XFL Cutting down on the kicking game.
Kirby Jackson replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I ran into Garrett Hartley last weekend and he said that he’s heading to Seattle to kick for the XFL team there. -
New Orleans Saints in Court
Kirby Jackson replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Knowing what I know about that organization, there will be no scapegoat. They aren’t just going to throw Bensel or somebody under the bus. That senior leadership team was literally the pallbearers at Tom Benson’s funeral. It is not like any organization that I have ever seen. The Bills have people like Dave Wheat in power but he isn’t treated as if his name was Pegula. That’s how that Saints front office operates. The leadership team functionally all have immunity. That’s part of what makes this interesting to me. I’ll be really surprised if they throw someone under the bus to try to make this story go away. -

This feels like it could be a big story... -
That was Kevin Colbert’s son. The Steelers took St. Brown off their board because they had no idea if he was any good. He ended up getting drafted way later than people thought so maybe others had that same hesitation.

Prospect Watch: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU
Kirby Jackson replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why does that matter? Emmitt Smith is the all-time leading rusher at 5’9” In terms of Edwards-Helaire I’m a fan. He was dominant at times this year. He reminds me a lot of Sproles. Edwards-Helaire is faster than people think as well. He was 4.47 in high school. If he runs a sub-4.5 he will be in good shape. -
Van Jefferson has made himself some money this week

He was 13th on the Big Board and BPA at the time. Willis was the guy that slipped at this point. -

Daniel Jeremiah 2020 mock draft 1.0

Someone on twitter asked him to do the reverse of this. I hope that he does. I’m always curious as to the guys that the scouts are higher on than the talking heads. -

I’ve always been a fan of Matt Miller’s work and found this really, really interesting: -
The NFL, like all forms of entertainment, evolves. Tickets for Hamilton were $850 face value. It is simple supply and demand. We can’t begrudge any business for maximizing their revenues. It is simple economics. We’d all love to own a Maybach too but I’m not going to quit buying cars because I can’t afford a Maybach. I don’t blame the auto industry for that. It’s economics

The new Vegas stadium is next to the convention center. It’s an Uber ride with nothing around it. Not to mention Vegas is designed to be isolated. Each hotel is its own city. Vegas is an unbelievable party town but it’s unlike New Orleans or Miami in that all of the parties are scattered and independent of one another.

This really has nothing to do with anything but I think Javon Kinlaw is going to be a star -

Should have pushed it a little bit with Zion scorching. At the very least you should have brought him back with 3 minutes to go for another short burst to close the game. With that being said, that 3:08 was absolutely incredible.

How does TSW feel about Andy Reid?
Kirby Jackson replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He probably a HOF coach and an easy guy to cheer for. I’m hoping that he gets his title this year. -

I’m all for adding Brock Osweiler!! -
I don’t care for any games but the early Sunday window. That’s mostly because I’m turning into an old curmudgeon. It fits my routine. I get up at 8, go to the gym at 8:15, put the pre-game show on, come home at 9:15, make breakfast until 9:45, sit in the jacuzzi until 10:15, shower and get ready until 10:45, get to the bar at 11:05, game starts at 12. That’s what I like. Don’t start sprinkling in 3 o’clock, 7 o’clock, Monday, Thursday, none of that nonsense!!

Eli Manning: Will He Get Into Canton?
Kirby Jackson replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kind of where I stand. He piled up stats and won two Super Bowls including one vs., arguably, the best team ever. I never thought he was that good but his resume is strong. -

I may be wrong on Fromm but I am bullish that he stinks. He just doesn’t have the tools. A great deal of his success can be attributed to playing behind that OL with top end playmakers. He’s a backup at best IMO.
