  1. My guess is Darnold is next and then Allen.
  2. That’s more than fair. That’s the appeal of Bell. On a team that lacks weapons you’d be getting an elite runner and receiver. You’d wear him out pretty quickly but he can certainly alleviate the pressure on a young QB.
  3. I suggested earlier offering a late round conditional pick for White. The Bears upgraded the WR room this spring. White appears to finally be healthy. He could be a good “buy low” option. Diggs is my top FA target. I know I’m in the minority but I’d consider Bell if Shady is done (which we don’t know). That would be my “big ticket target.” I like the idea of James as well. The Bills never seem to find the RT. They can use the draft (or even trade) to address WR and interior OL. There have been a few WR trades recently.
  4. Well if anyone ever wants to come to New Orleans I’ll be happy to put together an itinerary. It can range from degenerate to total degenerate and I’ll only charge a couple hundred. After my brother’s bachelor party my friends and I are entertaining the thought of starting a niche travel agency. Basically for a few hundred bucks we will plan out your weekend with a money back guarantee (that doesn’t apply if you are pissed that you got robbed in the French Quarter).
  5. Nelson is an exception though. He’s projected as a perennial all-pro. Those guys don’t come along often. There are certain positions like guard and safety that you shouldn’t take in the top 10 unless they are prospects like Nelson or Ed Reed. The top 10 has to be shutdown corner, blindside tackle, QB, elite skill player or pass rush. Those things are all “tough to come by.” Teams don’t let those guys hit the market (almost ever). Matt Ryan will forever be a Falcon, Von Miller a Bronco, etc....
  6. I don’t disagree that offense is a WAY, WAY bigger need. This holds especially true if Shaq Lawson turns the corner as some have suggested. That class next year though may be the greatest DL class ever (and probably is at this point). If you can add a guy that’s going to get almost a sack a game you have to consider it. That could elevate from a good defense to a great defense. Additionally, sacks are expensive. If you can get cost controlled pass rushers and QBs it allows you to overspend elsewhere to nab high end talents. You may be able to chase Bell and/or Beckham next year because your cap space isn’t all committed to pass rush and QB. Just to be clear I am in no way opposed to a #1 WR (AJ Brown). I don’t think that an OL will warrant that spot, assuming it is a top 10 pick. The only way I’d draft an OL top 10 is to protect the blindside and I think that’s the one spot that the Bills have filled.
  7. My guess is DL based on the incredible talent in the next draft. The Bills could be looking at a franchise altering pass rusher like Bosa. I think that WR, OL and RB will be the biggest needs. They will continue to swing in FA and the draft. It is like Noah’s Ark though; they’ll need 2 of each.
  8. You’ve done the ghost tour?!? That is the craziest story.
  9. We should have had the option to vote for more than 1 option. I’m standing with the offended at the moment but if you’re offended it could be for multiple reasons. It evokes violence and death and religion and sport should be separated. The name was even cleared by the archbishop!! Also, the colors are black and gold as a reference to oil aka “black gold.” There are more environmentally friendly sources of energy.
  10. Not true the last team name change was the minor league baseball team. They are now the New Orleans Baby Cakes and it is awesome!! I voted for the Rougarou for the basketball team. The Pelicans were an old New Orleans baseball team. Benson wanted that name. Now, there is a boxing champ from here using the Rougarou nickname and he even wears the werewolf mask. I love it!!
  11. Fun fact about the Saints. They are the only team in professional sports that doesn’t have the trademark for their logo. They only own the color scheme.
  12. I don’t think I’m going to Baltimore but may hit the home opener the next weekend. I’ll be in Houston too. Hoping to try to hit another road game somewhere and another home game.
  13. Yeah, they tried to get back into the 2nd when he was there.
  14. No idea where it came from. He is pretty plugged in and has given me a bunch of info in the past but he also is a WGR listener (and caller). That’s certainly possible.
  15. Yeah, speaking of looking under every rock where is @Boyst62? Speaking of mistakes I haven’t seen him in a while.
  16. I don’t necessarily believe it. It doesn’t make sense to me but he is right more than he’s wrong. We will see I guess.
  17. I don’t necessarily believe it but heard it from a guy that has had a lot of info in the past.
  18. I was a big fan of Mitchell coming out. I still am. Hearing some buzz about Dez (don’t know if it’s real). Stay tuned...
  19. Hearing some buzz about Dez...
  20. I think it’s telling that the Bills tried to trade back up for Christian Kirk. That tells me that they understand how bad that group was. Outside of KB I wouldn’t say any holdover is a lock.
  21. Alexander to black Humber to blue Vallejo to blue Stanford to red Hughes black Washington blue Yarborough blue Teller Blue Neal black Bush blue Great work as always!!
  22. I think that the Bills beat the Chargers in Week 2. The Bills are pretty tough at home. Baltimore is winnable but the Ravens are probably a TD favorite at home.
  23. No doubt, the Pegula have done wonders for WNY. A lot of other people invested downtown before it was “cool.” Croce, Termini, Sinatra, etc... have done a ton for Buffalo by investing early.
  24. Ha ha, did you forget about October Surprise?!? We didn’t have power for like 10 days!! I’ll give you September (and you can combine late May and early October). The early part of the football season is great weather. It is almost the opposite here. June, July and August are oppressive. This last week has been especially hot. The heat index over the weekend was 114!! You either stay in the pool or in the AC. You really any do anything else.
