Marcus Peters gets 3 Year, 42 Mil extension
Kirby Jackson replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Rams gave up Peters and 2 1sts to get Jalen Ramsey and a pick. That’s a TERRIBLE move for the Rams. Tre will be the highest paid CB in the game when he signs his extension. Xavien Howard got 5 for just over $75M with $27M guaranteed. Tre is probably looking at 5 years, $80M with $30M guaranteed. He’s a steal at those numbers. -
Welp, it’s a war

Whoever hires Joe Brady should feel great. I’d hire him yesterday. He ran Sean Payton’s passing game and now this LSU offense. He’s super young. Brady is a rising star.

OU isn’t a top 10 team. They deserved a spot but stink. They are WAY closer to the 25th best team in the country than the 1st. It’s Clemson, the Big 10, the SEC and everyone else.

I tried to convince my brother to lay 40 points. He got nervous and took it at 13.

Top 10 QBs for NFL 100
Kirby Jackson replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No offense to the people yelling for Kelly but he’s not in the conversation. He wasn’t even a finalist and that’s not crazy. He’s a top 20-30 all-time QB. He’s not a top 10 guy. -
Disputed -St. Doug to be fired after the season
Kirby Jackson replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, the story goes that he had a dugout suite and those suites share a bathroom with the suite next to them (basically 2 suites have a common room where the bathrooms are). Marrone’s suite was one of them and the injured Packers were in the other. If I remember correctly there was some trash talk at some point and the Bills won the game. She mooned the suite next to them late in the game. Someone here told the story. I don’t know if it’s true or not but based on stories I heard about St. Doug I wouldn’t be surprised. -

I’m sure that the players will be devastated. Do we remember the story of when his wife mooned the injured Packers players? Can someone find that in the archives? I’m not good at searching. -
Top 10 QBs for NFL 100

I agree on Young as well. I’m really surprised so many people on the internet were making a case for him. Even still, Brees has more 5,000 yard passing seasons than every other QB in history combined. Michael Thomas is the 1st pro bowl WR that he has had in New Orleans (obviously he had Jimmy Graham for a period). Brees’ dominance stacks up with anyone. -
I’d be interested in that Young guy in the 4th. I’d even consider a 3rd if other needs are addressed in free agency. To your larger point though I really enjoy the discussion in the college football forum. That has some of the best discussions on the board. With so many different fan bases represented you get a good sense of prospects that are overrated/underrated and not even on your radar. It’s just a lot of perspectives which we don’t get on the main board. You get the same sense for teams. I watch a lot of college football (a lot more than NFL) and have opinions but they are from 50,000 feet often. I’m always interested to hear from those much closer on certain guys/teams. This holds especially true when it comes to the PAC and others out west. I just don’t see a lot of those teams/players.

Top 10 QBs for NFL 100
Kirby Jackson replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d love to hear the argument for Marino over Brees. Brees basically broke every record that he had (and will end up being a wide margin). Marino went to a Super Bowl. Brees won a Super Bowl MVP. Without the worst “no-call” in NFL history (literally) Brees would have played for (and won IMO) his second Super Bowl. He may very well go again this year. If your argument is “stats don’t matter” please feel free to make the case for Marino. -

Brees not being on there is a travesty!! Below is a glimpse at his resume (which isn’t nearly finished). -

It’s about 5 hours for me. The tickets weren’t too bad. I think we paid $255 each and that’s downstairs in a corner. Rolled the dice a little bit with it not yet being set but my brother wanted to pull the trigger so we did. Shoot me a message before. We will catch up. I know @Royale with Cheese is planning on it.

Falcons bringing back Quinn & GM
Kirby Jackson replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This makes me happy. One of my best friends is a scout there. He’s under contract for another year so he was getting paid no matter what but it gives them a chance to turn it around. Hopefully it opens some doors for him. -
11-5 sounds so much better than 10-6

I know that I’ll come off as “that guy” but I just don’t care. As long as the Bills are healthy going into WC weekend I’m good. -
Chances Bills play first game of wildcard weekend?

Actually, you may be right. Jacksonville was a bit of a blur. -

They played the Saturday night game that year. -

I don’t know the Texans have played 5 Saturday games in this round I think. The 6 seed is either going to be a really bad team (Pittsburgh/Oakland) or a team no one cares about (Titans). That feels like the early Sunday game to me. -

I’m thinking the late game Saturday. If I had to guess it will be Vikings - 3 seed early, Bills - Texans late, 6 seed vs. Chiefs early Sunday, 5 seed vs. NFC East winner late Sunday -
This is kind of where I’m at. Tre has been every bit as good as Gilmore this year and has done so on an equally dominant defense. Gilmore has run a couple back but that’s pretty much the only difference. The people in the camp that “Gilmore is DPOY” have to look at Tre in a very similar manner. He’s been a dominant player and should be 1st team all-pro.

So the injury rate is the same at 7 days OR 14 days? I wonder what the injury rate is like at 7 AND 14 days? I don’t have the data in front of me but I’d have to think that people are more likely to get hurt playing 2 NFL games than 1? I’m discounting it in this case because there is ZERO upside. Even if it was as little as moving from the 6 seed to the 5 seed I’d be fine with it. The Bills could play the best game in franchise history or the worst and be in the exact same place the following week. The flip side of the coin is the value of “rhythm” but the Bills have been good off of rest. McDermott hasn’t lost off of a bye. Maybe an extra week of health and prep is MORE important than rhythm?
