capable of playing at a very high level. As a freshman he looked like a future superstar. The Panthers have added 3 starters in the first 3 rounds.

TSW Mock Draft Poll - Who Should the Bills select at #91
Kirby Jackson replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I voted Battle. He feels like BPA to me and it will be a need by 2024. -
Every year there are players drafted on day 3 (or undrafted) that go one to have great careers. Who is the player, projected outside of the top 100 picks, that you think is likeliest to be a good pro? I’ll throw a name out: Rakim Jarrett, WR Maryland He was a highly recruited player with great physical tools. His technical skills are lacking but if he gets “coached up” you’ll have something imo.

Shaq is interesting to me. It’s rare to see a guy go from overrated, to underrated to properly rated. Shaq ia a quality football player. He does everything pretty well. When the Bills drafted him we all wanted more. He became a good edge setter and a smart player. Now, he’s in the role where he belongs. He’s a good, rotational DE, with a high floor. Good signing

27 may be obvious even if unexpected
Kirby Jackson replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do believe Hooker is in play at 27. I believe that the Bills would like to move out of that slot. They may try to go up if JSN or an OT slips. Otherwise, I would think that they would like to go back instead of reaching on a LB (for example). In order to go back, someone must want to come up. Hooker is the only logical target in that range. That’s 5th year option for a QB is so valuable. -
The Carolina Panthers select CJ Stroud, quarterback, THE Ohio State University

I’m in Virgil…I’ll take whoever you need me to grab

WR is the more impactful position but the TE talent in this draft is superior to the WR talent. I’ve vowed to try to steer clear of discussing positions with the draft. The PLAYERS determine the correct answer, not the positions. It isn’t “TE or WR.” It is “Player X (wr)” or “Player Y (te).” The “X” and the “Y” determine the correct answer.

Name 2 players the Buffalo Bills will select in the 2023 NFL Draft
Kirby Jackson replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Luke Schoonmaker-TE, Michigan Gervon Dexter - DL, Florida I will add Jonathan Mingo to the mix as well. He feels like a Bills target to me. -
I tried to move my 2 next to my brother’s 2. Last year we made it into the same section, 4 rows apart. There were no sets of 4 so I think that I’m staying where I’m at in section 237.

I appreciate the tips on how to voice an opinion on TBD. I’m learning a lot.
