  1. I’m not sure that anything outside of Bruce vs. OJ is even up for debate.
  2. I agree with you John. It feels fake. I know that these guys are ecstatic but they will be hating Goodell within a few months anyways. It’s cool when they are with their families. It could be cool if their college coach welcomed them as well.
  3. Darius Leonard (if he makes it that far). I like Anthony Miller, Martez Carter, Avonte Maddox, Jack Cichy and Poona Ford (in no particular order). There are a bunch of others but those are a few.
  4. I think that this is true but I would add Edmunds as well. They are going to try like hell to get a QB but if they can't get up they are going to try to add a Pro Bowl caliber defender.
  5. I wonder what his jacket size is? ?
  6. Haha, in other news the Bills give Nathan Peterman and Jordan Mills permission to seek a trade.
  7. He’s the guy that I am thinking at this point. Clearly the Bills like him.
  8. You offer them the 2nd and the 4th next year. They either take it or they don’t. They can ask for whatever they want but will get whatever is offered to them. They can choose to take it or hold onto Foles. My guess is that they try to hold on and hope for a preseason injury to a QB of a contender.
  9. I’ll play along but in a slightly different way. Keep 12, trade 22 and your 4th for a 2nd this year and 1st next year. Trade a 2nd and 2019 4th for Foles. The next month could look something like this: - Foles - Roquan Smith - Billy Price - Christian Kirk - Rashad Penny - Darius Leonard - Brian O’Neill - Avonte Maddox - 2019 1st I am not one that believes Foles is the answer but thought this would be a fun exercise.
  10. The world is so much different in 2018 than in 1983. It’s a much smaller world. It doesn’t matter where you go anymore. The best athlete in the world is in Cleveland and he isn’t hidden being there.
  11. Would you trade Sammy Sosa for Wade Boggs and a side of rice pilaf?
  12. Substitute 65 and a 2019 2nd for that 2019 1st and I’m in. I wouldn’t include the 2019 1st unless it was a last resort. Giants get 4, 12, 53, 65, 2019 2nd
  13. Ha ha, I’m not sure that you are going to want to hear Gunner’s thoughts on Nate. GB does an excellent job when it comes to QBs. He pushed his chips in last year on Watson and looks like a genius at this point.
  14. I named their assets. 1 teams has gone from 15 to the top of the draft, the Rams. It cost them 2 1’s, 2, 2’s and 2 3’s. To meet that price the Cardinals would have to trade their first 4 picks this year and their top 2 next year. They wouldn’t add a player this year before 134 and next year before at least 65 or so. Do you think that is realistic? I certainly don’t. I’ve said that Denver is the one actual threat. They can assemble a package to get to 2. If they do that the Bills will be looking at 6 with the Colts or 7 with Tampa. That potentially brings Miami into play. At the same time the Bills are still paying way less than they would have and Miami can’t compete. The Bills will absolutely not be picking at 12. They aren’t just going to overpay either. They have a zillion different scenarios depending on how the top goes. They may go to 2, 4, 5, 6 or 7.
  15. Who are the other buyers? You said Arizona and Miami and I just illustrated why they aren’t. They aren’t making a Ricky Williams move. Miami could maybe try to get to like 7 but the Bills can still trump that easily. There are teams that would love to go up but they don’t have the assets. The Bills are the only realistic buyers (besides Denver) and they know that. Teams can’t leverage the Dolphins or Cardinals because the Bills know that they don’t have what it takes. If the Giants get the Broncos involved, that could change things. They can put together a viable offer for 2 (and it still give the Giants Chubb or Barkley). It sounds like Cleveland wants QB and Barkley. They aren’t looking for more picks. You’d be trying to get to 5 for Baker at that point.
  16. Yeah, I don’t like all 4 the same. If the Bills do it is a good option. It’s kind of what they did with McCarron. They took the last “bridge” type of guy and paid $.10 on the dollar. If they go to 5 and take ____ it will certainly be cheaper. I am shooting for 2 as well but there are options.
  17. That’s the point though. They aren’t getting those offers from Miami or Arizona. Therefore you won’t necessarily have to pay all of that draft capital. There are no other buyers. You’ll have to make a strong offer but they can’t leverage your offer against someone else. If they want to move down the Bills are the team.
  18. When the Rams went from 15 to 1 (where Arizona is) they traded 2 1sts, 2 2nds and 2 3rds. Arizona has 15, 47, 79 and 97 this year. They will have to use 1 & 2 next year to have a shot. If you think that a team is going to use their first 4 picks this year and their 1st 2 the following year, we disagree. No team has ever done that. They aren’t a realistic player. Miami has 11, 42, 73, 111 and next year’s 1st and 2nd. I don’t see that as realistic either. That’s the point. At 12, the Bills can offer 12, 22, 53 and 65 and no one can come close. If they get to 7 it may be even less. You’ll get a QB at 5. Cleveland and/or Giants are taking a position player. It depends on the grades that you have though. If you like all 4 guys than it works. If it has to be a particular guy you may need to get to 2.
  19. How is Arizona or Miami making that deal? What assets are they using that surpass what we can do? It isn’t even close. The Bills are probably parting with 4 of their top 5 picks but no one has a package that can rival that. If they make the move mentioned above they may pay less based on the Broncos not wanting to go lower than 7.
  20. There are no other buyers though. They will want 50% and say that is the number but if no one is paying that they aren’t getting it. If Darnold is there they may take him. If not, I doubt that they go QB. They will be looking to add assets. The Bills have way more leverage than they are getting credit for. These teams have a pick that the Bills want but the Bills have the assets that they want. No one else, besides Cleveland, is even in the conversation.
  21. That’s not necessarily what will happen though. These teams will take the best offer if they want to move down. If Denver wants Nelson why not go to 7 & pick up a 3rd and a 4th?
  22. I think that you will almost certainly get a QB there. It depends to me on how closely you have them graded. There will be 2 or 3 off of the board by 5. You may be looking at your 3rd or 4th choice. That would be a home run of a trade though. You would walk out with something like: Baker, Vander Esch, Penny and Pettis.
  23. You’re right: I’d rather watch the Brady family vs. the firing squad
