  1. He played inside on passing downs at Clemson and was effective. He has been doing that here this offseason as well. We will see him kick inside on passing downs.
  2. No it doesn’t. It may price others out but not a team with a QB on a rookie deal and no high priced players!! The Packers may be out at that level. This is good news for the Bills pursuit of Mack.
  3. It’s a tough question for me. I’d take the Ole Miss receivers for sure over ours. They are just better. Their OL is really good and probably has the best player of either OL but we may have the better 5. Gun to my head I’m taking Ole Miss I think. In 2 years I will probably have a couple of Pro Bowlers out of that group. I can’t say that about the Bills now.
  4. I was just talking with a couple of guys that I work with and it got me thinking. Hyperbole aside, would you trade the Bills OL & WR for Ole Miss’? Keep in mind they likely have a top 10 OT, the number 1 WR in the draft and another possible 1st round wideout. They also have another WR and 2 OL that will be drafted next year!! It is an interesting question IMO....
  5. That’s pretty fair IMO.
  6. I was thinking more like Chrebet/Amendola/Proehl
  7. If McCloud counts he’s mine. He has performed when given the chance and is versatile. If he isn’t enough of a surprise I will go with 5 TEs. They shock us and keep all of them and only 5 WR.
  8. Good topic Shady!! - Eagles - Browns - Bengals - Titans - Vikings - Pats - Saints - Jags - Ravens - Chargers - Broncos - Redskins - Panthers - Packers - Lions - Rams
  9. I unapologetically bet under 6.5. I hope that I lose but am expecting Christmas to be free this year.
  10. Gutty performance from McCarron. He’s a tough competitor.
  11. This is an interesting take. Good post!!
  12. Not to me it wouldn’t. This team is in a rebuild. They are a much different team than a year ago. This isn’t a good football team now but they had to do what they did. The goal is to win a championship and Beane knew that they weren’t close. They were unlucky with the OL departures but elsewhere they took a step back to hopefully take 2 forward. In 2019, they have like $90M and 9 picks. They took their lumps this year (look no further than the dead cap space). This year is about developing Allen and hopefully finding some other young guys that can contribute (maybe Teller, Edmunds, Phillips, Johnson, Murphy, etc..). If that happens you are moving towards opening a championship window, not a wild card game.
  13. I can’t speak for anyone else but I’ve felt the same way all offseason. The offense is going to be really bad. The roster is really, really thin as well. If they find their QB though I don’t care what the record is. They aren’t a title contender now anyways. Take your lumps and load up in 2019.
  14. Somewhere between 3 to 6 I think. I would say there’s about an 80% chance that they are in that range and 15% better than that and 5% disaster.
  15. Totally different, Flutie was a former star that just hadn’t gotten a chance. Johnson had 1 start and the Bills overreacted and offered a first. Allen cost the Bills, a 1st, 2 2nds and Corey Glenn. He was their guy for a long, long time. Additionally, things are WAY different than they were 20 years ago. Guys have shorter leashes and the rules have made the league more QB centric. You find you guy and you sink or swim with him. That’s pretty much every regime. Allen is the guy that Beane and McDermott bet on. That’s the horse they are riding. That’s not even up for debate. It’s WHEN, not IF.
  16. I’m almost starting to feel bad for him. He really should just try something else.
  17. This is nothing like Flutie/Johnson. Allen is their QB and Peterman has had a great preseason. The problem with Flutie/Johnson is that different people supported different guys. This franchise is in lockstep regarding Allen. They have targeted him for 2 years to be their guy. It may not work out but he is going to be the guy for at least a couple of years.
  18. That’s a reason to do it IMO. If you aren’t going anywhere anyways, get an asset for him. You can always sign Matt Moore or whomever in a pinch. Process!!!
  19. Yeah, Allen and Logan Thomas has arm strength
  20. I think that the OP’s post has merit. You’d think there would be some (or a lot) of value in getting Allen reps today. I actually thought that he may play the whole game. There would be no reason to sit him otherwise.
  21. Jim Miller sounds like your friend’s dad.
  22. I have a game pass log in that my dad gets with his tickets but the app sucks!! I use the MLB TV app pretty much everyday for Yankee games. It works great. The game pass app lasts like 2 plays and the kicks you out. I used to think it was an internet issue but now I’m convinced it’s an app issue. I’ll try again tonight but am not holding my breath. I’ll flip between the Yanks and college football otherwise.
