I will throw out an alternative option just for fun: 12 - Roquan Smith 22 & 121 trade down with Pittsburgh picking up their 3rd, Martavus Bryant and a 2019 1st 53 - Harrison Phillips 56 - Rashaad Penny 65 - Tyrell Crosby 92 - Darius Leonard 97 - Luke Falk 166 - Antonio Calloway 187 - Brian Allen So, to recap the Bills would add: 2019 1st QB: Falk RB: Penny OL: Crosby and Allen WR: Bryant and Calloway DT: Phillips LB: Roquan and Leonard

I’m not assuming that. I’m not assuming anything other than “he’s okay.” Maybe that was the case, maybe it wasn’t. You can assume whatever floats your boat.

It was in poor taste to talk about what it means for the team when he was in a psych ward. Now, that we have seen multiple people say he will be fine, a joke about his hands is acceptable. At no point is it acceptable to joke about his mental health. Do you see the difference?

If you read it, I said can’t we treat him like a human for a little while. Now that we know he’s okay all bets are off.

I’m not sure Zay impacts the draft plans a ton. The Bills needed a 1 or 2 already. That has always been a part of the plan. It may make bringing back a guy like Thompson more of a priority but WR was a big need regardless of his situation.

I like him quite a bit in the bridge/back up role. McCarron can be to us what Matt Moore is to Miami. He was absolutely a good addition (especially at that price). I don’t think that he solves the QB issue but am glad to have him.

Tyrod’s legacy here will be like Flutie’s without the controversy. The team was better than they had been with him at the helm. He had some moments and ultimately maxed out.

Said a different way, I feel that I probably know more about the Ohio State players than the Bills coaches do. I’ve made it a priority to watch and follow them. I would think that the same can be applied to the Pitt fans. Obviously the Bills coaches have a much more trained eye but I’ve watched all 1211 of JT Barrett’s pass attempts. I have a pretty good idea where he excels and where he struggles.

I’m going to bow out of this thread as I’ve given my opinion. Feel free to hold out hope for Peterman. I’ll continue to think that he is a scrub. One of us will end up right and one of us will end up wrong. They dropped passes all year!! We heard that it was “Tyrod’s fault that the receivers struggled.” Now we are hearing that Peterman was held back by the receivers. So which is it? The answer is that they were all bad.

I wasn’t unsing the Jags game until you said “he was pretty solid in every game but the Chargers.” Either you thought that he was pretty solid in the Jags game or you weren’t being honest earlier. I’m not the one trying to create a narrative. His stats speak for themselves. He is off to the worst start of any QB ever. You are the one trying to dress that up. The receivers were blanketed and the OL rough all year!! That’s not a check mark for him. Every Bills QB played with that line and those receivers. Oh good, more excuses for him...

I have seen a lot more of Peterman than just his snaps with the Bills. I don’t need to see more. He will be lucky at this point to be on a roster. That’s not a bad thing. He should just be viewed as a fringe roster player and not a serviceable option. Peterman was 5-10 for 50 something yards. Obviously the conditions were tough but that’s the game people are raving about.

So you think it was “pretty solid.” Those are your words, not mine. It’s laughable the excuses that Bills fans will make for this scrub. If they approached it like Zay and said “he was terrible but I’m not ready to give up on him” we’d probably let it be. Instead, we have an excuse for every one of his zillion mistakes. He probably has the most mistakes per snap of any QB ever!! It is always someone else’s fault. It’s okay that he just sucks.

It looked like that every game!! The receivers never separated and the line wasn’t great at pass blocking. Rewatch his 4 plays from Jacksonville. If a fumble, and intentional grounding call and an INT are a “pretty solid” 4 plays, I would love to hear what is bad? That is the exact example that I keep challenging people on him! In what word is that “pretty solid?!?!?”

He trusted his OC to make that call. He ultimately will take the responsibility but the decision wasn’t driven by McDermott (it was accepted by him). Still no no one has given what they like about his play. Again, the guys that have seen and evaluated him the most like him the least. There are a lot of people here saying, “we need to see more.” The guys like GB and Blokes that have thoroughly evaluated him think less of him than those that don’t like him!! That’s scary to me. You (nor anyone) still hasn’t answered why he will add more value to the team than Reilly (or whoever is player 53)? Outside of a disaster, Peterman won’t play a snap. The best endorsement people have had so far is “he probably isn’t as bad as he looked.” No one is saying “I think he will be an asset.” The hope is that at some point he can be a backup. Is he more likely to be a serviceable QB at this point than some like Logan Woodside? Not necessarily and there are young guys available like that all of the time.

They called him “Nervous Nate” in college for the way that he played under pressure.

FWIW, it was Dennison that pushed for it. I know that to be the truth. I watched Peterman take 4 snaps against Jax, he fumbled, took an international grounding and got picked. Glad to see that encouraged you. I honestly hope that they cut that bum so that we can stop having people like you defending him when he doesn’t deserve it. You hated Tyrod who was a serviceable starter (the league concurs). Yet you are more than willing to give a roster spot to a guy coming off THE WORST HALF IN NFL HISTORY!! Peterman sucks and will never play in a game for the Bills again. He will be a distant 3rd on the depth chart if by the 50/50 chance he makes the team. I will be back at that point to say I was right, just like I did in the Matthews thread. If a guy sucks, he sucks. He doesn’t need to be defended.

Which player do you think will have a better career? What percent chance do you think Peterman has of starting for 4 years? It was MAYBE 2% before the Chargers game (based on the history of guys picked there). In the middle of a playoff chase the 2% chance was a stupid decision and cost the OC his job.
