  1. That’s probably true.
  2. If he was as good as Mahomes he’d have a job. If he was as good as Peterman we wouldn’t be talking about him. Unfortunately for Kaep he’s somewhere in between.
  3. Not that I want to go down this road but he’s kind of in the “juice not worth the squeeze category.” Is Kaep one of the best 64 QBs in the world? Yep. Is he good enough to warrant the circus that will follow? Apparently not.
  4. I don’t see it. Clemson, OU, and SEC champ should all be 1 loss conference champs (at worst).
  5. If Wisconsin wins the conference title on a neutral field they go. They would have one loss, at a 1 loss Ohio State. They would have the best loss in the country (with the exception of LSU at Alabama but they couldn’t win the conference title in that scenario).
  6. Ohio State has to play Wisconsin (most likely twice) who is 6 in the country, Penn State who is 7. They go to Ann Arbor and while UM isn’t great they are 16. If Ohio State runs the table they will have 6 wins against ranked teams and 3 against the top 10. That’s every bit as impressive as UGA. Even one loss would be the same. I know that you are an SEC guy and living in Louisiana I’m surrounded by the SEC bias. With that being said, the conference isn’t elite like it once was. LSU and Bama are elite. UGA, Auburn and UF are good. Those teams are no better though than the second tier of the Big 10. In fact there are 2 second tier big 10 teams currently ranked ahead of them. The bottom of the SEC is a disgrace and that’s the other thing that people down here don’t want to talk about. The only “okay” SEC teams are A&M, South Carolina and Missouri. UT, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Vandy and Miss. St. are bad football teams. So while you play tough games (like every other conference) there are a lot of cupcakes along the way (like every other league). When the SEC was elite that wasn’t the case. The reality is only 1 SEC team is going this year and that’s the conference champ. They all have holes (like every good team does). UGA has to run the table or they’re out. Clemson hasn’t looked good but their path is clear. OU has looked good and has a pretty clear path as well. Ohio State and Wisconsin have looked great but will have to play each other twice. Penn State hasn’t lost yet and has some opportunities (like last week) for a good resume. At the end of the day, it’s going to be: - Alabama/LSU - Clemson - OU - OSU/Wisconsin
  7. A decent ND team outplayed them at home. UGA is no better than a decent team this year and has major flaws. They picked the wrong QB.
  8. I guess that this is where we may not agree. I think about 10 teams can beat them. 2 of them are in the SEC (Bama and LSU). They are better than UF and Auburn (at least I think that they are). They are not better than Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and may not be better than Penn State. They absolutely, 100% have to run the table to get into the playoff. With a loss like that they aren’t getting in over a 1 loss conference champ. That means Ohio State, Wisconsin, Clemson, Penn State and Oklahoma all have a clearer path at the moment.
  9. Go to Brunners, get the steak sandwich, thank us later
  10. Going to Houston for the ALCS games 1 & 2 (LAMP)
  11. That’s legit a low end estimate. I heard 37,000 most recently and even that may be selling it short. That’s stadium was 50/50 at worst It worked for us, especially with the rain. We went to Honky Tonk Central on Broadway and had some drinks. They had a band. The Shout song was played a bunch and then we strolled over to the stadium. It was nice.
  12. I know we are in a “touristy” area but there are SO many Bills fans. This looks like Jacksonville did. 30,000 is the number that I heard and honestly that’s not hyperbole. It’s CRAZY
  13. Man, people don’t read directions!! It’s Watkins for me. He’s the guy that can dominate games. The Bills don’t have another skill player that can do that (with the possible exception of Josh). Woods is a really good receiver and would absolutely improve the team but he doesn’t take over games. Sammy doesn’t do it as consistently as we’d like but he does it (see week 1). I’d probably have Gilmore 3rd and that’s because the secondary would be good either way. Incognito would be next (I think he was around for this regime). Goodwin and Dareus would be next in no particular order
  14. 3 and my feelings are similar to yours. The Bills haven’t played well outside of the 2nd quarter vs. the Giants. That leaves me optimistic. I think that they are a good team that hasn’t played well not a bad team playing over their heads. That makes me believe that the Bills are in this thing for the long haul.
  15. A bit of both. The talent is certainly there. The defensive coaching is WAY better. In terms of Urban, he just believed that his offense would work even when it didn’t. When I saw Haskins running zone read I wanted to jump through the TV. That’s not his game. He is a great recruiter and big game coach. He’s a legend. It just feels to me like they attack more now. Foot on the throat
  16. Yes, yes they are. I said over the summer that they’d be better with Ryan Day and people looked at me like I had 12 heads. This team is as dominant as any that I can recall. They are explosive on offense and devastating on defense. They take the ball away and never give it away. There is blue chip talent everywhere and good coaching. Assuming that they stay healthy, there is no ceiling.
  17. @CowgirlsFan y’all are welcome to join us at Fat Harry’s for the Bills game. That’s the only Bills Backers bar here. I too will be heading to the game tomorrow night.
  18. This is one of the few times that someone from the outside managed to capture the feel of a Bills tailgate. You kind of either get it or you don’t. It’s rare that someone without ties to the Bills “gets it.” This guy did a nice job.
  19. So, if he beats one of the worst teams in the NFL he’s safe? This game is enough to overlook everything since 2014? Nice organization... He stinks
  20. This one is a bit tough for me. I’ve been saying that a #1 WR is right near the top of the list for biggest needs but am not sure Diggs is that guy. If you combine that with his big contract (not that we have cap issues) I don’t believe that he moves the needle. Would he make the Bills better? Absolutely!! Is he going to push them to the next level? I doubt it. I guess that I’d be okay with it either way if the price was right.
  21. He’s one of Brees’ best friends. They compete in EVERYTHING. He played pretty well in preseason and is smart. Brees loves him. He parlayed that into nice checks in KC, Philly and Chicago. He even had another stop here to raise his value again.
  22. FACT!! Chase Daniel is another good one. He has made $34.3M and started 4 games in his career!! It pays to be friend with Drew Brees.
  23. Saying he’s the 3rd best backup isn’t “giving him too much credit.” It’s objectively comparing what the player has accomplished to what the others on the list have. @Gugny HATES Tyrod and even he admitted that. That’s not even close to a hot take.
  24. Without being rude that’s a pretty stupid take. He has a winning record with like a 45 game sample size!! Outside of Eli I don’t think there’s a guy on the list that boasts that resume. He scores 2 or 3 times as often as he turns it over!! He is ABSOLUTELY near the top of the league as a backup. Anyone that argues otherwise is arguing with their heart.
  25. No issue with Tyrod at 3. He has a winning record as a QB, went to the playoffs and never turns it over. I’m not sure how anyone could object to that being near the top of the league for a #2? Barkley below Geno is bad. I actually think Barkley is a little overrated by us and WAY underrated around the country. He’s a middle of the road backup at this point and seems to be ascending IMO.
