  1. Someone made an interesting point (can’t remember which thread it was in). They said how Beane has taken some high ceiling low floor guys in the 1st (counting Coleman here) and then productive/safe guys in the 2nd (paraphrasing). It’s interesting when you think about it. They’ve taken guys like Josh, Elam, Rousseau, Coleman and then guys like Epenesa, Boogie, Cook, Torrence, Ford, Bishop & Zay.
  2. Sorry, should have clarified. The list was assembled by NFL executives not ESPN personalities. It was 50 top executives or something like that.
  3. The last list that I saw (the ESPN one) didn’t have him in the top 10. Oliver didn’t make the top 10 either. The same goes for Bernard. Rasul and Rousseau weren’t even considered as top 10 at their position. If Von becomes Von again that changes things. He was an elite player at one of the most important positions in football.
  4. Agree That’s been my point. The Bills are still really good because they have an elite QB. They have worse players around him than they did and less depth. They weren’t good enough with better talent and depth.
  5. Yep, because they don’t have Josh Allen. You’re making my point for me. He has elevated average to good rosters/coaching to contenders. This team is not very good without him.
  6. No, but they were still good players. They weren’t as good as they were in 2021 but better than what we have today. Who are the top 10 Bills not named Josh Allen? Where do they rank at their position in the NFL? Taron is a top 2 slot corner. Dawkins is a top 10ish OT. Milano is elite but has injury issues. Oliver is a top 10ish DT. Kincaid is a top 6-8 TE. When you look at this roster compared to their peers it is lacking.
  7. Well, the 49ers actually went. They didn’t need us to use our imaginations.
  8. Yep, and we beat up on them because we had a balanced and DEEP roster. That’s what I said the entire time. The Bills didn’t have elite talent at the top but were good from 1-53. Now they have worse top end talent and have way less depth.
  9. The 49ers have been to 2 of the last 5 Super Bowls. That’s not the flex that you think it is. Their roster has WAY more talent than this roster.
  10. Fair, Oliver was very good. I don’t put too much stock into CBs vs. the QBs. The backs have been good (especially Ray Davis).
  11. I listed 3 first team all-pros and the 2nd most efficient kicker in history. They are elite. Bernard is in the good player tier. He’s not in the tier with the guys listed. The best player on the Bills, not named Josh Allen, is Taron Johnson. He’s right there with McDuffie as the best slot corner in football.
  12. We had 1 player in the NFL top 100 on one ranking. We had 2 on the player rankings (Dawkins was 95 or something). With 32 teams, each team should, in theory, have 3 (plus) players. A team that perennially is near the top of the league should have more than just their QB as top 100 players. The Chiefs, Dolphins and 49ers have like 6 or 7 guys each. We have Josh.
  13. Ray Davis looks really good as well.
  14. Yeah, it has been better today. Watching this though shouldn’t leave anyone feeling good. We have had some back of the roster guys flash (Andresson, Solomon) and Rousseau dominate. He is the only one that will play a prominent role that has really been excellent.
  15. Chris Jones 😂😂 Joe Thuney Trent McDuffie Harrison Butker
  16. If you’ve been paying attention, it isn’t this game. I’ve been concerned about the talent for a while. I’ve been a vocal skeptic of the Coleman pick because he doesn’t separate. The WRs are bad. The OL has been better tonight and the defense has had some guys flash. We will see if that translates vs. a NFL offense with a real QB.
  17. Hot take?!? Lol, are we following different teams? This roster is not good. The QB is elite. They have a lack of depth, bad skill players, questions at the LOS, lousy special teams and average coaching. Sorry if that hurts..
  18. lol, seriously? This is a bad roster. If you remove Josh Allen, what do you think the record is? I will say 5-12 is the ceiling without him. Before you say, “what is KC’s record without Mahomes” it’s probably 9-8 or better. They have some elite players and a top of the coaching staff.
  19. The Bills haven’t been loaded with high end talent. They have had an elite QB, some really good players (Diggs, Poyer, Hyde, Tre, Milano, Dawkins, Taron, and a few others) plus fantastic depth. Now they have lost the good players & the depth has been elevated leaving them thin. Without Josh Allen this team would pick in the top 5. Sorry if that hurts but it’s reality. This is a bad roster .
  20. Welp, this team is going as far as Josh can carry them.
  21. This is certainly possible. This Bills team lacks talent. It’s the worst roster since Josh’s rookie season. With that being said, prime Josh Allen is probably good for 8 wins by himself.
  22. Not trying to be nit picky but why are we excluding Watson? He had more catches, yards and TDs than all of those WRs other than Rice.
  23. I think that’s reasonable. I think that they still make the playoffs because of Josh Allen. 10-7 is about where I have them. They have a shot at the division still imo.
  24. Define a “Kelce-like player.” The greatest TE of all-time?
  25. Is that how you’re reading that? Huh, I’m reading it as, “their production was fine for a 3rd or 4th option but will not cut it as lead options. They are going to have to take a step forward.” Obviously the gross numbers will increase for both as volume increases. It’s also beyond reasonable to expect Shakir’s efficiency to drop with that increase in volume. The question is where does the volume/efficiency land?
