Rate the rookie QB after week 13
Kirby Jackson replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, and short term he was successful. Even still Tim Tebow completed 46.5% of his passes that year. Jackson is near 60%. We aren’t talking about “what it means moving forward.” The question is “which rookie QBs have played the best?” I don’t think so. He came in on a team that was below .500 and hasn’t lost. The Ravens weren’t exactly a good team when he took over. Joe Flacco has them at 4-5. Lamar Jackson has them at 3-0. His playmaking has fit in nicely with that defense. It’s kind of similar to why Tyrod won in Buffalo. -

His team was 4-5 when he took over. They are 3-0 since. Yes, he’s helped his team more than Rosen or Darnold have helped theirs. -
2019 draft Wish List(trade back)
Kirby Jackson replied to MakeBuffaloGreatAgain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone have thoughts on Noah Fant? He is probably an option. Daniel Jeremiah has him as the 6th overall player and Matt Miller has him at 11. He would seem to fit two needs. -
2019 draft Wish List(trade back)

OL will be prioritized in FA. The OL talent in FA is WAY better than the pass catching talent. -
2019 draft Wish List(trade back)
Kirby Jackson replied to MakeBuffaloGreatAgain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not trying to be rude but there is a ZERO percent chance that they draft 3 OL before getting a pass catcher. Also, Hollywood Brown won’t make it out of round 2 (may not make it to round 2). The Bills will have a pass catcher and an OL by the end of round 2. -
Our Coaching Staff LOST this game vs. Miami
Kirby Jackson replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think that you are wrong at all. The comments about the holder and penalties are spot on. In addition they decided that a Hail Mary was a better play than a 56 yard FG attempt before halftime. Add that to the TERRIBLE challenge and this was one of McDermott’s worst games. This team had chances to win and it just didn’t happen. -
Yeah, take away what was wildly successful and it wasn’t that good. Allen played a great game. It it was interesting though. My brother was a college QB and we almost always see things the same way. I came away today with a ton of optimism. He did not. Allen has a lot of development ahead of him but we should feel great about the progress.

He’s 3-0 and is further along than Darnold or Rosen. His team has rallied. Regardless of what it means long-term, he has certainly helped his team more than those others. -

I’m higher on Jackson than you. 1. Baker 2. Allen 3. Jackson 4. Rosen 5. Darnold -

(hypothetical) Alabama vs. Bills spread
Kirby Jackson replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don’t be mad at the odds. The people at Westgate plug in all of their data and spit out their odds. Vegas is usually pretty close. They say Alabama is a 49.5 point underdog to New England. This conversation started from THEIR opinion, not ours. -

New England New England is -49.5 to Alabama according to Westgate. I’m not sure why they’d only give 33 to UB? It’s posted earlier on this article. We should leave the oddsmaking up to the professionals. -
Last year is the best example of it imo. This year they were behind a 2 loss LSU team. The committee hasn’t been kind to the Buckeyes at all.

Nick O'Leary Signs a 1-Year Extension with Miami

100% agree on the infusion of talent needed on offense. Vance McDonald would have been a great addition!! -

No what ifs, he was 9-7 in 2005 after taking over a team that was 4-12 the previous year. Those are facts. The Dolphins tried to sign Drew Brees but he failed the physical. This isn’t some far-fethched “if my aunt was an uncle” scenario. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1448986-miami-dolphins-nick-saban-says-team-offered-drew-brees-contract-in-2006.amp.html -
Nick O'Leary Signs a 1-Year Extension with Miami

My point is that it doesn’t matter. You shouldn’t settle on any of those guys. Next year, try someone else new. You can throw a rock and find the production that those guys give you. Keep cycling through until you find guys that can actually play. I agree with this. I’m not saying that he is worthless. He’s a JAG. I’m never going to be upset when a JAG moves on. It is refreshing when a franchise doesn’t settle. O’Leary is an average 3rd TE. That’s not a hard role to replace. -

Has this team suffered at all by trying Croom instead? How many more games would they have won with O’Leary’s 7 catches? The back of roster JAGs are 100% replaceable. As soon as you realize a guy is no better or worse than street FAs, it’s time to try someone new. Whether it works or not you are no worse off. You should NEVER pay for a guy that can be replaced by an UDFA. That’s a poor business decision and typical of the Dolphins. I hope that he hauls in another 1/2 catch a game for them next year for $1.5M. -
A guy actually lost to the girl last year. He didn’t do so well on Twitter after.

Kirby Jackson replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has 7 more catches and 77 more yards than I do this season. At best, he’s a 3rd TE on a bad team. There’s no reason to ever protect a guy like that. Take a shot on a different fringe guy and hope that he’s better. -

I guess the point is that neither of them are NFL Tight Ends. You should keep swinging but don’t ever settle for the 3rd TE on one of the worst teams in the league. Hold yourself to a higher standard. Do better. -

We disagree. I have it at 20. We will never know but certainly we can’t say something will “definitely” happen. They will never play. We all have our opinions by no one is right or wrong. -

So many people that haven’t even seen them play until today!! It’s tough to have a strong opinion without ever actually watching. Whatever though, I think that the points have been made in both sides. I think it’s 20, some that I respect (like Thurm) think it’s 40. We will never know. All that we know is a professional thinks it’s 28.5. -

So Alabama beat, arguably, the 2nd best team in the country with their backup QB and we are trashing them?
