Which singular player were you most disappointed with?
Kirby Jackson replied to Bockeye's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Benjamin for me I expected Peterman to be brutal. I expected Benjamin to be serviceable. -
I believe yesterday was a bit of a fluke
Kirby Jackson replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I appreciate the optimism but that wasn’t a fluke. This team is not good and has WAY more holes than last year. The saving grace will be Allen’s development. If he becomes a good QB the record this year won’t matter. -
That’s what I’m expecting. It just makes me trust him and respect him less. I don’t need the Tebow speech after the game but just a little more ownership over that mess. You made your case that he wasn’t at fault with a 0.0 rating!! That’s distorting the truth. He was an utter abomination. Peterman wasn’t the only problem but he was a massive one (again).
-
I didn’t even need specifics though. He doesn’t need tape to figure out why they had 0 1st downs at halftime. His team was flat and he clearly made some mistakes with the depth chart. I just wanted him to say that it was a disaster and they’ll work on it. Hopefully today will be a little more transparent with a little less lip service.
-
I’m not looking for a pissing match but in the spirit of “accountability” I would expect you and the other Petermaniacs to have some as well. No one likes to be wrong but we all are sometimes.

Ha ha, this may be the day to bury your head in the sand instead of continuing to defend the scrub that you wanted. Today isn’t the day to defend that bum. As a general rule of thumb you can say good things about him after practices and some preseason games. You should avoid defending him after any meaningful NFL action. 4:00 eastern today
-
I want him to look at the tape. I don’t want him to NEED to look at the tape to recognize what a dumpster fire yesterday was. That’s kind of my point I guess. Just own it, say how bad it was and say you will work to fix it. Again, if the game is close I’m fine with the “we need to evaluate” or “we need to look at the tape.” When you are thoroughly dominated that same lip service doesn’t fly with me (and apparently a lot of others).

Ha ha ha, yes

Says the guy that was okay with Peterman’s 0.0 QB rating
-
I had had to send @BurpleBull $56.30 because of Peterman starting. I should be refunded that plus interest!! Ha ha The other bull brother doubled down last night. He really might be in love with Peterman or at least related to him.

Was there a solid plan on the QB after Tyrod left?
Kirby Jackson replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always thought Tyrod was a decent QB but had no objection to the move. I think tht there was a plan to clear the way for Allen. They didn’t want a functioning vet like a McCown muddying the waters. In hindsight they may have been better off getting a guy like that if they weren’t going to address the OL or pass catchers. -
Who Is the Worst Starting QB in Bills History (NFL)?
Kirby Jackson replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I voted Peterman. He is in the running as the worst ever based on what he’s “accomplished.” I’m not even sure that you could make a case for anyone else at this point. -
If you think it’s a question don’t put them side-by-side. Those guys did WAY more than Nate (and that’s saying something). He’s not even close to them. Hobert is a fair comparison but Nate is worse.

Are we all finally in agreement that he’s the worst QB we’ve ever started?

Hypothetical 2019 scenario, please comment
Kirby Jackson replied to elltrain22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a really good (and realistic) question. The best case scenario would be to end up at 1 and have teams fighting to get there for the QB. You take a package that only moves you a couple of picks and STILL get Bosa or Oliver. If you could do something like what the 49ers did with the Bears 2 years ago it would be good. You take the stud DL and then load up on offense. You need OL and pass catchers. Just keep taking the best guy available at those spots. Outside of Dawkins you might not have an OL or WR that will start next year. -
What is the first phone call Beane makes today?
Kirby Jackson replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My first call would be Bashaud Breeland. He can solve the hole at CB (maybe for now and the future). My second call would be to Matt Moore. He can come in as the vet number 2 and Peterman can be cut. The guy just can’t play in the NFL. My 3rd call would be Luke Joekel. He may be able to fill one of the those spots. -
I don’t know. He can’t be worse. Bashaud Breeland was the guy that I had in mind. Again, I wasn’t looking for him to single out anyone. I might not have communicated that clearly. I just wanted something like “it starts with me” as someone else mentioned. I would have been fine with “we were thoroughly outplayed and need to get it fixed.” When you are embarrassed like that don’t patronize us. It is like when he said after the 5 INT game “Nate did some things well.” Just be honest and move on. I guess that I just lose trust and respect for someone that is willing to lie to us. I was not looking for him to throw anyone under the bus but I also wasn’t looking for him to withhold the truth. Say it was bad or embarrassing and we need to work to fix it. Fair

Oh this is fun!! I think that you are on: - Allen starts - Bodine to C, Groy to LG, Vlad to the unemployment line - I predict that NEITHER Davis nor Gaines starts at CB. My bold prediction is that a CB not currently on the roster is playing that spot. I would also fire Castillo but it won’t happen. His unit is a mess.

I guess for me 47-3 without a 1st down in the 1st half is different than 20-17. I have no issues if he says that in those situations. This wasn’t the time to hide behind the tape. Your team was utterly dominated in all aspects.
-
Just to be clear I’m not asking him to crush anyone publicly. Those guys mentioned were just examples. At the same time when you get buried like that you don’t need to look at the tape to figure out what happened. He could have went the route of, “we struggled in the passing game. The line committed too many penalties, there were drops and some throws that we’d like back. It wasn’t a good day.”
