Who was the best QB from the 2004 Class?
Kirby Jackson replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ben Rivers Eli -
I don’t want to trade the 2019 1st. I also don’t know how closely the Bills have the prospects graded. I would be willing to pay a substantial price if they have a guy that they love followed by a bunch of guys that they like. If they are all pretty close than I’d pay a lesser price and still get a guy that I have a high grade on. It isn’t an easy (or realistic) question IMO. It really does depend. I voted trade up because I am willing to part with some assets. There are trade up scenarios though that I will like less than staying put.

Brandon Marshall - released from NYG
Kirby Jackson replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That’s an upgrade!! Get ‘er done!! FWIW, I don’t hate Marshall on a cheap deal. I like it more than Dez at this point. Marshall would be a better locker room addition (can’t believe that I am saying that). -
Haven’t followed the thread but week 10 & week 14 are Jets games and 10/29 is Pats Monday Night

Trade Rumors? (only Rumors)
Kirby Jackson replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, because no team is going to make a move without calling the Bills first like @kdiggz said. The Bills are the rich guy at the auction. You want to keep him in the bidding. You aren’t accepting some lowball offer without checking his interest. -
Trade Rumors? (only Rumors)
Kirby Jackson replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m not that concerned because I think that a move ahead of us is too costly for either. If the Bills give 12, 53 and 96 (or 121 or a 2019 4th) to the Colts, Miami or Arizona will have to empty their assets. Miami will likely have to go 11, 42, 73 (and maybe more) to get in front of us. They wouldnt have a 2nd pick until 123. Arizona is probably 15, 47, 79 and 97. They wouldnt pick again until 134. The Bills can make it too expensive for those teams to get in front of them without gutting their own assets. -
What is your #1 QB performance metric?
Kirby Jackson replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is how I feel as well. I was going to go with “it” but imo that is just another way of saying “knows how to win.” -
It has to be Graham but neither is good (and we traded up both times)!!

Myth that we traded up to 12 to grab a QB
Kirby Jackson replied to jahbonas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All joking aside I don’t know why anyone would want to trade up for a QB when the greatest QB ever was picked in the 6th. The best strategy is to wait for your 6th round pick, maybe even trade down a little, and then draft the next Tom Brady. Good QBs go in the top 10 but historically great QBs go 199. -

The Bills traded to 12 to secure the most pro-ready QB in the draft, John O’Korn. -

Dead on Dr. D!! The other thing is the Patriots have been able to get vets for pennies because they were ring chasing. That doesn’t make them geniuses; it makes them fortunate. Roseman would be my vote and I’m obligated to give special consideration to Colbert. -
Trade Rumors? (only Rumors)
Kirby Jackson replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not when the next 2 picks may be QBs. The premium is paid when a drop off is about to occur. As an example Chubb is ranked WAY higher than anyone else. Davenport will be the only other edge guy in the top 20 potentially. You pay a premium to be up a tier. No one is going to pay a ridiculous price for guy number 1 when guy number 4 grades out very closely. I know that you want some massive overpay and, maybe in Cleveland they think it will happen, but it won’t. Scarcity drives the price. -

It’s a guide too. People get caught up in the numbers. Look at what the Dolphins traded for Dion Jordan vs. what the Redskins traded for RG3. Both teams traded to 2 but at a totally different price. -

I don’t understand why people keep saying that? At this point it isn’t about numbers. It is about getting the guys that you want while getting extra assets. The Giants would be reluctant, but not because of the return. I think that they love Barkley. At 6 he may not be an option. If Gettleman is good with Barkley, Nelson or Chubb why wouldn’t he slide to 6 while picking up 22 & 65? I don’t care what the chart says (even though it favors the Giants) it makes sense for them. If they are set on Chubb or Barkley they have to get to 4. -
Peterman Works w/ Tom House, Adds Velocity
Kirby Jackson replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m not sure of the risk? If you are that concerned with losing Peterman you need to consider available options. Would you rather have Peterman or Cutler, Anderson, or Matt Moore? Those guys are all free agents. Every one of those guys represents a significant upgrade over Peterman. He’s 50/50 to be on the roster at this point. It all depends on how they feel about the depth elsewhere. They could carry an extra DB or WR that can contribute on ST over a 3rd QB. Less than half of the teams in the league carry 3 QBs. -
What does Shady need to get on the Bills WOF?
Kirby Jackson replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well said, C. Biscuit and spot on!! Shady is a great player and will end up having a great Bills career but he doesn’t belong on there. There are multiple guys up there that don’t belong. -

Can you post the one from last year as well? It would be interesting to look at.
