Where Would CJ Spiller Go In 2020?
Kirby Jackson replied to Flip Johnson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is correct. The Bills had good RBs. Spiller was considered the top skill player in that draft class at the time. He was maybe a luxury for the Bills but he definitely wasn’t over drafted as a prospect. That’s about where experts thought he’d go. In fact, MANY had him off the board before the Bills picked. I have a WAY bigger issue reaching on Torell Troup than taking the luxury pick in Spiller. -
Tyreke Hill beat the hell out of his pregnant girlfriend and just had 105 yards in the Super Bowl. There’s a line to draw in terms of character but it’s near Tyreke Hill not Stefon Diggs. That’s why it’s a move that they have to make IMO. A number 1 receiver is their biggest need. Diggs is a number 1 NFL receiver.

Someone suggested a 2nd this year with a 3rd next. I’d even use one of those 5ths or 6ths if needed to get it done. They are going to need cheap labor with their cap situation. I’d make that deal in a heartbeat and feels like they may too. I’d even do a 1st if it was needed. It will depend on who is bidding. Diggs is exactly what their team needs.

And they become public enemy number 1 for saving 11 seconds. I despise that person so much!! We’ve all been sitting on this flight for _____ hours and we all want to get off of this damn plane. We get off from the 1st row to the last row; you don’t get to skip a handful of rows.

So glad that you brought this topic up!! It’s something that we need to discuss. My opinion is going to be weak though. They are both a-holes. I fly a decent amount (probably a trip and a half a month) and am a regular sized man. I will NEVER recline my seat because I hate when someone does it to me. No one likes that. If everyone took the “do unto others” approach we’d never have to worry about reclined seats. Now the guy is just an a-hole. It would be one thing if he quickly bumped it pretty hard “inadvertently” sending a message. The pettiness of the constant banging shows that he needs to get a life. So to recap: seat recliner person = terrible punch seat recliner person = terrible person that tries to deplane prior to their row = worse than the other 2

This makes sense. It’s a good number for him and would have been a good number for the Bills. You could have cut Kroft and signed Olsen for very little difference. Oh well, would have been nice but you can’t fault the guy for that decision.

Sign One, Trade One, Draft One, GO!

I think Clowney is the best EDGE option on the market. He’s consistently in the backfield and great against the run. He’s a guy that’s schemed for. With that being said, he’s going to be the highest paid of all of these guys. He’s looking to set the market for the position. If he doesn’t set it, he will be close. That’s why I went with the “trade for Campbell” option. He’s still a really good player and on a decent contract. He only has a year remaining but if you could add 2 years as a part of the trade you’d be in good shape. Cut Murphy, bring back Shaq and you’ve really improved the position. Maybe take a flier in the mid to late rounds on a developmental guy like you did with Johnson last year. I’m not a huge fan of the 2nd tier guys like Epenesa and Gross-Matos at this point. I don’t really love a lot of the “next guys” in FA either. I wouldn’t mind Addison. I don’t really trust Quinn or Fowler. I wouldn’t hate Dupree but who is he? The guy from last year or the guy from his first few years? Edge needs to be addressed but I’m not sure that the Bills can properly address it without paying Clowney or making a trade. I think that they are settling for a lesser player otherwise. I’d just assume Shaq and Anae (or someone like that in the 2nd) over Quinn (or someone like that). -
He took a step back last year after a big year before. I’d absolutely take him back at the right price. I’m not sure that he is a starter but he’d be a nice depth piece for sure.

What risk? Bojorquez was 33rd (keep in mind 4 of these guys didn’t have a lot of punts) in average yards: https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/stats?season=2019&week=100&category=PUNTING Marquette King’s career average in 46.7 yards. If the Bills are going to play tight games field position and turnovers are important. King is clearly the best available punter. This is the time to start pushing your chips in. If you are worried about a punter damaging your locker room, your locker room has problems.

I believe that the Bills are a title contender this year. They aren’t the favorite but they one of the 10 teams(ish) that can actually win it all if things go right. This is the time that you take some chances. King may be an idiot but he’s elite. You hope that he was humbled being out of the league but you DO NOT pass on superior talent at this point. That’s what you need to get over the top.

Name 3 Guys You Want To See The Bills Draft In 2020
Kirby Jackson replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He started to win me over Senior Bowl week. He was just so consistently good all week against top talent. Anae in the 2nd would be great. -

He was the 8th TE drafted and finished 2nd in yards. Not sure how that falls under “disappointing.” -

I’d be fine with those 3 as the TE room. I suspect that they go 4 deep. The cap savings alone from Kroft and Smith could pay for Olsen. I view it as “would you trade Lee Smith & Tyler Kroft straight up for Greg Olsen?” To me, that’s an easy decision. You can use one of those 5ths or 6ths to add another guy to compete. -

I think that he’s a rich man’s version of Kroft & Smith at this point. For the price of those 2 you can get a guy who had 52 catches and 600 yards in 14 games. He is a great veteran presence as well. He’s not the missing piece to a championship but he absolutely upgrades the TE room. Olsen, Knox and Sweeney is a good start. -

He already has a NFL Network job that he works through the offseason. He can go to TV now. Playing in Buffalo or Seattle or Washington has zero impact on what his TV career will be. He’s really, really good on TV.
