  1. ‘02 and ‘14 obviously stand out. This team is more explosive offensively. I think that this team has a chance to go undefeated. ‘Bama, Clemson, UGA and OU are all really good. I don’t see another team that has a chance to win it.
  2. That’s how every team views it.
  3. Teams don’t let any good players go anymore. It isn’t just OL.If they aren’t going to re-sign them they trade them. With the cap constantly escalating teams let go of solid players that other teams value more (like Robert Woods). You need to draft 2 starting OL and 2 starting WR in the upcoming draft. You need to sign a decent player at each position as well.
  4. It’s a combination of the scheme and talent. The passing game is just light years ahead of where it was with JT. The LBs scare me a little but I think they will improve as the year goes along. Browning will gain experience and Borland will get healthier.
  5. Over 54!!! ?
  6. 31-24 Chargers The Bills will play better tomorrow IMO. All week they’ve heard how bad they are (especiallly after Thursday). They will show up and compete in the home opener. I’ll be surprised and disappointed if they don’t.
  7. I feel the same way. I actually think that this is the best Buckeye team that I remember.
  8. Ha ha, I didn’t read the thread just the title and this is the 1st clip that I thought of. Apparently others did as wel.
  9. Yep, I would love to be able to go from 1 to 3 for example and pick up a 2nd, 3rd and a 2nd in 2020 or something like that. The Bills would still get Bosa or Oliver and then pick again at 33, 35, 65 & 67. You could start the draft with something like: - Bosa/Oliver - N’Keal Harry - Trey Adams - Michael Dieter - Parris Campbell That would give you the pass rusher, a starting OT, a starting OG, a number 1 WR, and a slot type of weapon. You’d still have 2 4ths, 2 5ths, a 6th and a 7th. You can use that collateral to move around the draft board to get a guy or 2 that you want (ie if you need to get back into the late 1st).
  10. You’re going to have to move on from the QBs. There is a zero percent chance they consider one next year. Zero, in fact that is last on the list of positions that they will consider early. They may take a guy in the 4th or after to be the backup but no chance of a guy before that. It’s Allen through 2019 (at least).
  11. We were going to get beat 47-3 anyways. We could have started Kim Pegula at WR and saved the cap space.
  12. Again, he brings nothing to the team. He played one offensive snap. Someone else can step into that leadership role pretty easily. There is no place in today’s NFL for a $2M a year fullback that plays one snap. They should have cut him along with others last year that would have netted comp picks.
  13. Oh great so Peterman will be here forever.
  14. Should have cut Dimarco instead but I’m not mad at it. I’d rather play young receivers to see if any of them can play. We know Kerley is never going to be better than okay. Maybe someone like McCloud can become a quality NFL receiver? If so, that’s one less that you will need moving forward.
  15. Even worse though because EJ had some physical skills. I’d say Cardale Jones and Losman were more like EJ. They were guys with some physical skills but spotty resumes. Peterman is Rudy.
  16. If you are watching the Ohio State game there are a few others to keep an eye on that haven’t been mentioned yet. Parris Campbell plays the Percy Harvin role in Meyer’s offense. He’s an explosive playmaker when the ball is in his hands. Kendall Sheffield is a JUCO transfer CB. He is a former 5 star and is probably next in the list of great OSU corners. Isiah Prince is another OL that was a high end recruit that will be on an NFL OL. Mike Weber, Johnnie Dixon & Austin Mack are a few more skill players that will play at the next level. There are some younger guys too that aren’t eligible yet that will be great pros (Chase Young especially). Also, I strongly, strongly encourage those of you that don’t follow college football to check out the college football forum. There is a lot of good conversation from people that pay close attention.
  17. That has to be one of the Bull Brothers. The Petermaniacs remind me of the band on the Titanic.
  18. And no one shows those looks in preseason so his pre-snap reads are open.
  19. Perfectly said GB!! People wanted to believe in Peterman because he was the other guy. They also have a lot of trust in McDermott (more than any coach in recent memory). Whether or not that is warranted is a different debate it it is a factor. The same people that wanted Peterman last year doubled down this year. They advocated for him and he failed. They desperately wanted to be proven right so they convinced themselves that he was viable again this year. He failed. It is a combination of the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and human nature. People like to be right. The problem is that anyone being objective knew it wouldn’t work.
  20. The preseason isn’t a great indicator of a QB’s progress (or lack thereof in Nate’s case). As you said, teams play conservatively in coverage and then try to wrap up and tackle. They don’t break hard on balls to avoid big collisions. They don’t reveal any exotic looks designed to confuse the QB because they don’t want tape on it before the regular season. They rest guys that have the slightest bumps and replace them with backups. The best players play the least snaps. Nate is fine if you want to play a rythym passing game against a team that isn’t trying to disrupt your rythym. That’s the problem though. When the game matters teams know that if they can disrupt his timing he has no chance. The play that was the best indicator was when the DL dropped into the passing lane and then dropped the INT. I think he got picked again on the next play. The DBs got right up in the receivers faces daring Peterman to make a play beyond them. They cranked up the pressure to throw off his timing and get him uncomfortable in the pocket. EXACTLY what people thought would happen, happened. It will happen again if he is ever thrust back into the lineup. That’s why he can’t play. He is just too easy to defend. The fact that we could see that but McDermott couldn’t is terrifying.
  21. This is wild!! Guy is looking at 25 years and the Seahawks are hoping to get 10 or so games out of him?!? Wow
  22. This is the QB through AT LEAST 2019. If he is a total failure like Paxton Lynch they will look for a guy after next season. They aren’t considering a guy next year though. There’s a zero percent chance of it. They spent 2 years working to get Allen. Now we will see what he can do with trash. Next year we will see what he can do with NFL players around him. 15 months from now we will have an idea as to Allen’s NFL future.
