NFL.com ranks Top 25 QB's of All Time: Jim Kelly #21
Kirby Jackson replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess we disagree there. If the flag is thrown the Saints run it out and kick a chip shot to win. The Super Bowl was 1,000% McVay and Goff being overwhelmed and out schemed. In fact, I think that they admitted as much. There is ZERO chance that the Saints wouldn’t have gotten their points. The Patriots were PRAYING for the Rams to get there because that was their chance. Payton and Brees are in the class with BB & TB in terms of genius. McVay & Goff weren’t ready for that. I firmly believe that the Saints would have won the Super Bowl if that flag was thrown. (With that being said it would have been OBNOXIOUS around here if it happened so I’m glad it didn’t). Yeah, they will be good again. Believe it or not Brees’ playoff numbers are actually better than his regular season numbers. He really is a historically great QB. If he gets a 2nd ring you’ll have a really hard time convincing me that Peyton was better (and I love Peyton). Brees will have as many rings, all of the records and have done it with lesser talent around him (although great offensive coaching). -

I’ve had this argument with a buddy down here that’s a diehard Steelers fan. 3 years ago he would argue that Brees didn’t belong in the top 10. We would go at. He’s changed his tune recently and has him in that top grouping. As weird as it sounds, I think Brees is crazy underrated. If he gets another ring that will really put him in elite company. He’s also done it with lesser weapons. Guys like Lance Moore, Kenny Stills, even Colston were not great players. Peyton has Harrison, Clark, Wayne, Gonzalez, Stokley, Demaryius, Sanders, Edge, Addis, etc... I think that Thomas is the 1st WR that ever went to the Pro Bowl with Brees (obviously Graham did). He’s just a surgeon. -
This storm was a whole lotta nothing. I didn’t even lose DirecTV until the 4th set of the Men’s Final. I calmly clicked over to the Fire Stick and resumed my watching. I never lost power or anything. I’m mostly annoyed that I spent all of that money prepping and sat around most of the weekend while everyone else enjoyed themselves. No issues though

I always bang the table for Brees being in the top tier. He will be the all-time leader in yardage, completions, completion % & TDs with at least 1 Super Bowl. He has the 2nd most attempts in history AND has the highest completion % ever. That’s crazy efficiency!! If they throw the flag last year, I think he has another ring. There is no way that BB would have dismantled Brees & Payton like he did Goff & McVay. To me, Brees is the same guy as Peyton with lesser weapons. -

You are both right. The stores have been wiped out but I’m beyond prepared. I have anything and everything that I could possibly need. I do have A LOT of booze now too. I’ve been through enough of these now to know you can’t have too much :).

Thought about evacuating but it’s my first storm in this house (and the house’s 1st storm). It shouldn’t be too bad for me so it’s probably a good trial run. It is kind of funny though because I woke up this morning and turned on the weather channel. I was thinking, “I wonder where exactly Jim Cantore is?” Cantore is roughly a mile from my house. I was like, “f@!$”

That’s when my sister was there. She’s a couple years younger than London Fletcher. I think she was the same age as Josh McDaniels. The list is ridiculous though: Don Shula, Brian Polian, Josh McDaniels, Chris Polian, Tom Telesco, Nick Caserio, David Caldwell and Greg Roman. It really is incredible for a school that size: https://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Journal/Issues/2017/08/21/In-Depth/John-Carroll-University.aspx

When the tornado touched down the other day it was 2 blocks from my house!! The dog and I spent about 30 minutes in the bathroom on the floor when we heard where it was. At any rate, I have the generator ready and we will see what happens. My house is pretty elevated so I highly doubt I will take on any water. It’s going to be more about the flooding and people being stuck. Just saw one report that said we may see 25 inches of rain in some spots!! That was from the head of the National Weather Service. That would be insane. It looks like it’s going to be slow moving like Isaac was. It is just going to sit over us and dump rain for the next few days. Just hoping that it all works out.

SI very early 2020 mock draft
Kirby Jackson replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think I’m with you on that. Next year should be a really strong receiving class but I think Jeudy is different. He has such a high floor (and obviously a high ceiling). If I’m trading up I need a guy that will DEFINITELY be at least good. Jeudy is that. He has no chance of busting IMO. He has ELITE speed, run after the catch and route running abilities. He’s one of (if not the) best WR prospects that I can remember. He’s not quite in the Randy Moss category as a prospect for me but he is there with guys like Julio, Sammy and AJ Green. Those guys were the top guys that I can think of. Jeudy reminds me so much of OBJ as a player. -
There are still 5 unsigned Rd#1 draft picks

This x 1,0000!!! If I were an owner I’d immediately concede on it. It feels cheap and threatening. If I were a GM and couldn’t concede on this I’d be watching out because CLEARLY ownership doesn’t trust me. -

The draft order is based on reverse Super Bowl odds. I certainly can’t think of a more fair way to do it in July. With that being said, yes please on Jerry Jeudy. He’s a WAY better prospect than Amari Cooper was IMO. -

I didn’t see it but I’d like to take a shot (in no particular order at the 10). Brady / BB Montana / Walsh Elway / Shanahan Bradshaw / Knoll Marino / Shula Kelly / Levy Brees / Payton Coryell / Fouts Favre / Holmgren Manning / Dungy How did I do? -
I didn’t miss it just don’t see it that way. Unless players are jeopardizing their careers with criminal behavior I don’t care what they are doing off the field. If Mitch Morse wants to throw the shot-put, so be it. I will cheer for him. I don’t look at training to be an Olympian as interfering. If he was gaining 65 lbs for a movie role I’d be concerned.

Honestly, I don’t feel like it’s our place to have a say anyways. The team can either grant his wish or he can quit football. My guess is that he’s allowed to try but he won’t qualify (sadly). It’s hard to do that part-time and still be one of the best in America. We have too many great athletes trying to earn those spots.
