  1. Even 4-12 likely won’t have us at 5. How many NFL teams are going to win less than 4? At the moment we are clearly the worst team in the league. Arizona may be next but they play Seattle twice. They also have the Broncos, Raiders and Lions at home. They have some wins on that schedule. I don’t see the Bills winning more than 4 (max) and that probably still gets you the 1st pick IMO.
  2. That’s 2 weeks away BB. UB - Rutgers is this week on Big 10 Network.
  3. This guy is what McDermott searches for on pornhub. Search “bald, wrestling, hard-working, OL that buys in” enter
  4. I’ve read 11/3 vs. Nebraska is what they think but you’d know better. Does that sound right?
  5. I think there will be interest. The Saints gave an additional 1st for Marcus Davenport and he is nowhere near the prospect that Bosa is. Pass rushers don’t ever hit the market anymore. Teams don’t let them go. The only exception is if you look like Bucky Larson, pay Jon Gruden $10M a year, and then can’t afford Mack. The Bears also paid multiple 1st’s to get him. You have to draft pass rush. He will be back in a month to 6 weeks. He COULD play as soon as Penn State in a week and a half.
  6. Bosa for me (assuming no trade back). He’s a guy that’s getting 12+ sacks the day he gets there. He is a guy that transforms the entire defense. You see what Khalil Mack is doing in Chicago. Elite pass rushers change games. Ed Oliver is one of the best college players that I can remember but the position value just isn’t there to me. He’s going to be a phenomenal pro but I don’t think that he can transform a defense like Bosa can.
  7. It’s early but it looks awful. In addition to mistakes like Vontae they tied up space in Star and Murphy. Those are both going to end up being bad signings. I’m of the belief that you NEVER want to be the team paying mediocre players their second contract (if it is a decent size). You just cycle through those “average” players with affordable vets (think Preston Brown) or guys on their rookie deals (think Yarborough). You spend your cap space on stars.
  8. We have a ways to go but I thought that it was funny to revisit.
  9. I was coming here to say a lot of what Ryan is saying. I’m also surprised that Poyer cracked the top 5. He has not had a very good start to the year IMO. Tre White is our best player and Lorax has had a few good moments. Hughes has had some as well. In general though the list isn’t too far off.
  10. Oh we don’t have a chance in either game. They could both be ugly. Bad call aside though the Vikings missed 3 FGs and with 1 of them they win on the road. They are really, really good. GB, to me has the same flaws that they’ve had forever. The defense is just so far behind the offense. They should still be a playoff team IMo.
  11. Agreed, it’s funny because I was going to include them and just decided to leave it at 2. He’s not there. The now have the 2nd most accurate kicker in NFL history. It begs the question, “why didn’t they just sign Bailey to begin with?”
  12. It’s definitlely the Vikings. They and the Rams are the best 2 teams in football. The Packers have a lot of weaknesses. The Vikings have none.
  13. I’m a fan (especially if Shady isn’t coming back). I’d probably add an RB in the draft instead though. The only way I’m paying FA RB price is Bell.
  14. It looks like a rough class imo. The Bills are in dire need of OL and playmakers. I’d honestly be tempted to throw a bunch of money at Bell. He’d be your best receiver and is an elite RB. Roger Saffold is a guy that I think would help. Anthony Barr is high on the list. We have lots and lots of needs.
  15. This is closer to accurate. If Allen can play we are set to turn it around quickly. We are going to have to be WAY better in FA and have to draft well.
  16. He has to have guys running those patterns. There wasn’t a lot of that. They threw mostly swing passes instead of quick slants and bubble screens. The goal with Allen is going to be to push the ball down the field to open up the running game and the underneath stuff. That’s why Peterman can’t play in this league. Everything happens within 10 yards of the LOS. If Allen can make those plays the whole playbook opens up.
  17. That’s not what their offense is based on though. They try to push the ball down the field. That’s what Allen will be. We all agree that the OL sucks. That will take some time.
  18. He’s never going to be the “quick throw” guy. That’s Peterman. Allen is going to play like Ben or Stafford. He’s going to hang as long as he can and try to push the ball down the field. He’s never going to be the 90% completion guy. He’s going to make big plays.
  19. That’s just not true at all. That’s digging in because he wasn’t the guy that you wanted. He looked like other good young QBs do in their first start. There was a lot of positives mixed with a few mistakes. The 2 biggest mistakes were the 2nd INT and the last sack by James (that was his responsibility). He stood tall in the pocket, made plays with his feet and arm and moved the team some. He looked like the guy that we are hoping for. Obviously, he’s nowhere near a finished product and also plays with THE worst talent in the league. It’s going to take longer than “a few more weeks” but if you didn’t leave that game encouraged it’s because you didn’t go in with an open mind.
  20. Um, Tre White might be a top 5 (at worst top 10) CB right now. Hyde was an All-Pro last year. I get your point that the team doesn’t have a ton of talent but the hyperbole isn’t necessary to emphasize that point. We can tell that this team isn’t loaded but there are some quality NFL players (just not nearly enough).
  21. Passing yards don’t tell me much. Personally, I’m much more concerned with TD:int, 3rd down conversions, and completion percentage mixed with a high YPA. Efficiency is way more important than the gross stats. Are you making the plays at the right time? Are you making more plays than mistakes? Are you getting chunks of yards at a time? That’s what really tells the story.
  22. Um, that was pretty damn close
  23. Ha ha ha, I’m not going to edit it. You can’t call out a guy and then fall victim to autocorrect. Autocorrect 1 - Kirby Jackson 0.
  24. Are we going to talk about Beurlein referring to Jordan Potter as “Poy-ay?”
