  1. He scored 67 TDs in 38 games in college!! I’m 100% in agreement. He’s the guy that will be used around the goal line.
  2. Seattle
  3. He’s still a great player. He’s just a lunatic. I’m half-joking on the Patriots comment.
  4. Too bad that he is, “a heavy-legged-waist-bender.”
  5. He’s going to be so good on the Patriots
  6. Bojorquez isn’t going to be on the roster and has already been a bad holder. He did a brutal job of it last year. It should absolutely be someone else (likely Barkley).
  7. He’s all of the above. Irsay has been in trouble primarily from the prescription drugs (like Oxy). He has also admitted to using recreational drugs. For the purpose of my joke felt like “blow” would work better than “Oxycotin” or “Vicodin.”
  8. Nice topic @Phil The Thrill!! For me it is the Kelly TD run followed by the Lawyer Milloy game.
  9. Oh man, does he not realize how much blow $3.2B will get him?!?
  10. Add it to the list!! People always say that I’m irrational on Peterman. Maybe so but this is why!! People defend him as a viable option at QB when he has in fact performed WORSE than any QB with the same opportunity. It bothers me that people don’t see that. He is stealing a job from EJ, Kaep, Heinicke, Savage, Weeden, Cassel, Fales, Brock, Landry Jones, etc... Each of those guys has performed better and are out of work. You earn your job in the NFL (unless the HC of your team fell in love with you in the pre-draft process and can’t admit that he was wrong). Good for Nate for stealing a check from those guys. He doesn’t need to apologize for that but any rational, objective person knows that he hasn’t earned it with his play. He survives by being a nice guy and a lovable underdog. Every NFL egomaniac (ie Gruden) wants to prove that they are the one smart enough to fix, statistically, the worst QB ever. It’s a legacy play too.
  11. You can’t be this naive can you? Teams do this ALL THE TIME!! The Bills did it. It’s a loophole in the CBA that every team takes advantage of. That’s not a conspiracy theory at all. It’s how teams legally work around roster limitations. This is how the Bills protected Joseph from waivers/PS.
  12. We aren’t that naive are we? Guys get placed on IR because they don’t have a roster spot all of the time!!! The Bills did it with Vosean Joseph this year. 17 of the leagues 32 teams kept 2 QBs last year. Gruden is a moron. No team in the league needed to protect Kizer or Peterman (the two lowest rated passers in the NFL since they entered the league). Gruden went all in on Peterman pre-draft. He was obviously wrong as his 32.5 passer rating and 9.2% INT percentage both rank 356 of 356 qualifying QBs (in other words LAST). He likes Peterman the guy so he made sure that he got paid. It’s entirely possible that they reach an injury settlement and he never is active for an NFL game again. In fact, that is probably the likely outcome.
  13. Not true, they claimed Kizer and then put Peterman on “IR.”
  14. I’d be fine with Gordon. He’s not Zeke so I’m not paying a 1st or 2nd for him. He’s an elite skill player though and the Bills could use that. I don’t care how much they have to pay him because I don’t see the Bills in any sort of cap trouble in the near future. Front load it and give yourself outs after year 2 and year 3. I’d offer a 3rd and a 6th. People are too fixated on “you shouldn’t pay ____ for a RB.” I’m fine paying elite players at any position if it doesn’t damage my cap. The Bills can EASILY do that and still have plenty to do whatever else is needed.
  15. I figured that it would probably work best if we created a template that can just be copied and pasted each week: ”I can’t believe that (insert website) has the Bills ranked (insert Bills ranking)!! That is so disrespectful!! Why does the national media hate us?!? The Bills should be ranked (insert at least 10 spots higher). How in the hell is (insert team that you think is overrated) above the Bills?!? This is such a damn joke!! This is why no one pays attention to (insert above website again) anymore.”
  16. We all buy insurance. My house is about 10 feet above the street but I buy flood insurance. It likely isn’t worth the money that I spend but if things go sideways I will be more than safe. If nothing happens I wasted some money but it didn’t impact the way that I live my life. The Brissett signing is pretty much the same thing. The Colts gave him the contract of a bridge guy. They had something like $128M of cap space next year. This doesn’t impact ANY football decisions. It is strictly insurance. There is no downside for the Colts.
  17. Disagree when you have $100M plus in cap space. These decisions aren’t made in a vacuum. The Brissett decision was insurance. If he plays poorly it costs you nothing but Irsay’s money. It doesn’t impact any football decisions. If he plays well you are insulated. He won’t hold out because they did well by him. There is NO risk for the Colts with this decision.
  18. There is no reason not to either. The gamble is him playing well and commanding a big salary. The downside of this contract is nothing. It’s doesn't preclude one single decision that they wanted to make. If he plays well (or even okay) you are looking at $22M plus EASILY. They gave him $15M. There is no risk.
  19. The franchise tag for a QB was about $25M this year. The Colts gave him 2 years and $30M with $20M guaranteed. If Brissett plays well there is NO WAY that they were getting him for that price. They already have the most cap room in the NFL so they hedged. They got him for a fraction of what he would have commanded if he played well. At the same time, his contract means NOTHING in the grand scheme of things to the Colts. It won’t prevent them from making a single decision that they want to make. I could not disagree with you more on this topic.
  20. I made 3 Bills bets last week. I bet over 7 wins for $500 (-135). Bills to win the AFC East for $30 (+800) and Bills to win the AFC for $10 (+3500). I also have Texans to win AFC South (+220), Cowboys to win NFC (+750), 49ers under 8.5 wins (-135), Colts under 7.5 wins (-120), Broncos under 7 wins (-110), Brees to win yardage title (+750), Evans to win receiving title (+1400) and Carson to win the rushing title (+2800). I feel pretty good about the Bills, Texans and 49ers bets. I bet twice as much on the Colts as the 49ers and am kind of kicking myself for that.
  21. Can you imagine how beloved Tyler Boyd would be?!?
