  1. All joking aside I’m not opposed to betting preseason games. There really is no rhyme or reason to it. It doesn’t require a ton of handicapping like the regular season. It’s more like betting a coin flip or what color tee you are going to pull out of your bag. If you get it right, great, if not, damn. You can’t bet a lot in preseason but it’s always more fun to have a little action on it.
  2. Don’t you judge me!!
  3. Erik and his team do a great job. They are incredibly knowledgeable. The level of depth that they go to is past any Bills coverage I’ve ever seen from the media. The only other place that you can get that level of analysis is from some of the great posters here. We are blessed to have a handful of people that really dig in like that.
  4. I don’t remember anyone questioning his ability? His decision making on and off the field, combined with his health is why he got knocked way down the board. You been saw it the other night. He made some great plays with his arm and legs. Later Chad threw and INT and then threw a pick 6 that the DB dropped. A lot of good mixed with some bad. He’s miles ahead of Paxton Lynch though IMO. Chad can make plays.
  5. Teller was great the other night. He mauled guys.
  6. I could see the Bills taking a run at the kid at UB or the Ole Miss kid. Those guys have high ceilings. They are probably going to bring back Benjamin but he’s not a good #1 IMO. If you could add a guy with similar talent and more speed you could be really good at the position.
  7. Love impressed me a lot!! I found myself wondering who it was like 3 times. He’s probably a PS guy IMO but has a chance to make the team. That’s my issue. He isn’t expensive. I just think that he’s limited and not reliable off the field. If you could turn him into a functioning CB you’d have to IMO.
  8. One of the big misconceptions around here seems to be that Dak was bad last year. He wasn’t. Last year he was 9-7, threw for 3,324 yards, threw 22 TDs and ran for another 6. He completed 62.9% of his passes with limited weapons (and Zeke suspension). He did throw 13 INTs but had an 86.6 rating and a 66.3 QBR. That’s above average starting QB play, not the play of an average 4th rounder. He may not be a future HOFer but if you are a Cowboys fan you are thrilled with how he’s started his career. He looks like, at worst, a good starter.
  9. I could see a player for player trade like the one where we traded Chris White for Thad Lewis. Maybe they use a QB, a receiver or DL to try to get a CB? How about something like Adolphus Washington for Mackensie Alexander? The Vikings have crazy CB depth and could use another interior DL. Washington would probably crack their 2 deep and with the addition of Mike Hughes, Alexander is their 4th or 5th CB.
  10. I don’t love DiMarco but he’s staying. He is overrated though.
  11. I’m with you. We can become Ellis Island for former 1st round WRs that need a change of scenery (Benjamin, Treadwell, Coleman). They are great cheap options.
  12. I don’t know much about him but he played some last year(in every game it said). He can’t be terrible. Washington, to me, just gets pushed around. He’s never been the guy that he could have been. Additionally, the Bills can kick Shaq inside on passing downs. He was effective at Clemson doing that.
  13. Not a bad first pass. I’m keeping one more RB and one less TE (probably cut Thomas). There are a few other tweaks (Newhouse over Boetteger and Adolphus Washington goes IMO). I think safety is one is one of the strongest spots on the roster. You kept 5 of them and then said you wanted to improve there? If you meant CB I would agree. The depth there is scary. Good list though!! I think you are pretty close.
  14. It’s kind of funny that you say that because I was watching that game last night and saw him out there. I forgot he was in Minnesota. I was thinking “I wonder what it would take to get him?” He can’t be more than the number 3 there? After a brutal rookie year he was a little better last year. He would be another buy low candidate. The main problem I see if the Vikings are going for it this year. They are a Super Bowl favorite. I don’t see them trading a depth receiver for a late round pick. If Theilen or Diggs goes down I’d imagine Treadwell becomes pretty important.
  15. I think that’s one of the issues. They have a bunch of guys that are bottom of the roster caliber receivers. IMO they need a number 1 and they’d be good. If you bumped everyone down one spot you’d be pretty good.
  16. Nice topic!! I think it will be 6 or possibly 7 with the new ST rules. I have them at 7. KB Coleman Kerley Zay Reilly Holmes McCloud
  17. Ha ha, you’ve been threatened that this is what you’ll be remembered for? That is just the way that that it works around here. We are all remembered for our worst opinions. That’s the scarlet letter we all wear. I was positive that Da’Rick Rogers was a better use of a roster spot than Hogan. While Hogan isn’t great Rogers flamed out quickly. You will be remembered as the guy that wouldn’t trade Peterman or McCarron for Dak. Wear it with pride.
  18. Rosen was my guy throughout the draft process. I wasn’t happy with the selection of Allen over Rosen. It’s not that I didn’t see Allen’s talent; I feared his floor. Time will tell I guess but I sure hope that I’m wrong. So far I’ve been happy with Allen’s development.
  19. Yeah, I knew it was awful and couldn’t think of what it was called. I saw a tweet about it the other day and it jogged my memory. Every time I’ve ever seen Mark Davis I’ve thought about that guy but couldn’t remember the name.
  20. Because a reasonable person can’t exclude a guy that has averaged 3,500 yards passing, 320 yards rushing, 28.5 total TDs, 8.5 INTs per year whole completing 65.2% of his career passes and going 22-10. You absolutely can’t exclude that guy to include McCarron and Peterman. This is legitimately one one of those most assinine opinions this board has ever seen!! It’s right there with trading Mario for John Skelton. BB got killed on here for that (and still does). That’s his “Stairway to Heaven” here. This could be yours.
  21. I’m not a Duccase fan (at all). With that being said he played alright the second half of last year. If Teller looks like he did the other night though he may push for that spot at some point. He was mauling guys. In terms of McDermott he’s struggled. He was a guy coming in that some people (myself included) thought could be the starting RT. He’s fallen to the 3rd string and had a rough night. Any way you look at it though the Bills are going to have to upgrade the OL and pass catchers next offseason. Fortunately they have 8 picks and like $80M-$100M in cap space. The defense is hopefully pretty close to set. They may want to add a pass rusher, a CB and an LB but the majority of the resources will be on offense.
  22. He has had an atrocious camp (and game the other night). He went from a guy that had a real shot to be the swing OT to a guy that has virtually no shot to make the roster. It makes me upset too because I was hoping he’d take steps the other way and take Mills’ job. To be honest McDermott has maybe been the player that I’ve been most disappointed in through camp. Siran Neal and Austin Proehl probably deserve mentions. Vontae Davis looked like a shell of his former self as well.
  23. Mark Davis looks like Bucky Larson.
