Outlook on McDermott if we turn it around
Kirby Jackson replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Apparently it was 20-9. We played our best game of the year in a “must lose” scenario 😂😂. -

Lol, that was the same game for me!! Didn’t they beat Carolina on a last second FG? -
Officials Blowing Their Whistles in the Middle of Play
Kirby Jackson replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills won by A LOT yesterday. That was one of the poorest officiated games that I’ve ever seen!!! My favorite was when it was 1st and 5 and the Bills lost 2 yards. AFTER the play, the officials got together and said that they forgot to move the chains on the prior play. It became 2nd and 12!! You either have to move the chains AND the football OR leave it alone. The truth is, you should do it right to begin with. The Bills didn’t end up converting a 1st down. That was WILD. You can add a handful of other brutal mistakes to the list. Just a horrendous game for the officials!! -
Outlook on McDermott if we turn it around
Kirby Jackson replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Help me understand the bolded. What does that mean? How would you know if “____” is an improvement? A few years ago Dan Campbell wouldn’t have seemed like an upgrade. He would have been. Do we know if Bobby Slowik or Ben Johnson would be improvements? Anyone COULD be an improvement OR a step back. That just doesn’t make sense to me. You ABSOLUTELY shouldn’t make a decision on McDermott (or any coach) based on what you perceive to be as “clear upgrades.” Any decision should be made based on whether or not you believe Sean McDermott is the guy to win Super Bowl(s) with this team. That’s the only criteria. -
Outlook on McDermott if we turn it around
Kirby Jackson replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m pretty much the exact opposite of this. I believe that lots and lots of people could lead this roster to wins. I said before the year, “Super Bowl or I want someone else.” I’m not going to ride the wave of “good week he should stay” vs. “bad week he should go.” As McDermott likes to say, “the standard is the standard.” -
I’ve been vocal for the last year that I thought he should be replaced. It wasn’t a popular opinion in March. It’s a lot more popular now. The Bills have multiple issues. Coaching MAY be at the top of the list. McDermott did a nice job of building the program. He has not proven to be a guy that can get you to the “promised land.” You cannot continue to “run it back.” Dorsey was the first step. The Bills should move on this off-season and hire an offensive HC. We need to elevate Josh Allen and get him back to the player that he was a couple of years ago.

The Ken Dorsey Over/Under HC Interviews Poll
Kirby Jackson replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s just a rough number because that is about what there always is. You can add New England and Washington off the top of my head. The Saints are definitely replacing Allen. Carolina is a maybe (I think Reich is the betting favorite to be the next fired). That’s 7. Arizona? Indy? Giants? Titans? Tampa? -
The Ken Dorsey Over/Under HC Interviews Poll
Kirby Jackson replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is a great topic @FireChans!! I have the number 2 stuck in my head. When I opened this thread 1.5 I was taking over, 2 I was taking push and 2.5 I was going under. I don’t think Dorsey is good. I also think that he’s a young offensive mind that has worked with a franchise QB. His offense has scored a lot despite the current flaws. There will be roughly 7 HC openings and 5 or 6 (at least) will go to offensive minded people. It isn’t crazy to me that 25% of the open jobs request a Dorsey interview. -
I’m not sure where to put this but, the Bills are just okay. I know that they’re beat up but this just isn’t good enough. The Bills are poorly coached. Don’t argue it, they are. They’re beat up. They lack creativity. This is one of my least favorite years that I can remember.

What's on Your Menu for the Cinci Bengals Game?
Kirby Jackson replied to HIT BY SPIKES's topic in The Stadium Wall
I love this thread!! I remember back in the day on here when things went sideways people would just start posting random recipes. Those were the days!! In the spirit of “the good ole days” I’m going with this fantastic roast pork dip from Chef Brian Landry: INGREDIENTS 10 to 12 servings 1bone-in pork butt (approximately 5 to 7 pounds) 1head garlic, broken into individual cloves and peeled Kosher salt Black pepper 1tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped, plus 1 teaspoon leaves 2teaspoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped 3celery stalks, roughly chopped 1carrot, roughly chopped 1onion, roughly chopped 2fresh bay leaves 4cups chicken stock 1cup white wine ½cup crushed tomatoes 3tablespoons unsalted butter 3tablespoons all-purpose flour Crusty rolls or baguette Step 1 Heat oven to 400 degrees. Using a small knife, make several incisions about ½ inch long and 1 inch deep all over the pork. Cut garlic cloves in half lengthwise and insert garlic pieces into each incision. Generously season pork all over with salt, pepper, chopped thyme and rosemary. Step 2 Place celery, carrot, onion and bay leaves in a large roasting pan. Lay pork butt on top, fat side up. Step 3 Roast pork for 30 minutes, then lower oven temperature to 300 degrees. Add chicken stock, wine and tomatoes to roasting pan. Continue to cook pork until internal temperature registers 190 degrees with an instant-read thermometer and meat is fork-tender, another 3 to 4 hours. If pork begins to brown too quickly, cover loosely with aluminum foil. Step 4 Transfer pork to a platter and allow to rest for at least 20 minutes. Using a fine sieve, strain cooking liquid. Skim off as much fat as you can and reserve liquid. Step 5 Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook, stirring constantly until a light brown roux is formed, 7 to 8 minutes. Whisk in 4 cups of the drippings and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and reaches the consistency of sauce, about 10 minutes. Season with thyme leaves, salt and pepper. Step 6 When pork is cool enough to handle, shred with a fork, then add it along with the sauce back to a large pan and reheat. Serve on crusty rolls or baguette, garnished as desired. -
Have we ever made a big move before the trade deadline?
Kirby Jackson replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, Cornelius Bennett. Next question… -
Trade deadline needs what are your priorities
Kirby Jackson replied to Xwnyer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not the case here… The Bills have been super active and can’t convince themselves that they are “good enough.” They signed Fournette and rumors swirling on Jaylon Johnson. They’re going to make moves. We will see if it matters. -

Kirby Jackson replied to Xwnyer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I firmly believe that the Bills make a couple of moves at the deadline. My guess is that they try to bring in some defensive help (CB, LB and/or DT). I think that a playmaker is also on the table. I will be really, really surprised if they run with this roster for the rest of the year. -
The Next Four Leading Into the Bye
Kirby Jackson replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
3-1 feels like the easy answer. Win the 2 that you are supposed to and split the two “coin toss” games. You’ll be in good shape (especially if the win is against Cincy). -

Week 8 - Around the NFL (i.e. NOT a Bills thread please)
Kirby Jackson replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is 2023. Teams need to start trying to “win” and stop trying “not to lose.” Daboll took what he learned from McDermott and allowed Zach Wilson to head right down the field. Instead of going on 4th and 1 and putting them away. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes -
Mid Season Super Bowl Predictions. Who Ya got?
Kirby Jackson replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Before: Bills vs. 49ers Want: Bills vs. some team that they’ll beat Think: KC vs. Philly -
You know what’s weird is that the crowd has evolved over the last few years. I’m not saying that it’s good or bad. A few years ago people entered that building SO fired up. Before the game started that place was ELECTRIC. Since 13 seconds the crowd is more reserved before the game. It is almost like “wait and see.” The flow of the game is dictating the energy. They are still VERY loud but we have a little less arrogance. It was loud last night and it has been loud at times over the last few years. It’s just not as aggressive/loud in the parking lot/walk in/player intros.

This is where I think I am. Give me a creative offensive mind to take this team across the goal line.

Your very true feelings for tomorrow outcome
Kirby Jackson replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that the Bills show up and play a good game tomorrow. I don’t expect it to be close.
