I’m betting on them not being very good but Brissett is WAY better than you are giving him credit for. He’s right there with current starters like Winston, Mariota, Keenum, Flacco, etc... He’s not some scrub that is going to lose his job to Brian Hoyer!!

No offense, but anyone that thinks Peterman and Kizer aren’t terrible is going to have a tough time talking QBs around here. They are the worst 2 QBs in the league. Brissett is a young QB that has shown some promise. The Colts paid him bridge QB money to see if he can be the guy. They have the most cap space in the league so they aren’t in any trouble because of it. It’s the same thing that the Jags did with Bortles last year (and he had a much longer resume of poor play). The Colts are also trying to portray stability as they still need to recruit. Paying Brissett the going rate for a bridge QB is a good start. This is a weird hill to die on.

I escaped the over on OU - Houston (got it at 79.5). It sounds like a bunch of people middled it an hit. Ended the weekend 3 (Wisconsin, Auburn, over OU - Houston) and 1 (Kansas). That’s what I get for betting Kansas!!

Brissett was 4-11 not 4-12. He also threw for 3,100 yards with 13 TDs (he rushed for 4 more) to 7 INTs. He has a career passer rating of 81.6. He is what he is. He is Tyrod, Keenum, Tannehill, Fitz and every other guy that was/is a bridge starter or high end backup. Peterman is statistically the WORST QB EVER with multiple starts. Kizer is the 2nd lowest rated QB since entering the league (ahead of only Peterman). Those guys aren’t “perfect to run the scout team.” They are scrubs that don’t belong on an NFL roster.

I bet the Bills over 7 and feel pretty good about it. I was positive that they were winning the 1st 2 weeks but am softening on next week some. I hate that I feel that way but it is what it is.

Neither is a NFL backup either. All that we can go by are your words. You said, “Kizer and Peterman are not that bad.” You also said, “His backup will replace him around game 4. He is terrible.” That was in reference to Brissett. Based on ACTUAL participation in a NFL game those are not reasonable conclusions. Peterman<Kizer<<<<<<<<<Brissett

I can only speak for me on this but, just like Jason Croom & Connor McDermott, he doesn’t deserve to be collecting an NFL check. Good for all of them for doing it but it is newsworthy that he was placed on IR.

I think that this is a good decision for the Colts. It shows some stability. That’s important for a talented roster with the most cap space in football. They still need to recruit.

They can just post a bail bond for him at a fraction of the price

This is the absolute best scenario for NP. He gets paid for another year and doesn’t have to play. He will have a chance again next year to make it on the roster.

I agree 100%. I actually think he was arguably the worst player on the 90 man roster. It makes zero sense

This is where I’m at. They didn’t get rid of Shady to find touches for Gore and Yeldon. They will both be used but this decision is about Singletary. It’s his job now.

I think that it’s Singletary and not even close. This is his job now. Gore and Yeldon will see some action but Singletary will get 70% of the touches imo.

Well said...it’s just kind of sad. The Bills were a bad team and Shady came here and made them somewhat credible. He played well and broke the playoff curse. He’s a guy that I will look back upon fondly. Hope that he latched on with a contender and has a great year (unless he goes to NE ?).

Don’t care what happens to Peterman. I hope he steals another half million. He means nothing to me. Shady makes me sad. I didn’t want this. I like Singletary and think he’ll be good but I’m down. Shady helped push this team forward.
