  1. I’m not saying that is all that was wrong. Rico was taking heat for all of the things that you mentioned. He believed his offense would work with Peterman so they agreed to let him try it. It didn’t work. Rico’s offense didn’t work.
  2. A Super Bowl title will no doubt be one of the best days of all of our lives. I think that they are on their way if Allen can play. If he’s good, they have a young QB, a good defense, 9 picks and $100M(ish). This team has a chance to be like the Eagles.
  3. I think Allen’s floor is Jake Locker. His ceiling is Aaron Rodgers. Nate and AJ, to me, are no more than bottom of the league starters or backups. If one of them became “Matt Moore” it would be a success.
  4. Not sure why you are so upset? You are entitled to your opinion. I don’t think it’s reasonable to say that the Bills have “a talented trio.” They have one of (if not the) most physically gifted QBs in the world. He has questions at this point. The other 2 have tons of questions. I’m sorry that you take that as “doom and gloom.” It’s reality though. If Allen hits his ceiling (or even close to it) the Bills QB situation is solved. If he doesn’t in 2 years we will be looking again like Denver with Paxton Lynch. That’s the way the NFL works.
  5. You think that it’s a talented trio? I think that they have 2 guys that are backups and a high ceiling, low floor rookie. If Allen hits the ceiling the Bills are in good shape. If he doesn’t they will have one of the worst QB situations in the league.
  6. Q. Why does Jared from Subway like twenty eight year-olds? A. Because there is twenty of them.
  7. It’s not about making it better or higher rank. It’s about how the situation played out. Dennison was in charge of the offense. He pushed for that move and McDermott gave him an opportunity to prove what he believed was right. It wasn’t right. McDermott held him accountable by firing him. It’s not rare at all though for a coordinator or a position coach to make changes. They are much closer to the situation than the HC. Dennison was the one in the film room, offensive meeting room and in the huddle at practice. The HC is the CEO and ultimately signs off on everything but that doesn’t mean that’s what he would have done. Agreeing to something and asking for something are 2 different things. I would say that’s true. The arms are maybe comparable but Peterman is a better athlete than McCarron. Peterman is an underrated athlete.
  8. Yeah, he was taking some heat for the offense’s regression. They were a top 10 scoring offense 2 straight years and then fell flat. He believed that it was because Tyrod wasn’t equipped to run his offense (which he wasn’t). Dennison felt that Peterman would deliver the ball on time and was more suited to run the west coast offense. When it failed that was basically the nail in Dennison’s coffin. Anybody though that makes players fit their system instead of making their system fit the players is destined to fail. I’m encouraged by Daboll’s strong belief that you play to your strengths and to an opponents weakness. FWIW, and I don’t know if I should be sharing this McDermott actually apologized to the team about it after. I actually thought that McDermott showed great leadership in that situation. He took the bullet publicly and held himself accountable to the team.
  9. Hokie and I exchanged PMs on it earlier in the week. We had heard the exact same thing from 3 different people in the room. Dennison was 100% the reason that the move was made.
  10. It had to do with “future earnings” I think. Basically, his claim is that the injury pretty much ended his earning potential. It’s not crazy to think that the $2.5m could have been about $4m a year for 3 years. Also, only a portion of the damages were compensatory and part was punitive. The court held them accountable for their negligence.
  11. So far in this thread you’ve suggested 2 hypotheticals: 1. What if Peterman starts 10-0 with a 3:1 TD:INT? 2. What if the qb with the lowest int percentage ever, threw 5 INTs in the 1st half against the Chargers? Why not, “what if LeSean McCoy runs for 14,000 yards this season?”
  12. The worst thing to happen to us was Peterman playing great against Clemson. It gave people false hope. I do agree that he is smart and he is WAY underrated as an athlete. McCarron wouldn’t have played ahead of Taylor. There is a reason that a team gave up pick 65 and is paying Tyrod $18m instead of just signing McCarron for $5m. Allen is the only guy that matters in this conversation. Everyone else is vying to be a decent place holder for a couple of months at most.
  13. I guess this is the disagreement. I think Tyrod is a decent game manager. I think 99% of the people in the NFL would agree with that. Nathan Peterman is light years from that point. If Peterman ever achieved what Taylor has it would be a miracle. We are all in agreement that Taylor is no better than okay. Peterman is so far from “okay” with a ceiling that probably doesn’t even reach that. There is little to no chance that Peterman starts 40 something games with a winning record and 3:1 TD to INT. You hate Tyrod but are willing to give a lot of slack to a guy who has less than a 1% chance of replicating Tyrod’s career.
  14. I feel the opposite. I can’t figure out why some people are so hopeful for him? He has been awful when given the chance and was the 191st pick for a reason. Where is the optimism coming from? @Alphadawg7 did a pretty good job of saying what ACTUALLY happened not what we want to happen.
  15. They changed the name a couple of years ago. The logos are awesome!!
  16. Timberwolves went to the playoffs this year. Also, I did the minor league thing last night. We went to the Baby Cakes game. Thursday’s they do $2 beers and you can bring your dog. 5 of us went (plus my dog). We tailgated, played cornhole and drank about 15 beers over the course of the night. It was a lot of fun.
  17. I didn’t say that he was. I said that he’d be “a great #2 option.” He has never been the top focus of a defense in the passing game though, that’s been Gronk. The rest of New England’s receivers have been interchangeable depending on the opponent. Edelman has consistently done his work from the slot where he has been the most consistent of New England’s wide receivers.
  18. I voted Anderson. He’s the most well rounded of the guys. He’s the only guys on that list that can be a number 1 IMO. Benjamin and Edleman are good complimentary players and would be great #2 options. Anderson is still getting better (even though he’s a lunatic) while Benjamin and Edelman may not be.
  19. 24 pages later some people just can’t stop talking about our former quarterback.
  20. Just wait until he tells the fans to “enjoy their little jobs.” He will be public enemy #1.
  21. Let’s go another direction. A segment of the fans should dress as sparrows from Game of Thrones. They should seek out opposing team fans walking towards the stadium and turn it into a walk of atonement. Someone has a bell and starts the “shame” chant and all surrounding Bills fans join in. https://youtu.be/M-9u6msqJNo
