  1. He was 26 and coming off of back-to-back Pro Bowls. He was obviously an ascending player with a ridiculous ceiling. This was the exact kind of guy that they should have signed. Your money should pay great, young players, at premium positions. Peters was the poster child for a massive contract. The Bills decided against it and the rest is history.
  2. Anyone that was paying attention was furious. Rob had just finished destroying the Saints defense and his reputation was as low as it ever had been.
  3. I have the Browns at 8-8. I don’t think that the Bills get to that.
  4. That’s a good one too. That was not even an option. That’s without considering that the Bills has like 585 yards that day and the Dolphins roughly the same. That’s the worst in game decision that a Bills coach has ever made.
  5. My fiancé danced in the NBA for 2 seasons. It was a totally different environment. She used to get like $50 an hour for appearances. That’s probably why you don’t hear the complaints. These girls made $1200 on all-star weekend. You’d need to be an NFL cheerleader for like 6 years to make that. It was highly competitive and the girls all danced in college or at a high level. They had to deal with some of the bs but in general it was a good part time job while she was in school.
  6. I almost used paying Dockery and Walker as something that infuriated me. I believe, at that point, Dockery was the highest paid OG in the NFL!! That’s insanity. You couldn’t pay a HOFer but you could pay a borderline starter. I lump Troup and McCargo in the same boat. Both were giant reaches with question marks and both failed miserably. They weren’t ever even solid players. They were scrubs.
  7. The wishbone is a more modern idea than cheerleaders in the NFL. It’s 2018. There is no place for them in today’s NFL.
  8. They tried to get back up for Christian Kirk. He would have been a 2nd round pick of the Bills if the opportunity presented itself.
  9. Anyone that uses PM to discipline someone needs to get a life. He didn’t mean it but even if he did, say what you need to say on the board. Pulling people aside to express your outrage is ridiculous. You are the people that call the PGA to report a rules violation.
  10. These are both good ones because they didn’t make sense at the time. These weren’t bad decisions in hindsight; they were bad decisions immediately. I’ll throw another one out there, not paying Jason Peters. He was a young star at a premium position. That’s the exact kind of guy that you throw money at. It was a stupid decision to play hardball with him.
  11. Glass house? Orchard Park may be the last place I’d go in an opposing jersey. It is right near Philly. I was walking in with my sister’s friend from Cleveland (about 10 years ago) and he got hit in the head with a beer bottle!! This guy is about the nicest guy that you will ever meet. It was ridiculous.
  12. It’s just you. The cap is totally irrelevant at this point. The Bills will have TONS of cap space in 2019 regardless of the rollover. It’s a matter of, “do you think Dez can help you?” If the answer is “yes” then you should sign him. If you don’t think that he makes you better don’t add him. It comes back to “what is the goal for 2018?”
  13. Why? He has already done that this year (see: Newhouse, Marshall). If he’s thinking playoffs than adding better players (even a declining Dez) is important. If they are working towards the future let the young guys get the reps.
  14. The reason that the Browns are going with Tyrod is they need to win now. They are1-32 over the last two years!! With Taylor they win at least 6 games and may contend for a wild card. The whole culture needs to change in Cleveland. Tyrod is there to stabilize and then Baker to elevate them. It’s pretty similar to here in that sense. The Bills are stabilized and now they need to take the next step.
  15. It comes back to where the Bills think they are. If they think they can be a playoff team again, it might be worth the gamble. If they don’t expect that they should absolutely not bring him in. I’m totally indifferent on it one way or another.
  16. This is his 4th NFL OC job AND he held the position at Alabama. I’m not sure how he can possibly be considered a rookie? I think that it’s fair to say “did this guy get better under Saban and Belichick?” I don’t think that it’s fair to pretend that he’s learning what the job entails.
  17. That’s kind of the point. Dez is nowhere near the player that he was. He’s somewhere between a 2 and 4 now with attitude issues. He’d be near the top of the Bills depth chart because of the lack of talent. In Atlanta he’d be 4th or 5th. It just depends on the roster.
  18. Oh, well that makes sense then!! See you in Nashville!!
  19. Dez would help the Bills because they are awful at WR. Dez is a shell of the player that he was 5 years ago. That’s why he is still out there. I’m fine either way. I’d rather make a play for Corey Coleman.
  20. It was more of “the giant numbers” vs. “the guy he couldn’t beat.”
  21. I’m an Oban guy myself. Oban 18 year is my go to. Doesn’t that feel like a little bit of a Marino (War Admiral) & Kelly (Seabiscuit) debate?
  22. FWIW, I’ve heard similar. It’s not a good situation.
