National Championship Game. Tigers vs Tigers
Kirby Jackson replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn’t t go to the game. It was $2600 for the 2 of us to enter. If it got to $1500 I’d have done it but that was too much. I really don’t care who wins or loses. I guess I’m rooting for Clemson so that I don’t have to listen to everyone. She went to LSU and is a special kinda crazy so I’m keeping my mouth shut. This sucks -

I’m surrounded by all of it but had a great time on bourbon. New Orleans hosts better than everyone else and that’s not up for debate. -

Eh, if winning this game changes the way people view Mahomes so be it. He’s elite with or without this win. It is certainly the least of all evils. KC has real fans. KC has Andy Reid whose been a great coach but never won the big one. They have speed and dynamic playmakers that are fun. They’ve been good for a while. IMO, they are the easiest team left to want to see succeed.

I’m really, really hoping KC looks like an elite team over the next couple of weeks. That I’ll make me feel better about all of this. I thought that they were the nightmare matchup for the Bills. I really hope that I was right. If KC wins handily today I’ll be at peace. Hoping it looks like SF - Minnesota did yesterday, a mismatch.

Did anyone hear mike ginnitti from spotrac on wgr

In all seriousness I think that they add a guy with that skill set. I keep banging the table for Kamara but it could be someone else. They need a guy to play in space with some explosion. Someone “Tyreke Hill-ish” (sans the domestic violence). -

They just need some guys that win because they are better than the guy across from them. They have some guys that are polished but need some guys that just make plays when they shouldn’t. I think they need it at WR and RB. They need some guys that once and a while score from 70 yards out on a screen. -

I doubt that they let him go but I would be all over that. -

Works for me!! The Bills desperately need some playmakers and the AFC is there for the taking. The window is now so this isn’t the time to get shy. These windows open and close in like 3 years. The Bills time is at the beginning of that. It’s the time that you take chances. If they work you can win a Super Bowl. -

Ha ha, I think I’m the one mentioning it here :). To answer your question though, it doesn’t feel like they are going to pay him. They just gave Thomas that huge contract and now they have to pay Taysom and Brees (and maybe Bridgewater). I don’t see them as a team tying up that money in a RB. They can draft an explosive guy, even if he’s undersized and use him with Murray. Kamara wasn’t the same player without Ingram. I don’t think that the Saints can afford to spend what it will take on a 15 touch a game RB. The Bills on the other hand need playmakers and it makes some sense for them. They can spend a little extra to have a guy that’s going to hit some home runs. -

I think a WR trade is possible. I think that the Bills are going to trade this year’s 2nd round pick. I don’t know why I feel that way but I do. OBJ and Kamara are names that have crossed my mind. i really doubt that the Bills use all 9 draft picks with the amount of young talent already on the roster. I’d imagine that they will target about 4 guys between rounds 3-6 that they will try to snag. That will go with the 1st rounder to add 5 guys in the draft (plus whatever they trade for a playmaker). I don’t think that there will be a ton of roster turnover next year. It will be about quality, not quantity.- 103 replies

Multiple Needs Fixed in One Shot: Pursue Taysom Hill
Kirby Jackson replied to MrEpsYtown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That bowl game he just played was incredible. Bowden is a guy I would love. I know it’s a long shot that he’d leave but I really like Larry Fitzgerald as a short term option. He is still productive and would fit a need perfectly. You also have to draft one in round one. Lamb would be my favorite but he and Jeudy won’t be there. Ruggs would be dynamic. I like Shenault as well. Higgins isn’t a round 1 guy IMO. As for the RB, I threw out trading for Kamara in another thread. It’s probably a 2nd, pick swap and maybe a late round pick. He’d add some much needed explosiveness and the Saints aren’t going to pay him. They don’t have a 2nd either so it makes some sense. If they did that I’d draft a big back late (Dillon maybe) and roll with that group. If Kamara is a pipe dream I’d probably try to get Edwards-Helaire if he comes out. The Bills need a back to play in space IMO. Jalen Richard would be a cheap FA option that would fill a need (although he’s coming off a bad year). -

That guy is going to make some team VERY happy. -

The biggest difference is Taysom is a 4.4 guy and Tebow a 4.7 guy. I’m not convinced that Tebow could have ever played that role for that reason. With his size however he could have been an interesting FB/TE hybrid. I’m really not trying to be that guy but there is ZERO chance Taysom isn’t in New Orleans next year. There is a WAY better chance that Kamara is on the move. For comparison sake Taysom being on a new team is about as likely as Tre White being on a new team even though he is a RFA. -
Call your shot (2020 NFL Draft)
Kirby Jackson replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That’s not who Motor is IMO. He’s not an elite receiver. He’s a guy with extremely quick feet that’s tough to bring down. He plays in a phone booth. Edwards-Helaire plays in space. That’s what I think the Bills need to combine with Motor (who is going to be a star). -

You have a better chance of getting Drew Brees out of New Orleans than Taysom Hill. They would build a statue of the guy. -

I dunno but he would be a GREAT fit in Buffalo. He’s Sproles 2.0. He’s the perfect 3rd down weapon. -
The Rooney Rule (still) isn’t working?
Kirby Jackson replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m way on the liberal side on this board and think that I’m okay without it. Just hire the best football coaches. If we get to that point, like the NBA has, it’s so much better. If Bienemy is better than Rhule, so be it. If Rhule is the better candidate so be it. Token interviews aren’t advancing anyone despite the additional “exposure.” Stop thinking about what they look like and ask, “is this the guy I want leading my football team?” If the answer is yes, hire him.
