  1. I’m in this boat but I expect it to be a little worse than you do. I bet under 6.5 last week and don’t regret it. I hope it is a donation but at least it’s a hedge. This is a 3 year process IMO. If Allen proves that he can play I’m not worried about much else this year. Hopefully we find some guys that can play (maybe Teller for example) and worry about everything else next offseason. Let’s load up next year and take our shot.
  2. All I know is he had a bad reputation before he got here and his unit got worse. They were a little unlucky the way it shook out this offseason losing so many guys but still. I agree with you that something has to give and that’s the most natural starting point IMO.
  3. I was just going to say the same thing. You are spot on. That should have been first. They could have, and in hindsight, should have taken another OL in the mid rounds instead of Johnson or Neal. Maybe Tyrell Crosby would have helped fill one of the spots? They should have signed Chris Hubbard or Austin Howard and kept Seantrel. Your OL would have been something like: Dawkins - Teller/Ducasse/Miller/Mills - Groy - Crosby - Hubbard/Howard bench: Seantrel as the swing OT, Bodine as the C and whoever wins out between Ducasse, Mills and Miller as a swing guy on the interior
  4. Yeah, they certainly do some tacky things. I believe that those volunteers aren’t even allowed to stay through the game.
  5. Each NFL team took in $255M in national revenues last year. That is merchandise, licensing and TV. The cap last year was $168M. Networks will always fight over live sports.
  6. The same way that they get paid now, massive TV deals.
  7. I will throw one out there. McCarron and a late round pick to the Raiders for Brandon Parker. The Raiders get their number 2 QB and the Bills get a talented, young, small school OT. He can play RT, kick Mills inside to RG and start Teller at LG. You will still have some lumps but it is a good start to remaking your OL.
  8. I voted yes despite how bad yesterday was (and it was truly awful). I think anyone gets killed behind that OL. I also think that teams know exactly how to play Peterman despite his superb preseason play (and he’s looked great). Teams will pressure him and play underneath all over the field. I don’t see any team letting the Bills run quick passing plays (regardless of who is in there). Why would you? They haven’t proven that they can hold up at the LOS so just bring heat and jump routes. The only way that’s going to change is if the Bills elude the rush and make a few plays down the field. I don’t think it’s going to be pretty at all. With that being said, I’d just assume he gets the experience now. The Bills aren’t going to be very good this year. That factors into my reasoning as well. If you are going to take your lumps do it now.
  9. Good topic Shady!! I’m going to give a standing O to Dalton and Boyd when they are first mentioned. From there I’ll be mostly indifferent. It was a big moment
  10. I’ve decided. If you throw 5 INTs in a half it counts. If you throw 5 TDs in a half it counts. Everything that actually happens counts. That’s why we keep stats and records.
  11. That’s what I thought too. You need big time receivers and pass rushers in madden to dominate. We have neither. The Texans, as an example, are a great Madden team.
  12. Khalil Mack and Julio Jones get it done and move on
  13. Don’t forget Mack’s brother is here. The Bills will be very high on his wish list should he have an option.
  14. It does make a difference why though. If the player was treated with respect by the front office the holdout wouldn’t be happening. I don’t see Beane and McDermott going 9 months without speaking to their superstar. No one is blaming Mack in this situation. This is all on Gruden and the Raiders. He’s unhappy that the comparable players around the league have $70M guaranteed and they want him to play out his current deal. It’s not a mystery.
  15. Miller is okay but he’s a FA after this year. I get the sense that this group isn’t high on him. He will get a chance to prove himself this year but I’d bet he’s elsewhere in 2019. Groy is the assumption. I’m higher on him than most I think. He played well when given the opportunity. He may not be a big downgrade from Wood at this stage. I like the idea of Teller at least getting a look with the 1’s.
  16. Cleveland’s pass rush is really good. The Bills OL isn’t good though. They are going to have Bosa and Ingram week 2, Clowney and Watt week 6 etc... The line needs to be better. I think that they have an LT and a C though which is a good place to start.
  17. Yeah, I’m pretty nervous about that group. I think that they need an OG and a RT. It’s a bad group. This is a 3 year “process” though. Next year they add to the OL and pass catchers.
  18. John C. is a great poster (and a Canisius guy). FWIW, you just said “facts do not amount to anything.” Think about that. Nope, unfortunately Shady they just suck. That’s the problem. There are no conspiracies. It is just a really bad OL.
  19. The Bills were down 44 points when Peterman entered!! If you think that teams play the same at 0-0 as 47-3 this will be our last football conversation.
  20. There is so much gymnastics here that Simone Biles is blushing. Call it what it is!!!!
  21. Okay, so pick a game where a team ran for 300 yards against us to analyze the QB play. That makes sense...
  22. Honesty is 5 picks in 14 throws and the lowest INT ratio ever. That can’t be debated. Facts are facts.
