  1. It is mostly tied to the losses by line, in an area. So the forecasting and rates are based on how profitable they’ve been. Carriers wrote to a 40% loss ratio in most cases. It sucks for the “clean” accounts because they are rolled in with others in the region and their SiC code to identify and determine the likelihood of a loss. In this situation, they may even have exclusions written into their policy because the behavior is known. The carrier may not offer coverage for this particular situation. The team will either have to find someone that will or self-insure it if that’s the case.
  2. The negligence is the lack of security and control. This isn’t even a discussion. It’s a fact. They would certainly be held accountable which is why they are trying to stop it. Ha ha, I did, I missed it. Thanks Hap!!
  3. I’m in commercial insurance (and we write an NFL team out of our office and 8 in the US) and @MAJBobby is 100% right that will happen. That is the entire reason that the Bills are curtailing it. You can still jump through tables in private lots I guess. The Bills do not want to be held accountable for a death or worse (in the insurance world) a paralyzation. Insurance rates are tied to the profitability of specific lines. They aren’t just random guesses, they are an equation based on the law of large numbers.
  4. I wasn’t going to splurge on the Stones tickets. It was a weird money grab by Jazzfest IMO. They added a day, quadrupled the price and sold out in 10 minutes. I guess it was supply and demand but not for me. I was sad about Bob Seger though.
  5. Think that we now know why the tape is being suppressed.... This Bob Kraft story is the gift that just keeps on giving
  6. Should have sent me a message!! I was out at Zurich most of last week. It Jazzfest this weekend.
  7. Because they said, and actually do, believe in BPA. They aren’t necessarily looking at positions they are looking at players.
  8. The Jeremy White Q&A this morning said yes you can. I think that this is a decent explanation of the do’s and dont’s. https://wgr550.radio.com/articles/news/bills-bus-lot-q
  9. I’d probably get them now if they are okay. I’m planning on making the trip too but have no idea how many I need. I was thinking about buying 4 and then I can always sell 2 if they aren’t going to be used.
  10. You can choose to believe me or not but my information is rock solid on this. I never post what I’ve heard unless I know it to be true (or at least certain as to what they are trying to do). This is from in the room.
  11. Feel a need to chime in on this as all it seems to be is misinformation and fear. No one is taking away tailgating. They are doing what COUNTLESS other stadiums around the country have done. They are designating an area and overseeing it. This happens at pretty much every college stadium and if you’ve ever been to a big time college experience it’s still a blast. People still get obnoxiously drunk. They just don’t end up fighting or jumping off a bus through a table. No one is taking your fun away. They are taking their liability away and are doing it in the best interest of those that can’t contain themselves. Additionally, this is limited to those coming in a bus or limo. If you just can’t handle not being able to RKO someone through a table, park in the grass lot and drive yourself.
  12. New Orleans missed out on the Super Bowl in Minnesota because they refused to give into the NFL demands. The NFL mandates that every city has “x number of hotel rooms at y price” and “z number of transportation for a price.” Last time that the Super Bowl was here the hotels, restaurants, etc... were kind of like “yeah, no” and made a ton of money. The next time that they were bidding they refused to bend to the NFL demands on that so they lost despite being the heavy favorite. @NoSaint knows it much better than me and can hopefully clarify. The Super Bowl is on it’s way back in a couple of years and should ALWAYS be. There isn’t a city in the country better equipped to hold major events than New Orleans. I’m not sure that’s even debatable. The one gripe that you hear is that it’s hard to fly direct to NOLA. The new airport though will be open (MAYBE) by football season. That’s assuming it doesn’t get delayed for the 5,000th time. Other than that, EVERYTHING is in walking distance. Most people that come will never get into a vehicle once they get to their hotel.
  13. You have NO idea how bad the roads are!! The Association of General Contractors and a bunch of other construction related organizations were lobbying Congress like 2 weeks ago on it. It never passes though. https://www.myarklamiss.com/amp/news/state-news/will-the-roads-get-fixed-hb-542-plans-to-get-it-done/1949361801 They’ve actually poured a ton in recently. The saints will ALWAYS acquiesce to the Saints. They have one of (if not the) best deals for a team in all of sports.
  14. Heard something interesting yesterday. The Bills had Singletary ranked 30 spots higher than the next available player when they selected him. This was an absolute no-brainer to them.
  15. You are acting like those guys are Peterman!! Both guys are quality NFL players. They are borderline starters. They aren’t scrubs. You do when said RB was ranked nearly 30 spots ahead of the next available player on your board which is what I heard yesterday. The Bills has a way higher grade on Singletary than anyone left at that pick and stuck to their board (as they said that they would).
  16. This thread is depressing!! There’s some great food in Buffalo but not BBQ. With that being said New Orleans was the exact same way a decade ago and now there are some great spots!! One good one opens and it spawns a bunch more.
  17. I would have picked it up just to make yourself less desperate. With that being said, if you can negotiate a 3 or 4 year deal with him it would be a win. Maybe something like 3 years, $20M with $13M guaranteed? That’s a smaller overall value than Murphy got but a little more guaranteed money. Shaq feels like a more dependable option than Murphy.
  18. Can someone explain to me why a team that just used a 1st on a RB is giving us another pick for a RB in his 30’s? Why wouldn’t they just sign Jay Ajayi for a fraction of the price?
  19. I wouldn’t necessarily disagree except for the fact that he was the All-Pro returner last year. The league decided that Andre Roberts was the single most valuable returner in the league. That to me makes him WAY more deserving of a roster spot than DiMarco or Bodine or Lafayette Pitts or whomever is fighting for that last spot.
  20. Next year’s WR class is better. That doesn’t change the fact that our edge guys > than our WR. Additionally, we are trying to develop our franchise QB (which is probably still the most important aspect of this season). Add to that we had the number 2 defense last year with the same guys and one of the worst passing attacks in the league and the “need” argument is a tough one. I’ll buy prototype and/or age but in no way can you convince me that an Edge guy is a bigger need than a number 1 WR on this team, at this point.
  21. Also, I know it want the question but AJ Green (despite what they say) feels like the most available to me. He’s 30 or 31, coming off an injury, on a team that needs to hit the reset button, in a contract year. He feels like a guy that COULD be hadn’t for a 2nd and an extension.
  22. Julio for me. I like Clowney a lot and think that he could turn this defense into an elite unit, now and moving forward. With that being said, the biggest current need on the roster is a #1 WR. Add to that with the fact that you are trying to develop your, young, franchise QB. Is there ANY better way to do that than to give him a top 3 player at the position? Julio is a complete (and dominant) player. Nothing will help the Bills more than that. You really think, at this point, that a pass rushing DE is a bigger need than a number 1 WR? I don’t even think it’s close. The Bills have 2-3 DEs (depending on where you count Zo) better than our best WR and that doesn’t even account for the fact that our DT’s will get pressure. We can rush from the edge with or without Clowney. We don’t have guys altering coverage or beating their man without Julio. An argument can certainly be made for Clowney (age, cost, etc...) but it’s a REALLY tough argument to say he fills a bigger need on this roster as of today.
  23. I don’t disagree but I’d say they tried. They tried to get the best WR in the league. This draft wasn’t full of number 1 receivers and that’s what the Bills need. They have plenty of guys that can be 2-6. They have guys that have capably filled those roles already. A matchup problem would be great but who? It’s like saying “we are drafting a QB this year” and then getting stuck with EJ Manuel because he’s the best available. I’m on record as saying a swing at DK in round 2 would have been a good idea. He COULD become that number 1. It’s just hard when the guys aren’t out there.
