  1. He’s a player that I always liked but he looks done to me
  2. I believe this one gets done. It feels too easy to connect the dots. It’s almost like how everyone knew we would draft Harrison Phillips at some point. Josh Norman was kind of the same way actually.
  3. He’s not trading up for an edge in this draft (unless by some miracle Chase Young slides). There is no value there.
  4. Personally, I have Ruggs as my number 2. He’s just so explosive but I’d be good with any of them. I would like to see them add someone to go with Barkley. Barkley and Josh have a great relationship and he’s relatively inexpensive. With that being said, if the Bills believe they are a contender, this is when you invest in backup QB. If Josh is to miss a month you have to be able to play .500 without him. I would look at someone like Keenum at the right price (or Brissett if he becomes available). The Saints were paying Teddy quite a bit to be the #2 last year because their window was open. Brees goes down and Teddy goes 5-0. That kept them from a wasted year. I don’t think that’s the case at all. As an example, Tampa at 14 is probably the earliest that you’d go to. You can get there for 22 and 54 according to the draft value chart. You’d basically be paying the premium of a 4th round pick.
  5. Yeah, he’s connected. He has a podcast
  6. Tough call but voted no because it doesn’t really have to do with crowds. Additionally, it gives the NFL the sporting landscape to itself.
  7. I thought that it meant trading for a WR as well. It could be up for one of the top guys or trading for an established guy. I think that the Bills make 1 or 2 major moves. I’d consider either of those major moves.
  8. Kind of but teams don’t do it that way and neither do agents. They try to use comps like buying a home. While technically, there is an average price to buy a home that’s not really a factor. The price is based on size, location, etc... The sellers want the biggest number possible (the players) and the buyers want the best value in terms of a number (the teams). The agents will argue for contracts more similar to players on the high range of the comparison. The teams are trying to use lower priced players with similar numbers as their comp. They negotiate until they come to a number that everyone agrees to.
  9. There’s really no such thing as an average salary. It’s totally dependent on when you sign it. What looks like a lot now will look like value in 2022. The cap and salaries rise every year. Think that most on here expect Shaq to be somewhere between $8M-$12M a year.
  10. Oh man that would be a great deal
  11. I’m curious to see the structure of it. I’m guessing $10m-$12m guaranteed.
  12. (Coach McDermott has entered the chat)
  13. Remember this tweet, CLEARLY the Bills have an interest. You aren’t bringing your OL coach unless there was someone you wanted him to see up close.
  14. I’m not opposed (at all) to going up or back. I’d only go up though for one of the top 3 receivers I think. Otherwise it will have to be someone on a crazy slide, Okudah at 14 or something like that. If you can get one of the elite talents at a need position without sacrificing too much. I’m good going back a few slots too in order to pick up a 3rd or even move up there. The Bills could do something like move from 22 to 26 and then up from 86 to 70. In this scenario they’d pick 26, 54 and 70. You could do something like Higgins/Jefferson, Swift/Taylor/Dobbins and Greenard/Anae.
  15. Yeah, I don’t see a lot of those late picks being used. They just don’t have the roster spots. He’s coming up a few times.
  16. Oh I don’t think there’s a huge difference between the 2. The biggest thing to me is that Shaq is probably 4 more years and is healthier (generally). I think that gives the Bills a higher floor. My fear is that if they go Addison, Hughes, Murphy, and don’t draft a guy until the mid rounds. What do they do in 2021? The position needs SOME stability imo. Now maybe they draft a guy like Anae or even Epenesa that will give them that. Maybe they sign a younger guy or a star and my concern is invalid.
  17. You’d have to think that. John Simpson absolutely should be on everyone’s radar with Bobby Johnson there.
  18. I’m guessing Addison and a guy in the draft. That is fine as a short term solution. Addison and Hughes though is a year to year thing. They’re going to have to find some guys that are younger and dependable. That’s why I’d sign Shaq and release Murphy. I think he’s a high floor guy at this point. He going to get you around 8 sacks and be effective against the run. He’s rarely hurt and is still ascending. My real hope is that they sign Clowney and draft a guy in the mid rounds. I just don’t think that’s going to happen.
  19. I’m not anti-Murphy (I was). I thought he finished the season well. I just think Shaq’s a more complete player. He’s a better player. If I had to choose I’d pay Shaq and eat the Murphy money.
  20. Would you rather pay Shaq $12M or Murphy $10M? I honestly think this is the type of decision that they are weighing. They can release Murphy and save just over $8M. I think I’d rather release Murphy and keep Shaq. He’s the better player at this point. You’d still need to add another guy (maybe go for one of the older guys on a shorter deal).
