Is Sean McDermott our version of Doug Collins?
Kirby Jackson replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
This has come up here a couple of times. At this point, it’s the most appropriate comparison IMO. I advocated, last year, for Sean Payton this year, if the Bills didn’t (at least) go to the Super Bowl. Sean Payton with Allen and Diggs would have won multiple Super Bowls imo. It remains to be seen if McDermott is good enough when it matters most. -
68 catches 680 yards 6 TDs I did 4 catches and 40 yards a game. I also figured a TD every 3 games. Those numbers feel realistic to me.

Congratulations to the Buffalo Bandits!

There are stats out there. The participation isn’t even in the same stratosphere as baseball. Baseball is second to only basketball in youth participation in the US (let alone around the world). There are millions and millions more people participating in baseball than lacrosse (which is still a very regional game). -
That’s what we are seeing PTR. That’s a HUGE reason that a remodel was never an option. You can’t take someone that sits at the 45, 15 rows up, pays $150 a ticket (or whatever it is), and “right size” the pricing. That real estate may be worth $400 - $500 a ticket with the right ammenities. You CAN start in a new building with that “option” and then let supply and demand fill them. My tickets now are roughly $250 each and I’m at the goal line (ish) in the 200’s. Imagine what they would charge me, with those same ammenities, in the above location? I am not the person to do that but there are some people that would absolutely pay more for that location. It’s a matter of marrying ammenities and location. The Bills know what they are doing. My hope is to have similar (or more) ammenities and keep my price in the neighborhood of where I’m at now. If it ends up $350 per so be it. If it ends up doubling, it’ll be annoying but I’d still be in. The Bills know the market and where they can get to. The PSL discussion will be the interesting one.

But it kind of is because infinitely more people are competing in baseball than indoor lacrosse. The amount of people that you need to be “better than” to make it to that level is nowhere near what it is in the 4 majors. It’s harder to be Jeff Manto than to be Dhane Smith. -

Fine but no one is going to remember Rich Kilgore in the same breathe as Dominik Hasek. -

Congrats to the Bandits. Winning any championship is an accomplishment. With that being said, it is on par with the Bisons winning. I hope that they do. If they don’t, I’ll be okay. I do not like how their accomplishments sit equal to the Sabres in the arena. It just doesn’t feel right to me that Rich Kilgore sits alongside Dominik Hasek. I’m fine with a Bandits HOF in the concourse. They do not belong alongside the Sabres. I don’t believe (could be wrong) that Boston recognizes lacrosse players in the same manner as Bird, Russell and Orr. -
The local works well. It travels with me. Unlimited DVR is another plus. It’s a few dollars more than when I signed up but way cheaper than DirecTV

Tom Brady dated celebrities. He played in 10 Super Bowls. Relax

That’s my hope too. I’m trying to jump on whatever that presale looks like. It probably isn’t a lot but hopefully there are some.

I missed it 😔

Does anyone know when the presale / on-sale is? I had to register by 5/15, which I did, but there has been no communication as to when we can actually buy them.

“Legends” awarded F&B contract for the new stadium
Kirby Jackson replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
I worked with a lot of the Legends leadership when I was in sports (Toman, Ondrejko, Estis). They are some of smartest sports business minds in the world. As an aside, my cousin’s husband was offered the opportunity to be the point person for Legends on the Bills stadium deal. He could not commit to that and turned it down. At any rate, the Bills are working with the best of the best. Legends is in a league of their own. -
I have done it on the road before. Supply and demand with sports tickets has never been more prevalent than now. With the ease of StubHub and others, there is a market that determines the value of tickets. If you want to see the Bills in OP in September or October, it’ll cost you. If you wait until December, you’ll get in cheaper. Bills tickets were always so cheap compared to other teams in the league. Those days are gone.

It’s a sad, sad story. They are close family friends. I’m actually heading to the funeral in about an hour. Kaiir spent the entire wake by her side yesterday. He has been a godsend to the family. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

That’s fair and that game wasn’t off to the best start.

Bennett was a MUCH better player than a few guys from that era that made it up there. With that being said, maybe the off the field issues have prevented him from going up? There are a bunch of others that belong: Moulds, Ruben Brown, Kyle Williams for sure. You could make arguments for a lot of others. I always use the “Jim Richter scale” to determine the worthiness. He was a decent player but not WOF-worthy. This current era has more guys that will go: Allen, McDermott, Diggs, Hyde?, Poyer?, Milano?, Tre?

17 teams won 8 games or less last year. That’s more than 1/2 of the league. We don’t need to do mental gymnastics to diminish that. We used to do the reverse and try to justify why we were a “good 7-9.” You rarely win 8 in a row in the NFL against ANYBODY!! If I had the energy I would look up how many teams had 8 game winning streaks in 2022. It isn’t many.

Perfectly said This post is exactly right on so many levels. These people have been down for so long they don’t know how to be up.

Parking passes at the stadium lots are only sold on a season basis. You used to have to have 4 club seats to be able to purchase one. I’m not sure if that is still the case. Everything else is done on game day. You can probably find one on stub hub or wherever but parking in the stadium lots is a NIGHTMARE IMO. It can take hours to exit after the game. You can pretty much park and tailgate wherever.
