I guess that the bolded kind of illustrates my point. Here are 2 guys talking football on a message board and we don’t know the name of the league. We are WAY more into football than most people and we could not name a team in the last league. That’s a problem. These minor leagues NEED people like us have to be the core and from there they can attract fringe fans. If these leagues cannot pull in people like us how are they ever going to get the next tiers to survive?

None of these leagues last more than a year. This one has the best chance IMO but it’s probably not more than 50/50. There is no market for minor league football.

You really think that I want PSL’s huh? No one wants PSL’s. My whole point, is, and always has been, I’m fine paying a little more if the environment and experience is a little more. I would venture to say that EVERYONE feels that way. If we had a nice new stadium we shouldn’t object to paying the price associated with a nice new stadium. We pay more for a steak at Ruth’s Chris than we do at Outback.

It is imperative to remember, they fly in the afternoon before the game, have meetings, dinner at the hotel, go to sleep and get on a bus to the stadium. This has nothing to do with restaurants and nightlife. That’s not an NFL thing. That’s applicable in the NBA , NHL and definitely in baseball where they spend 3-4 consecutive nights in a city. We are talking about the stadium and hotels, that’s it.

Over/Under 1 full season?

That can be said about every single city that they go to. That’s kind of the point as to why everyone shouldn’t get their panties in a bunch. It’s 24 hours

My buddy that played for the Pats ALWAYS says that Buffalo is the worst. I’m fine with it. The players we have seem to like it.

This isn’t even a little surprising. The stadium is near the bottom of the league. The visiting locker room isn’t nice. The weather is some of the worst in the league. The hotels are better than they were but not elite. Again, we are talking about OPPOSING players’ perception of their 24 hours in Buffalo.

Don’t bother, it has not been good

Is Chase Claypool this year’s Harrison Phillips? A guy universally linked to the Bills that we draft? Did he wrestle in HS?

I ran into Garrett Hartley last weekend and he said that he’s heading to Seattle to kick for the XFL team there.

I’ll watch the Senior Bowl (or at least some of it), NBA games and some Netflix

Knowing what I know about that organization, there will be no scapegoat. They aren’t just going to throw Bensel or somebody under the bus. That senior leadership team was literally the pallbearers at Tom Benson’s funeral. It is not like any organization that I have ever seen. The Bills have people like Dave Wheat in power but he isn’t treated as if his name was Pegula. That’s how that Saints front office operates. The leadership team functionally all have immunity. That’s part of what makes this interesting to me. I’ll be really surprised if they throw someone under the bus to try to make this story go away.

This feels like it could be a big story...

That was Kevin Colbert’s son. The Steelers took St. Brown off their board because they had no idea if he was any good. He ended up getting drafted way later than people thought so maybe others had that same hesitation.

Why does that matter? Emmitt Smith is the all-time leading rusher at 5’9” In terms of Edwards-Helaire I’m a fan. He was dominant at times this year. He reminds me a lot of Sproles. Edwards-Helaire is faster than people think as well. He was 4.47 in high school. If he runs a sub-4.5 he will be in good shape.

Van Jefferson has made himself some money this week

He was 13th on the Big Board and BPA at the time. Willis was the guy that slipped at this point.

That’s actually, EXACTLY what his job is. He works FOR the 32 NFL owners. His job is to run their business and make them money. He’s been historically great at that.

Someone on twitter asked him to do the reverse of this. I hope that he does. I’m always curious as to the guys that the scouts are higher on than the talking heads.
