  1. I kind of looked at it as “most important plays”: It really is crazy to think but the Bills play of the decade is definitely Dalton to Boyd (and it really isn’t close). If we are talking a play that involves the Bills it may be the Stevie Johnson drop. That play started the entire “Bills Mafia” movement. That has changed the perception of the organization to the entire world. As weird as it sounds that day changed the future. Our fan base became the envy of the league over the next few years and a rallying cry for players everywhere. The Bills players are connected to the fans unlike in any other place. This really was the day that the rest of the world was exposed to our passion. It set the table for the culture that we have. In terms of positive plays Fred Jackson trucking Conte in Chicago jumps out, Sammy vs. Minnesota, EJ vs. Carolina, Charles Clay in Atlanta, Josh sneak in Dallas, Josh hurdle in Minnesota and the Kyle Williams TD. These all popped right into my head and I’m sure there are tons more but don’t want to keep listing.
  2. I hate to say it but everyone likes our chances because of how bad their D is. If you add Watt and a healthy Joseph all of a sudden they aren’t the same team that struggled all year.
  3. My bad, I thought you said Daboll. Yes, the other 3 all went to JCU (with London Fletcher).
  4. Primarily referring to Preston and Za’Darius Smith who took them from out of the playoffs to a bye. They also start Turner and Amos who were signed this offseason. That’s just off the top of my head. That’s McDaniels. I think Roman was at U of R.
  5. This is what happens when you hire Hugh Jackson and Freddie Kitchens. The Pats and Packers are largely built through FA. You can win a bunch of different ways. You can’t win without a coach.
  6. I would think that they are zeroed in on Caserio. He’s leaving this year. My sister’s best friend is his sister-in-law so she spends a lot of time with them. He feels the Pats kind of screwed him last year. He will go. I don’t see a better option than going home with talent in place and your guy at HC. (Although this will be another DePodesta power struggle).
  7. I’m not surprised to see Dorsey in jeopardy. He has done an okay job but you need to get the coach. You want him paired with his guy so that they are on the same page. I’d say Caserio and Daboll/McDaniels. They are from Cleveland (except Daboll but he was there) and they are on the same page.
  8. Exactly how I feel. Roberts wasn’t brought here to have 100 catches. He was brought here to make a few big plays. He’s done a nice job so far. If he busts one Saturday it can be the difference in the game. If you want a guy to sit you can sit DiMarco or Perry. They basically play a handful of ST snaps without the ball.
  9. Concepts and film study for me and they go together. There is SO much more information now than there was even 5 years ago. Basically, teams can “scheme themself safe.” There used to be a lot more situations where the “best man won.” Now teams do lots of creative things to try to avoid the “best man.”
  10. Thanks and see you there!!
  11. Do I need a parking pass for this lot or is it 1st come 1st serve? It’s different than where we were last year correct?
  12. I very rarely work. I put in a solid 15 hours or so a week and make sure to do so around Bills games/discussion
  13. It’s funny to talk about this today because we were talking about it at lunch yesterday. My dad’s buddy had an interesting thought at lunch yesterday. He suggested letting the PS guys dress for week 17 and give them an NFL game check. It would be good exposure and money for them. It protects the team and allows more guys the week off.
  14. They have always closed the street for the party but it will be WAY more people than the last few times. I try to swing by those parties for an hour catch the atmosphere and then go get dinner and drinks. It’s just so crowded.
  15. I guess my point is that you base it on one thing or another. Montana is largely on the list from his winning. Marino is largely on their from his record passing numbers. Brees holds pretty much every relevant passing record and will do so by a WIDE margin when he’s done. That’s where the era factors in. He’s going to finish miles ahead of everyone but Brady and I would guess that margin is pretty wide when things are done. We can say he played in this “passing era” but his numbers will dwarf Peyton, Rodgers and others that were considered great at the same time. You can’t ding him for not winning like you can Marino. He has a Super Bowl MVP and the worst call in history may have prevented his 2nd. He may still get another one or 2. Brees belongs above Marino, Favre and Elway in terms of modern players. Brady, Manning and Montana I have no issue with. The older guys I didn’t see so it’s tough for me to comment. It seems like a lot of older fans take major issue with Staubach.
  16. agree 1000%!! Josh is better when he gets hit early in big games. He comes out so fired up it’s best to calm him a little into the flow of the game.
  17. Jack Conklin Larry Fitzgerald Joe Schobert
  18. The point with Brees over Marino is that it’s either stats or Super Bowls. Brees has both on Marino. He racked up stats like Marino did but also has a Super Bowl MVP and should have been in the bowl again last year. He may go again this year. He is going to have every box checked in a comparison.
  19. The Rams gave up Peters and 2 1sts to get Jalen Ramsey and a pick. That’s a TERRIBLE move for the Rams. Tre will be the highest paid CB in the game when he signs his extension. Xavien Howard got 5 for just over $75M with $27M guaranteed. Tre is probably looking at 5 years, $80M with $30M guaranteed. He’s a steal at those numbers.
  20. Welp, it’s a war
  21. Whoever hires Joe Brady should feel great. I’d hire him yesterday. He ran Sean Payton’s passing game and now this LSU offense. He’s super young. Brady is a rising star.
