Potential Day 3 Targets
Kirby Jackson replied to BuffaloHokie13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d like to win my $50 back. I’ll bet you that he isn’t on an opening day roster this year. -
Just thinking out loud but is anyone opposed to offering the 5th for Sanu? Atlanta is deep at WR and may be interested in another pick. I’m not sure that would get it done but Sanu would be another nice piece. He’s a similar caliber player to Brown and Beasley but with a little different skill set. He’s a guy that would raise the talent level at the position.

Potential Day 3 Targets

Williams starts to be worth the gamble to me in the late rounds. It’s a little concerning that a guy with character concerns tested so poorly. Without knowing the situation I would say that he probably wasn’t working as hard as he should have been. The talent is clearly there though and it starts to be a risk/reward situation. If you get him late and he displays those red flags you simply wash your hands of him. If he comes in plays to his ability you got a steal. -
2019 NFL Draft - Day 2 Debrief
Kirby Jackson replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great stuff GB!! You know that we differ on Singletary. I think that he can be a 3 down back and he just makes guys miss. Teams geared up to stop the guy and he still scored 66 times. He has been ultra-productive despite being the focus of opposing defenses. I expect him to be the lead back in 2020 and a guy that flashes this season. I am all for the trade-ups as well. There was no chance that the Bills were picking 10 guys. They don’t have the roster space. They were always going to target the guys that they wanted and go get them. The Bills got my favorite player for them (Oliver) and then 3 other guys that I have my top 5 for their positions, maybe even top 4 (Ford wouldn’t have been top 4 if you consider Jonah or Risner an OT). This draft has really raised the talent level on the roster. I see 3 day 1 starters and a dynamic RB. I’m hoping Gore can fill the DiMarco role in terms of leadership and being the “tough guy” in the backfield. I’d rather just keep the 4 RBs and punt on DiMarco. Keep an extra WR or OL. -

I just love that you can use Nathan Peterman as a positive. I like Williams too -
"The Bills are winning this Draft" - Per Matt Miller

I have no idea but whatever they are it’s flawed. Jacksonville is having a great draft IMO. They got real value with Allen and Taylor and this looks like they are doing terribly. -

I love this draft!! The Bills started off with the guy that they wanted. He is a perfect fit for what we are doing. They turned around and added, potentially, a Pro Bowl RT. From there, they got a guy that may be their number 1 back in a year. Singletary is a really, really good football player. Knox is a guy that’s as talented as any TE that I can remember the Bills having. He’s a super athlete that was misused like Oliver was. I think he’s the starter at TE. Overall I couldn’t be much happier with the way that these 1st 2 days went. I was hoping for Metcalf as I think he could be a number 1 but other than that no complaints. I’m hoping for Anthony Johnson today. -

Another one of my guys?!? I love this draft -
RD 3, Pick 74: RB Devin Singletary, Florida Atlantic

He was a dominant player with mediocre talent around him. I just really believe in the guy. He’s competitive as hell. -

I see him as more of a 3 down guy. He FINISHES. That guy carried his team. He has a lot of those Cohen skills but is better between the tackles. This guy has a real chance to be the number 1 in 2020. -

Use the 4th (1 of them) and the 6th to go get DK!!
-
Is Deandre Hopkins a product of Tom Savage and Brock Osweiler?
-
That’s why I’m all in on DK at this point. He COULD be a 1. He might stink but he could be a 1. Everyone else is a 2 or below IMO. We have bodies at the position. I want a swing at a potential star.

Jones is a WAY worse pick than Whitner. Whitner was projected about 5 picks after where we took him and he became a pro bowl safety. Maybe he was overrated and not great but that pick isn’t even in the same universe as this one. Jones at 6 is so damn stupid. Without this being too much of a “LAMP” I love that this thread is titled “Oh Gettleman” and filled with moronic quotes from him.

...a special kind of stupid

That’s the rumor. Apparently, there are some serious medical concerns regarding his back and knees.

Pancho Billa on phone with the Bills gives pick
Kirby Jackson replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know, that’s perfectly said. I’m ALWAYS proud to be a Bills fan and it’s for reasons like this. It really is a “fambase” as they call it. The connection that Bills fans share is even beyond the connection that alumni at a university feel (and way beyond any other pro franchise). We ride or die together. When you are on the road outsiders are always blown away by how Bills fans organize and congregate. It’s beyond a simple interest in the same team. Everyone that goes to a road game does so because they like their team. It’s just different with the Bills (and Jacksonville was the celebration of that). We are one. I have people telling me all of the time how much they love Bills fans. It really is incredible to be a part of it. The way that Pancho has been embraced and loved is far beyond what any other organization would have. It reminds me of how the Saints embrace Gleason but the difference is that he made the most important play in franchise history. Pancho is a guy from Texas that adopted us and visa versa. I hate seeing him go through this but couldn’t be more proud of how the “fambase” has responded. -
2019 NFL Draft - Day 1 Debrief
Kirby Jackson replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great stuff as always Gunner!! I am hoping for DK at this point. I’ve thought all along that the Bills needed a number 1. That’s part of the reason I was okay with him at 9 (obviously Oliver was my top choice but didn’t think he’d make it). I think that he is either a number 1 or he stinks. That dice roll is well worth it at 40. If he is that number 1 you walk out of this draft with 2 pro bowl players at positions of need. Yes please -
I wanted them to take Simmons at 17. I thought that it would be hilarious if they picked twice in the top 17 and neither guy played a snap in 2019.

PanchoBilla enters Hospice (Has now passed away)
Kirby Jackson replied to mead107's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I’m really hoping that Stevie Johnson wears the Pancho mask to make the pick. That would be epic. It would be one of those draft moments that we talk about in 10 years. -
It had to be Gettleman. What a moron (Gruden too).
