  1. Good post GB and I certainly agree. These slot receivers get by on quickness and that’s where I think Ward excels. Harris is a really good comp. I don’t see him going past 9. I don’t love this class of DBs (especially compared to the last few years). He’s a guy that will be pretty versatile and help a team day 1. I agree that he is gone in the top 10. He’s one of the best players in this draft. I’d have him a notch below Barkley, Nelson, Chubb and Fitzpatrick but in the tier with the QBs, and LBs.
  2. I’m not saying that is exclusively why but it is ABSOLUTELY a factor. I told a story last week of a guy that stopped by our Bills tent at the St. Patrick’s Day parade 2 weeks ago and said “I’m glad Tyrod is gone. Now they can play a white QB.” That guy has never met any of us and is a season ticket holder. I know that it’s uncomfortbale for people and everyone will say “that’s not the case” but it certainly is a factor. He was an okay QB (like Tannehill). He should be remembered as such and that’s all. Hopefully we will upgrade.
  3. He’s already throwing to Landry and Gordon. Beckham is going to be a whiny diva no matter where he goes.
  4. McDermott has to make the final call but Dennison pushes for the change. McDermott certainly signed off on it but WAS NOT the driving force behind it. That was Dennison. He would be liked more than he is.
  5. I don’t think that the Bills go CB but Ward is really good. I also think there is little chance that he is on the board at 12. He doesn’t seem like the perfect fit for McDermott’s defense though. Ward, to me, is a guy that should be shadowing around precise route runners. His hips and feet are about as smooth as they come. He wasn’t meant to play in a zone IMO. He’s a lot like a smaller, less explosive with the ball in his hands, version of Lattimore. Ward will give receivers hell at the next level. He is like a bug that you can’t get off of you.
  6. If I dig through old texts I do. It is from about as reliable of a source as there is on the subject. The text is actually from between the announcement and the game so it isn’t even hindsight.
  7. I know that to be a fact. Dennison asked for the move.
  8. That’s not why he got benched, that’s why a lot of Bills fans don’t like him. Those aren’t interchangeable. He got benched because Dennison thought his garbage offense would improve. He pushed for the move and McDermott went along. It lasted a half, failed in epic fashion and Dennison was fired. There are no conspiracies needed to cover for that scrub. He got a chance and sucked worse than any player ever has in the 1st half that he ever played!!
  9. Next time someone wants to talk about how perfect the Pats ate point to this stupid trade. They dealt Brissett for Dorsett who might not make the team this year. They preceded to lose Jimmy G and instead of having a young #2 with potential to be a starter they have Phillip Dorsett.
  10. Mills got beat consistently because he isn’t good and was up against a great pass rush. There is no ridiculous conspiracy theory and will people please, please, please stop making excuses for Peterman being historically bad?!? Can we just call that decision what it was, “a mistake,” and move on? Pass rushers ran free all year. We talk about how long Tyrod holds the ball. I suspect in about 8 months we will begin remembering how many guys he made miss that came clean. The OL was not good last year and doesn’t appear any better on paper. They actually might be worse. That wasn’t a conspiracy though. That was a bad tackle getting beat and a bad QB making terrible plays.
  11. This is the answer. The small school guys typically fit too (as would Josh Allen). Basically anyone that wasn’t some elite prospect.
  12. I tend to agree even if it is not a popular opinion around here. OBJ is about as far from the stereotypical “Buffalo guy” as you will find. With that being said he is a star and our WR group stinks. It makes sense for the Bills.
  13. Yeah, it might be a CRAZY top 10. Everyone will be in scramble mode.
  14. They would be flip flopping picks in my scenario as well. That is the equivalent of a 2nd rounder (maybe the Browns add a pick). If the Giants do like Darnold it make sense.
  15. I’m not saying anything about Darnold other than “he is a consensus top 5 prospect.” You will find a zillion people that have him there.
  16. The Giants supposedly like Darnold a lot. He is the guy that most people think will be gone. They are fed up with OBJ and not going to pay him what he wants. The Browns can offer them the chance to get the QB that they want and pick up OBJ at the same time. The Browns can afford the crazy price for Beckham and Landry because their entire roster is on rookie deals. It makes a lot of sense IMO.
  17. Do you really need to ask that?!? Why were people so much quicker to give up on Jeff Tuel than they were Peyton Manning? The answer is pretty simple, they are different quality prospects!! That’s why 1 guy goes at 1 and 1 at 171.
  18. Beckham and 2 to the Browns for 1 & Corey Coleman.
  19. ...and it’s not guaranteed
  20. Yeah, I think that we will all lump a consensus top 5 player in the same category as the 171st pick.
  21. Definitely hoping it’s Peterman. What better way to follow up a playoff season than to start the season with one of the worst QBs in history?
  22. He might be the worst person in the NFL. Hard pass
  23. Guess again...
  24. What’s the biggest difference between Tyrod and those 3? I’m not saying, I’m just saying...
